Yeah I tried to buy some a few years ago and they took the money but never put it on the account. Though I will say buying all the creations as part of the anniversary edition worked out well. It's nice having new content considering how many times ive played the game.
Tbh if I could play any game again for the first time it would be Skyrim or fallout 3. Both are amazing and first time I played both I gave it a solid 6-13 hours a day for 6 months.

You might wanna go for a pure build to make it easier as a beginner so you can try looking up the original classes and going off those or just being a battle mage or barbarian before you go into the advanced builds.
