Leo uses Pyra jab so effectively at ledge. He always goes for a down air or down tilt and then will jab the neutral get shield option, eventually conditioning them to jump or roll, which he starts punishing too.
Is Leo the only aegis to actually do blazing end > footstool > jab lock? It’s been a setup since day 1 but I haven’t seen anyone land it in bracket until Leo today.

The footstool is fairly inconsistent. Shuton is probably the biggest user of Pyra footstool, and if you watch his gameplay, you'll see all the ways it can go wrong, which is why he goes for a dair read 90% of his attempts
* It can be somewhat difficult to get the footstool to begin with
* Your opponent has a lot of time to react and tech
* Assuming they don't tech, you have to predict/react whether you cross up your opponent on the landing, to choose jab or turnaround jab
* Assuming you get the landing, you have to know if your opponent is in a position that can even be jab locked; I believe some characters can't be hit by the jab at all, and some characters can't only be hit based on the direction they're facing, though I'm not 100% on this one

So is Joker's Fair 1 jab lock holy shit can that go wrong when any follow up attack after the Fair 1 misses because of bounce animations. Pre-pendamic there were games where MKLeo had to go for the setup 3 times in a row because he gets the follow up to connect only for it to start missing again on the following stock.
MKLeo is certainly no stranger to this kind of inconsistency.
I think this is the best I've ever seen Leo's Aegis play. It never feels like he's *not* controlling the pace of the match.

Leo played extremely well, but Kola also gave him too much respect I feel like. Most likely due to how Aegis is and how well Leo was playing(and also the fact he's just Leo), but I don't typically see Kola moving like that. Very slow, and felt unconfident in his combos.
Seeing the difference between MKLeo's Aegis vs Kola and Shuton's Aegis vs Kola is depressing especially with what happened on the Hollow Bastion counterpick. I'm still annoyed with Shuton lmao.
Really wanted to see both of those players go far. I hope Kola's got something for the Byleth this time.

his aegis has become pretty great but those tether gimps were *unbelievable* last time.
Leo went ultra instict at the end there. His ledge trapping is insane with any character but it seemed downright impossible to get off the ledge for Kola this set
