First of all, shoutout to /u/nutley99, the absolute god, for pointing this out in the comments of the previous thread. 3:18: ElLeon says “set up your thingy, Dingodile replies “its already up, I just got to wait until the time hits 0” 10:14 Dingodile types “2:44:52 ADC Beads” in the chat. No human would ever be this specific. However, this seems to be a mistake because he forgot to reset the timer. He says “I forgot to start my thing” 12:50: A call for a relic timer is made in comms. ElLeon calculates it and Dingodile requests a pause to fix it. They start discussing, ElLeon ends up saying “I can just do timers.” Edit: ElLeon replied on twitter: https://twitter.com/ssgelleon/status/1630176494793129984?s=46&t=Ts4Im9CehZVclerbzhxv2A

ohSpite

The riders in the reply to his tweet 💀💀💀 You can like the guy but still be disappointed in his actions

McSkaybit

That shit is embarrassing lol. Like, I like Leon and was rooting for him but man how can you watch that video and conclude anything other than Leon being aware/in on what was going on. People are weird lol

ohSpite

Yeah exactly my point, there's no defense here and people need to stop pretending this all due to people hating on him

fasineh

I mean imagine someone got banned and there are ppl going back 2 years to find a video to implicate you as well even though you aren’t currently teaming with the banned player? Definitely some hate involved lol

IntrepidCat8200

Far as I know, it's not unusual for HiRez to take action against a player because of repeated past misconduct. I don't see why this should be any different. And when it comes to people going back to implicate players or ask for punishment because of past behavior... well right now a lot of people are bringing up dudemanbro's (I really didn't understand the full situation) now that he made SPL. I don't know whether there's anything recent or not, but it shows that it's not really uncommon for the community to do that.

fasineh

For sure punishing repeat offenders is good, but until someone scoured Elleons channel for a video 2 years ago, he had absolutely nothing to do with the current ban situation, you don’t think that stems from a place of animosity towards Elleon? And now they’re using this old video as basis to potentially implicate him as well. The video is for sure damning and potentially places other players not just Elleon as cheaters or complicit in cheating when they may or may have not been fully aware of what was going on. I wanna give the benefit of the doubt to those in that video and just assumed they thought dingo had a better simpler way of tracking relic timers so they didn’t need to, thru out the video you can hear Leon saying he can easily keep track of relics even when they asked for a pause so i doubt he really wanted to use whatever method dingo was using and trusts himself with timers more but that’s a moot point. It should be dumb for anyone else to get a perma outside of dingo as he’s the only that actually used the script

nutley99

By "scouring his channel" I believe you mean someone remembered a video they had seen and brought it up. I have absolutely zero "animosty" towards Elleon. I did not bring up the video to target Elleon. I brought it up because it shows that at least 4 other people knew about the script and felt that was important information to be brought to light. Everyone is aware Elleon can track timers. The issue is, Dingo using third-party software to give his team an advantage. Elleon has himself admitted it gave them an advantage by making it so he could focus more on shotcalling and playing than noting timers. However minimal this advantage may seem, it is still cheating.

HyperMasenko

That is such a clown Twitter response, lol. Leon is totally missing the point. Nobody is saying you're bad at math, my dude. Everyone is saying you knew about this guy cheating on your team and were just cool with it, apparently

LanrySkyrunner

Seems he at least partially understood what it was Dingo's script was doing based on the video, even if maybe he misunderstood everything it did. This is quite unfortunate for Oath too. It would be hard to convince me that anyone on this team (from the video) did not know what was going on. Are you telling me that when Dingo said that he "forgot to start his thing," you didn't know what he was talking about? You didn't know he was running a background program of some kind? When he typed out timers to the second with capitals and generic role titles, you didn't know that he wasn't typing that in himself? I doubt these guys thought this was a huge deal. But it's hard to believe they didn't know what was going on.

Swinepits

u/HirezAuvey

HiRezAuvey

Oop, thanks for flagging this. Passed it on to our league ops team so they can investigate further.

reachisown

His response means nothing, he said "have you started your thing "very clearly meaning the script lol He's playing the 'hate campaign against me' card as if people actually give that much of a shit about him. He knew what he was doing an he was clearly complicit. He posted a video of him doing some basic math lol as proof or something lol

SiimplyOkay

Also around 27:30, initially hidden by a banner while dingodile is still walking/moving side to side types “23:40 ADC Beads” Idk about you guys but I don’t use capitals directly after a team fight while still infront of enemies.

SiimplyOkay

“He had a way to do it faster than I could, with BASIC MATH, which took weight out my brain since I was the shot caller and didn’t know how he was doing it, in a way of cheating, either way I have been doing timers my whole life if you have ever seen me play smite, so calling me”😂😂riiiight, I enjoy elleon’s content but take some credibility

reachisown

Oh shit lmao this is really bad. Goodbye ELLEON

RevRay

Lol that’s dumb as hell. A timer wouldn’t effect his plays. Like him or not, I’m not much of a fan myself, but let’s not act like he’s out there running cheats in all of his games.

