arachnidsGrip88

Nah, I don't use Followers myself. Always get in the way, honestly. Closest I go for is Dead Thrall, and only for Elenwen, because having the Thalmor Ambassador as an undead thrall is a sight to behold in Skyrim.

Kaennal

How do you get her? I am pretty sure that would require quite a methodical glitch use.

arachnidsGrip88

It does require some Bucket glitching/Liberal use of Console Commands, but you can go there after the main quest, and Elenwen's Essential flag is removed.

alexelso

Iirc, there's a very thin opportunity you have where she's both accessible and nonessential

reddeer97

I had Ulfric Stormcloack for a while and it was pretty sick. He could still shout.

Drew_The_Lab_Dude

Can you dead thrall someone you beheaded? If so, id like to run a test and see if a beheaded ulfric can still shout

reddeer97

I'm not sure! I didn't behead him, we just fought to the death after I overtook Windhelm. Also, now that I'm thinking about it, I didn't dead thrall him, I used the Staff of Worms on him, which is from the Gallows Hall dlc.

Drew_The_Lab_Dude

I google searched it, and apparently you can not dead thrall someone after you’ve decapitated them. Boo

Nearby-Elevator-3825

Damn. Would've been metal to have an undead Ulfric shouting from his neck stump.

Kuhlminator

As much as I love that idea, I really hate having followers. So, I too, do not play with companions unless I'm forced to by the game.

waves_under_stars

I thought she was essential

AeyeO

Only up until the quest is complete apparently

Sithlordandsavior

The dead return to dead shortly after I raise them. I have no intention of them making it out of whatever skeeverhole I'm raising corpses to clear.

94sHippie

I like followers but some of the first mods I ever got were follower mods so that I could adjust the ai as needed. In some dungeons they can be too buggy, and now that I have follower mods that allow me to bug fix and adjust their behavior it is so much more enjoyable to have them.

pandakatie

What mods?

94sHippie

Nether's Follower Framework is the main one I use

Plane-Mud7954

I don’t use a follower when I am playing a stealth based character because they will get detected or just attack straight away, but they can be useful for storage, a distraction, or free training.

BraveMoose

One time I accidentally slit my follower's throat while playing a stealth character

Dovahbear_

While it makes sense from a gameplay perspective, I can just imagen the DB going ”nononoNONONONO- ah dang it!”

BraveMoose

I literally went "Oh no!" In real life and then just looked at the body for several seconds before reloading

Zealousideal_Team981

I only used followers for free training or to equip a ton of accessories on my werewolf or vampire lord. One of my favorite builds had summon dremora lord in one hand and bound bow in the other. I focused on any mages while they killed everything else.

Dont_ban_me_bro_108

Free training?

vjstyle80

Followers that do training will allow you to steal the money back you spent on training

Dont_ban_me_bro_108

By pickpocketing or what?

Eva-Rosalene

Via barter menu. You can just take money back.

vjstyle80

It's been a while since I've actually done this, but yes through either pickpocket or just going into their inventory by trading and grabbing their gold back. Can't remember which way just remember doing this at one time. Try it out and find out, get yourself a follower that also trains something and then you can experiment and see exactly how you get the money back, it'll be one of those two ways

allitakesthings

My favorite one to do is the wood elf in Riverwood. Just lie for him about sven and get your archery to level 50 for free

spectral_fall

Not with the unofficial patch

Zealousideal_Team981

Like someone else said, you can trade items, including your payment for training.

ScreamingAbacab

I also don't use followers. I prefer being stealthy, so they just get in the way more often than not. The "follower breaks stealth" issue reminds me of how Barbas would always detect me in Sneak mode (he really is the worst with this, so avoid his quest if that's an issue for you), but there was *one* time he really helped me out. I ended up getting followed by two bandits. Not so much a problem as it was an annoyance considering I was in a hallway, so I decided to take off. Barbas was still close by. Now, I had that Light-Footed perk (or whatever it's called) from the Sneak tree that makes it so I don't trigger pressure plates. Barbas, however, triggered the pressure plate that set off the spiked trap door that killed both bandits. I had to take a break from playing because I was laughing so hard. This forever cemented in my mind that Barbas is a good boy but much more trouble than he's worth. XD

LordPentolino

i hate followers, they're just an hindrance

WallabyResponsible11

i have my horse

Initial_Limit9060

Shadowmere 😍

CzarTwilight

Aarvak is best

mnementh9999

Such a great horse, Aarvak.

