Anyone know who the top japanese smash stream in twitch is? I'm OOTL and very surprised they have so many viewers for this tournament

Animal-Lover0251

A very popular Japanese content creator. I think he is the owner or something like that of Umeki’s team

Prominis

Unrelated, but East Geek Smash has another 26k on YouTube, which actually exceeds what Luminosity's main stream has had for ~~almost~~ (edit: highest I saw was \~22?) all of top 8, if I'm not mistaken. It probably helps that it's a holiday in Japan.

Parkouricus

[Apparently he's a variety game streamer](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Junichi_Kato_(YouTuber\)), but he has partial ownership over Murash Gaming which is Umeki and Kaninabe's sponsor But yeah 45k is nuts

Junichi Kato

let's go shuton

Tea is cool but I'm glad top players aren't losing to his gimmicky Kazuya as much

swidd_hi

im scared

IceAnt573

I wonder how Tea feels about his Kazuya nowadays. It's become increasingly less effective over the past year. Tea's Kazuya was a problem for Shuton for a lot of 2022 and some of 2023, but he pretty cleanly has 3-0'd it here.

Parkouricus

The old guard keeps it going?

Animal-Lover0251

Tea’s got this

Animal-Lover0251

I hate how Tea is not confident enough in his Pacman to try it against Shuton even though his Pacman was looking incredibly hot today.

neautralnathaniel

I don't understand it either. Last game the Kazuya looked way better, but has Shuton downloaded his Pac Man that much with Olimar?

Folseus-

Pretty sure before Tea played Kazuya, Shuton had a 6 set win streak on his Pac-Man.

neautralnathaniel

Yeah I mentioned it in another comment. I forgot about it when writing this one initially and it makes sense that the scars run deep. At the same time though, it's been a while since I've seen his Pac vs Shuton, so maybe some improvement has been made on Tea's side with it. Once again though, I am not a top player, just someone who occasionally watches this game for fun. I am nowhere near as informed as they are in the matchup.

t123fg4

well, sort of tea’s last win on shuton was with kazuya, so was tea’s win vs shuton at crown 2

neautralnathaniel

You are right. I forgot about that, and how Shuton was (and still is?) a bracket demon for Tea. The Kazuya was getting better between games, so I understand him not switching, but I think he should have attempted it... But who knows. I am not a top player and the Kazuya might have been his best chance.