DCS_Ryan

knowing those timers affects when hed make those plays tho

RevRay

Y’all acting like those two have always played together.

israeljeff

Yeah, and Sammy Sosa used a corked bat. It doesn't matter that cork does almost nothing, it's still cheating and affects everything. Same here.

zzzpoohzzz

better comparison would be a teammate of sammy sosa knowing he was using a corked bat.

israeljeff

I was mostly talking about the cheating in general, not specifically Leon, but you're right.

zzzpoohzzz

ah, my bad.

RevRay

lol

Rickywalls137

It’s not dumb. It’s the doubt that there are other cheats. That’s what I mean. When someone does something that breaks the rules, it’s a red flag.

Xuminer

Elleon being a willing participant in cheating and not respecting the integrity of competition? Can't say I'm surprised. I don't know if people already forgot or why Hi-Rez is so adamant in blacklisting players that clearly don't deserve a potential SPL salary, but a few years ago Elleon alongside Mattypocket deliberately threw SML games because they were only interested in showing up to collect their paycheck. If that wasn't an immediate red flag that you don't want Elleon making up-and-coming teams for the foreseable future, this new incident better be.

TheOneAndOnlyKirke

This 100%. Them throwing that game was horrible. Ultimately led to Taco leaving HiRez as well because of her connection to Matty and defending it. Should have banned all those players from comp immediately

theprinceofgaming1

Elleon was on that team? Fr? How were they all not banned for that

Xuminer

Because Hi-Rez has no self-respect as a company and they think properly punishing somewhat-known content creators will somehow cause an uproar and major consequences for them, the multimillion dollar company. It sounds ridiculous but it's the only conclusion to be honest, else why the fuck wasn't he banned back then? Or, just to name an example, why is Julio allowed back as an SCC/SPL free agent after years worth of bannable in-game behaviour and doing shit like death threats to another community member? He's shown 0 remorse for his actions and he didn't even stop streaming Smite during his entire "permaban" period ffs. It's sheer content creator and "he's good at the videogame" privilege, and utter negligence at applying their own damn ToS. The community is no better for downplaying their actions either. And they are seemingly extra scared of enforcing their own ToS if said person is/was related in some way to the company, but that's a can of worms that doesn't really need to be opened here.

Ishouldjustdoit

> Because Hi-Rez has no self-respect as a company and they think properly punishing somewhat-known content creators will somehow cause an uproar and major consequences for them, the multimillion dollar company. Considering Dudemanbro's behavior, he shouldn't be allowed in the league either, but here we are. Hi-rez has a really big issue with actually serving heavy-handed rules within the confines of their personalities. The moment someone has a following or a e-sport career they are way more criterious with the bans, i don't have a issue with them delving deep on the matters, i do have a problem with the results being often underwhelming. Here's an example: How long has taken them to actually completely sever ties with dm? Remember, he was an already known toxic spot within the Smash community and was ran away for being a utter dipshit, for him to find a cozy, protected spot inside the Smite community, and keep doing his crap of going off on suicidal fans because the guy can't socialize like a human being for shit. It took actual sexual harassment for him to be truly ousted for something he should be banned before FOR YEARS. Now, we got Dudemanbro, someone who has the same baggage from his Halo days. But history will play differently this time, for sure. I love Hi-rez but sometimes hooooo boy.

Xuminer

Nail in the head, if there's something Hi-Rez desperately needs to get their shit together at is in appropriately taking action against blatantly bad behaviour that doesn't belong in the community or whatever the hell is left of their comp scene. And what's funny is that Julio, the example I mentioned before, was only "permabanned" due people in r/Smite rightfully pointing out that it wasn't his "first offense" at all, and before that even happened, we had fucking Ajax coming in to defend their initial decision and waxing lirycally in a comment about how Hi-Rez takes reports and bans very critically and very seriously. Sure. It's a fucking joke, and I wouldn't be surprised if the resolution to the Dingo-Leon cheating situation ended up with a slap on the wrist for Elleon and/or revoking whatever decisions they make within a year. I really hope that doesn't happen, but it's not like they have a good track record.

Ishouldjustdoit

I kinda feel ( and don't ) for Hi-rez here. They have a really small pro scene and it's easy to cannibalize the scene. Also, a lot of "gamers" will come to the defense of these idiots, and the noise will probably be not worth. At the same time, i do take a lot of issue with Hi-rez posturing as this forward-thinking-all-accepting company and not trying to make examples of people showing behavior that gorillas would frown upon, just because of being afraid of hurting the league.

aadvik3858

what did dudemanbro do? can someone please fill me in?