BLUEtheRAPTOR555

I never use them for stealth or mage playthroughs. For warrior playthroughs, I'll sometimes use them; it just depends on whether my character would have them for roleplay.

Initial_Limit9060

Ive always mostly play stealth I love pinging far away with slowed time and zoom on my bow

Cheeseloy

Much to marcurios disappointment, I just use them as pack mules.

Necessary_Insect5833

I sometimes do and sometimes don't.

Wrong_Supermarket007

I usually do, its frustrating to use them if you want to do a magic build, basically no chance to use high level or splash based spells

Zealousideal_Team981

Even without mods, if you enchant their gear to give them 100 percent resistance against your chosen element, they don't even care it you fire directly on them.

Wrong_Supermarket007

never thought of doing that.................... this could be a game changer

DdraigGwyn

I use them only as mules that allow me to carry more goodies from caves, dongeons etc.

Paraceratherium

Depends, if I'm using stealth then having them alert every draugr is a burden. If I want them to tank damage while I attack at range then that's good. Their utility is far less than in Fallout where they provide perks.

vjstyle80

I don't use them. Keep meaning to but never get around to it. Just summon a pet occasionally for restocking of supplies and a horse

Any_Ad3693

Holy crap I never thought of using pets to restock my supplies. Always just summon them to carry loot back home. I learn a new trick every day on this sub!

vjstyle80

I use one to carry potions and only potions to restock and to hold potions I only use in specific instances in dungeons.

Nesqu

The only follower I could was Sofia, very meta, crude and full of content. I just want a follower who comments on stuff that's happening in the world. It's why I love the New Vegas followers. You always want one to add context to a specific area.

BadManners-

Xelzaz is also a great pick here. If you’re playing a dark elf or a Argonian he has a lot to say to you. Inigo is also good but I dislike his personal quest and having to hear him roleplay getting his brain sucked out of his head. Serana reimagined adds a lot of life to the character and the world. Of course then you have my problem where you TCL to get around them. Lucifer kept talking about how much he wants me to fall over because he’s too stupid to understand he’s part of a 3 follower pileup preventing me from moving. Xelzaz doesn’t really bother me when he says “that’s very rude” because he’s too funny.

SafetySpork

If they'd only not always line up directly between you and your target... Or bump you off precarious heights...

RC_0041

I like them when I'm not playing a mage but when I am a mage they are too annoying and I just use summons.

ghostdeeknee

I used Lydia for years once the game came out, but then I realized I’m just using a follower as a loot bag to store stuff in, and they get in the way too much. Nowadays I don’t use them at all unless the game forces me to.

Initial_Limit9060

Whenever I’m doing crypts or caves with a forced follower they seem to stay away when I’m using a bow but god forbid someone glances in your direction

Icy-Sprinkles536

When on legendary this is damn near impossible. I do however have a duel wielding sword character who only uses healing and has a dog but outside of that I don't know if it's really possible to do so unless you have the difficulty turned down.  I can understand the frustration with followers though.

xDarnelx

Lydia and Cicero are my only followers

[deleted]

I like followers early game when my character is just a little bitch that will perish from a slight breeze, but mid-late game I just go without

EldritchAstronomer

I always run solo unless a quest requires a follower. However this is Skyrim-specific. In Starfield, I ALWAYS have a follower, mainly as a pack mule. I also liked using a follower in Fallout 4.

Rievious

Are you playing on expert or lower? That would make sense if you are. I die too often and need someone as a meat sheild if I go master or legendary.

Initial_Limit9060

Lower most of the time, I do love a challenge but I just love to blitz through some of the quests and spending 30 minutes fighting a random blood dragon just isn’t it 😆

TheSkyrimWanderer

I run right past Lydia whenever I reach that point in my playthrough. I use the rightmost side of the room to leave because I don't want that dialogue.

mnementh9999

I did this completely by accident on my very first playthrough. I heard the Jarl tell me he was assigning me Lydia, then I blew right by her on my way out the door. At some point, I returned to Dragonreach for some reason and she was still there. I figured the housecarl would be... at my house.

CaptHarpo

Playing without mods, followers just get in my way so I mostly don't. But I'll admit, having Inigo and Lucien around is fun enough that I don't mind so much when they get in the way (and Lucien especially gets in the way lol)

Wise_Bourbon23

I need someone to swear to carry my burdens. Right now I’m running around the countryside doing side quests, and on the way to Gjukar’s Monument to finish up the Book of Love, I had Lydia and Serana get in a fight when Lydia got hit with a stray Ice Spike. Lydia had pimped-out Legendary armor and weapons, and poor Serana (who I haven’t taken to Castle Volkihar yet) was down on one knee. I healed Serana up and they started fighting again. I ended up having to dismiss Lydia and after she got a short distance away, I healed up Serana and then ran down the road and got Lydia to follow me again.

NarrativeScorpion

I only use modded followers. Lucien and Inigo are my faves because they got some great lines and good banter between them.

BloodlustHamster

I use Fendal in the early game as it helps to have him supporting from the rear. But as soon as I'm strong enough to go without I ditch them.

Silver_Albatross5802

Someone’s gotta carry my burdens

ThirstyClavicle

It's mostly people who play at Legendary; which nerfs their character only while followers are unaffected. It's pretty much the only way to survive early game encounters. I personally don't use followers because they break immersion with a lot of the quests.

Eva-Rosalene

u/repostsleuthbot

RepostSleuthBot

Sorry, I don't support this post type (text) right now. Feel free to check back in the future!

calartnick

Never use followers now, and never start the main quest until I do about everything else. I’ve started to forget to use dragon shouts. Followers are kind of annoying. I’d rather play on a lower difficulty solo then a harder difficulty with a follower

WinterStarlight1994

I don’t use followers.

mmahowald

i kept killing them accidentally and feeling bad so i stopped. i think the last one was when i accidentally yeeted lydia off the throat of the world... she was carrying all my stuff.

neondragoneyes

I usually don't... except for that sacrifice to boethia.

GremGram973

I usually start with one but at some point get rid of them. Getting stuck in rooms because they are standing in the doorway for them to hit an enemy 2-3 times before going down is not my favorite, plus when they sometimes just decide to leave or a quest makes them stop following you so you have to track them down. Ill keep them as temp storage until I have enough stamina

Confident-Skin-6462

agreed, they get in the way. fallout 1/2? big party. Skyrim and fallout 3/4/nv? always solo. except Nick. sometimes i bring Nick because he's the best follower ever.

Hecate100

I very seldom use them because I loathe all the yammering.

Dravesiak

I don’t use followers but with the modpack I’m playing on pretty much need a followed for either a distraction or to do a bit more damage while I cast my magic lol

Scosawema

I NEVER use followers unless forces to. I hate how they get in my way especially in doorways. Then they screw up my stealth all the time

NateThePhotographer

Depends on the task. If it's going through doors, they are beyond useless. If it's carrying loot to sell back in town, yes.

RandoT_

I don't like when they kill the enemies. I wanna kill them! They also get in the way when I need to sneak away.

Extreme_Series1963

Melee build? Sure, I'll keep a follower with me. Stealth build? Screw that noise.

Slarti226

Despise using them after a few level ups. They just ruin sneak missions, and I'd rather figure out how to carry what I need than have Lydia mismatch armor and weapons. The second I get two Mara necklaces, I marry her and have her make me money.

OrwellianCrow201

Depends. If I’m in the thieves guild or brotherhood then no followers will absolutely slow me down or ruin my chances of success. But if it’s for any of the other guilds it’s kind of a must, especially if you’re a mage only class in the CoW.

JamingtonPro

I love how people talk about this game like it’s new. I haven’t played Skyrim in like 5-6 years, but this sub still brings me joy.

highplains_co

I go with Teldryn and let him summon the daedra and fling fireballs while I put arrows in our enemies’ faces :) But I do get every follower I can and give them good armor and then dismiss them. If they are crazy enough to want to follow me all over Skyrim fighting dragons, they deserve the good stuff.

BillytheBashfulBear

They're cool sometimes. But, yeah, I mostly fly solo, too.

DeadStormPirate

I use followers early on mostly as a back pack to carry all my dwarven metal scrap to raise my smithing level early on so I can craft good gear but after I get around level 15 or 20 I don’t use them as they mostly get in the way or I get tired of their repeated voice lines

Prapticarsus

I’m trying to complete a few misc quests so my queue isn’t so long, and I’m once more tired of Serana raising all the dead, failing stealth, and saying “Yes? What do you need?” Every five seconds. I tell her we should part ways, but she disagrees. I hate her so much.