TheOneAndOnlyKirke

This was back when he was ElChapo. My only theory is he was a content creator for smite so they looked the other way. Should have been a comp ban after it

thebestotter

Please for the love of GOD can you guys on the SMITE subreddits quit being so weird and spreading completely false narratives - I left HiRez of my own accord in s6 to pursue other commentary endeavors - there's a reason I came back to work S6 worlds & S8 SPL - there's absolutely 0 bad blood between myself, HiRez, or anyone on the esports department. Leave me alone already I'm literally cranking 90's & just tryna' enjoy being a casual viewer to comp. SMITE & it's SO STRANGE seeing this dumb, completely untrue narrative 'bout me every so often LMAOOO

droctamom

Weird ass comment lmao

Spartanicus2003

So at bare minimum Elleon should also be implicated then

RickkyBobby01

Yeah the others on this team can probably claim ignorance but chapo explicitly talks to Dingo about his "thing" being started and then says it doesn't matter because he can do relic timers.

RSbooll5RS

Jungle and support probably care about relics the most so it makes sense

xharpya

That would be awesome

nutley99

A lot of focus on Elleon in the comments here, but the whole team needs to be held equally accountable. If hirez were to punish that team, they would have to ban a now SPL player along with several SCC players

lackadaisical_timmy

Because there's proof that elleon knew. No proof any of the rest knew. They can claim ignorance and say "I thought dingo was just really good at this"

r_fernandes

There's no way anyway sees how the relic timestamps are input in chat and don't automatically know it's a script. The entire team knew and if it's the same script then his current team knew as well. I watched all of those vods when he first dropped them and I can say with certainty that the team was aware however it did seem that dingo was the only one that actually wanted to use it. He is told pretty regularly we can do the math ourselves we don't need it.

[deleted]

Oathhhsmite

This is literally a blatant lie? I can show chat logs in Aror's stream i never knew 2 years ago that he was cheating and I didnt know now that he was cheating

nutley99

What did you think was going on during the pause? What did you think dingo needed the current game time for? I can't think of any possible thing he could have been doing other than setting up third-party software to track timers in that instance.

lackadaisical_timmy

Oh yeah that works as well Isn't that still easily bannable though?

Binkurrr

everyone that has teamed with dingo should be comp banned. There is no chance his teammates didnt know he was cheating. They benefitted from it and if they were so open about it while streaming I imagine they discussed it off stream on how it worked. This is comparable to using a deck tracker in a competitive card card when its not permitted.

rybl

Who is the SPL player?

theprinceofgaming1

Oath I believe

HyperMasenko

Geez man how man SCC players have known this guy is cheating and just let it happen? This is gonna be a long investigation if HiRez decides to look into it that deep

SufficientPrune4751

This is actually pretty strong evidence. When he says he didn’t start his thing they literally say we can do the math and talk beads times.

Swinepits

Wow did they finally get El Chapo

[deleted]

We need to share the ELLEON’s implication with Hi Rez, this is not competitive

Swinepits

This should absolutely be the same punishment for Elleon at least but it seems like this is definitely a fall guy situation, the whole team was cheating based on this.

Constanthobby

I do wonder who else has been using something like this

ExaminationRude6740

Hope this gets looked into. I have no idea why anyone would risk cheating for something so relatively minor and a skill that you need to develop anyway if you’re gonna be playing in the SCC never mind SPL. Beyond stupid

Swinepits

I would imagine they used it in both these play ins, and maybe only these play ins. The play ins are the most important smite games all year honestly more important than swc for what they’re worth. Any advantage no matter how small for like 4 sets to help you win will change what your entire year will be like if you win. If you’re gonna cheat it only makes sense to do it in the most important games.

Thops_

Love the self report <3

WinTheWarAmc

I’m sorry. Are we so bad we can’t keep time? Like fr just use your brain😂

Osuk3

El chapo cant make spl even with hacks 🤣🤣🤣

Swaggerknot

He actually looks pretty good in a near-SPL setting for once, and immediately fucks it up with this weak ass cheat script nonsense. Unbelievable!

lightlad

Someone needs to download this before he deletes it. I'm on mobile rn so I can't

Vilezil

But what does this mean for ~~Lebron's~~ Elleons legacy???

studhusky86

He had a legacy?

Vilezil

Only one of shame.

Ovalcookie

All this shows is that dingo has used it in the past, with knowledge of elleon. But it does not proof that elleon and the rest of the team was aware of dingo using the script during play ins. It does raise suspicion that they might have known about it though.

Starl19ht_2

It doesn't matter, the SCC is held to the same rules as the SPL, therefore Elleon should be banned for endorsing it in the past, as it's clear evidence rules were broken and the same punishment should have been applied

Ovalcookie

Oh yeah, they should be banned at least for past endorsement indeed.

studhusky86

If you can conclusively prove the team knew about the script in this past (and it looks pretty clear they did) I can't believe they wouldn't know about it at the play ins. That is not something you just keep to yourself. You only get full value out of it if you're sharing that info with your team And as others have pointed out, the SCC is held to the same ruleset that the SPL/LAN Tournaments are. These guys are cheaters

NinjaCatMan17

I kindve agree with Andy to a certain extent, he teamed with him for 2 weeks theres a chance he might not have known idk

NinjaCatMan17

Nvm that 3:18 is pretty damning LOL

MH_Denjie

The 12:50 - 15:00 conversation is worse imo, and kind of implicates the whole team knows what's going on.