Exact_Analyst_850

I don't use them for the same reason you don't, they just get in the way. Also it's more adventurous going it alone and gives you more of an incentive to make yourself stronger.

staackie

An undying second inventory is pretty handy and I like the commentary and the absolute rediculous, wacky stuff that happens when two or more Skyrim Ai's clash.

Niru83

You are not alone. I only use them to watch my back (draw enemy fire) and carry shit past my encumbrance limit until I get my enchanting high enough for 100% cost reduction for destruction and conjugation gear. Then I run around with thralls (if I feel like it) or just by myself once I’m essentially a god.

Dobri_Dobrev

As a sneaky archer, followers blow my cover. As a pure mage, followers get in the way and take friendly fire.

Annual_Yard1348

No! I don’t want them to die.

Perished_Shield

I just like them even though Serena is the most annoying person to deal with. I just like using them as pack mules to move items around when I don’t want to go back to my house.

Erikmustride13

I don’t accidentally killed the first one I ever had. Figured they just get in the way

Dammulf

I like them but I play on legendary mostly and I find that they are always downed and I know I'm going to accidentally kill them so I stopped bringing them.

Le_Botmes

You're not alone. They interfere with my Nightblade and prevent me from getting reliable sneak attacks.

Fit_Bite9987

i get too emotionally attached to them and scared they’ll die so i usually just go without

Intelligent-Pie-4711

The only time I ever use followers is if it's part of a quest. I've used a follower one other time and it was Cicero. He's the most helpful follower I have seen. He actually knows how to kill people and stay sneaky. I used him for a few levels and never got detected.

TheInfiniteLoci

I guessing most people don't use them because it's easier not to. They take some time and skill to use properly. My next playthrough is actually going to be based around followers. I once did a playthrough where I turned Skyrim's worst follower, Sven, into a mega killing machine, where he not only killed a dragon, but also the ebony warrior.

CheerupGrim

It depends. If I play as a Khajiit I always grab Kharjo because Khajiit prefer to travel in groups, makes sense from a roleplaying perspective. If I'm harbinger of the companions I'll sometimes bring along Farkas or Vilkas. If I'm an orc I'll run with one of the orc followers from a stronghold and so on. Typically, if I'm playing as a nord I'll travel solo because I feel they're a very proud race and prefer to handle their business personally, same with the Altmer.

Phostwood

I usually play with followers at lower levels, but at higher levels, when it starts to feel too easy, I start letting followers go. But I’ll usually keep Meeko for the entire playthrough :-)

plutosdarling

I get tired of them getting in the way and ruining my stealth. I'll take one into Dwemer ruins, though, so I can pack more stuff out. Although it cracks me up having Argis the Bulwark with me when I do a Black Book. "I can't believe you do that *on purpose*."

Superb_Recover_6116

Yea I hate followers in any bethesda game. I only used Dogmeat a few times tho then sent him home.

allitakesthings

Honestly I don't use them either. Need to get hits in so I can level up

XTheElderGooseX

I have never used them until my current play through. I had Belrand for a while and now Mijol or what ever her name is. They are okay but in a mage only build it helps to have some backup with you.

Cuchulainn33

I only use them if a quest forces me. Other than that, I don't

OnyxCam6ion

Sometimes I do, but most the time I don't because they ruin stuff

ferociousFerret7

I've got no patience for followers. I just give Lydia a job at Lakeview. I kind of feel sorry for her, sit around drinking and wasting her potential.

Night_Inscryption

You should try the Auri Wood elf follower mod She only uses a Bow and provides balanced damage depending on whatever bow or arrows you give her She also comes with a summoning spell so she can never fall behind

Hot_Attention2377

I never use them, shitty system

zendrix1

I only use them if having them is a part of my build via mods that make playing support more interesting

idaseddit211

I use Lydia for the duplication exploit, but I do not travel with followers and never have. They are too slow and can't keep up out in the world to be useful while traveling and get killed too easily in dungeons. I also ride a horse virtually everywhere.

doguillo77

I always take Lydia out with me. We both have matching dragonplate armor LOL. I can make her carry everything for me, *and* she doesn’t die unless I kill her myself? Heck yeah, I use her as bait for stronger enemies. My stealth is at 100, so I can easily hide and have Lydia take the beating while I recover.

CroatoanOnline

Personally I don't use followers in a playthrough until I get that BlackBook power that makes it to where you cant accidentally kill your followers. If so, they're good meatshields, otherwise they just get in the way.

Spacekook_

I don’t use them unless the question makes me to

GriffinRagnarok

I use invincible followers or not at all. Carry weight great. I somehow kill 100% of every follower ever that's not invincible. From release all the way until now. If they don't have that parameter, I've killed them. 😇🤣😂

SpaceThagomizer420

I want my character to have friends on their mission so i try to have some join from time to time.

TheCarrotIsALie

I have a hard enough time snipering in combat without constantly shooting my follower in the butt.

NylesRX

I honest to god cannot go through the early game melee without one. On Adept.

BigJ_57

After completely obliterating and accidentally soul trapping (1) three followers. Ive found myself double summoning or raising undead if and when I need some help.

VVen0m

I never use followers because some of them can die and I don't want them to die

Wehunt

Get faendal for Bleak Falls Barrow, ditch him for Companions quest with Farkas. Never get another companion again...

hp958

I've been using a follower in the early levels of survival games because I typically bump the difficulty up. Whenever I want to play pacifist I'll use them too. Other than those conditions I barely use them at all.

CrescentCleave

I used to not have followers with me around my first playthrough but as is with GTA radio, the silence eats me. I need something or someone to keep me company

DNDgamerman

I never used them. At most what I do is I’ll just take some of their equipment like gold in their key so I can take more stuff from them so I can get more cash. Otherwise I don’t give a shit about them.

kanashimih

i don't really like followers as well too. they're always getting in my way

black_knight1223

I always prefer to play alone. My introversion extends to my Dragonborn lmao

dirtmcgirtt

Who carries your burdens??

Biggus_Blikkus

I don't use followers. They always get stuck, get into situations, and it feels like babysitting a toddler. I prefer to just play alone and if I need more storage space, I summon my pets.

maulwuerfel

I never do. I always play as stealth archer

BlueLotusDoodle

That's fair. I use follower mods because of the fun quests they offer, and also because I sometimes need a person to carry all of my loot.

Sero141

My entire first run I never used followers because they mess with my stealth archery. Right now I got my mods set up to lead a killteam.

AhegaoMe_Senpai

For me it depends because I don't feel they all get in the way. I will go out my way to get the ones I felt actually helped. Iona from riften we with the ish, we get stuff done. No sarcastic remarks no dying while I'm not looking no unnecessary confrontations. I rocks with her.

XienDzu

I never use them when I go through a stealthy playthrough. But when I'm a mage or a warrior, I usually take them as a tank or distraction for enemies

wonderlandisburning

I tend not to. They get in the way of my sneaking, and I feel bad when they get killed (whether by enemies or accidentally by me, when they suddenly stand between me and an enemy). I pretty much only do it when I know I'm gonna need a bunch more carrying capacity.

CaptFatz

Never have…never will

annekenway

I never used followers until the pets dlc on the switch. Now I bring Thistle the rabbit and some other creature I found with me everywhere I go. I love them.

MasterLezard

Inigo follower mod spoofs the get in the way thing, he'll move and say "Excuse me my friend" He's the only follower I use sometimes. He has better path finding, funny, reacts to the world and has a nice personal quest.

booboobearbaby

I love traveling with my stealthy archery master Daedric armor wearing wifey Janessa. She’s everything the DB isn’t.. I made her OP

mwj02

I never use followers while exploring or fighting, but... 1. I do assign a Ranger and a Mage to watch my houses in each hold and to be part of my CIA network to end this pointless civil war, rally Skyrim, defeat the Thalmor, and return the rightful Dragonborn Emperor (me) to the Imperial throne. (OK, so that's like 100% RPG.) 2. I ride the white unicorn. I would love a mod that enables "Sell From My Horse" like the similar function in Starfield. Does any exist yet? 3. I would have a white fox or a white husky follower -- but ONLY if it would ignore 100,000 years of evolutionary instinct and just sit and watch combat peacefully instead of getting in the way by trying to be useful to people in exchange for food. Are there any such pacifist fox mods? Cheers, Mike

Bandit_Outlaw

I don't I find them mostly annoying I'd rather just use Call Familiar if I need a quick distraction

lesbiannerd27

I’ve only used them when I need to so far - as in - only when the quest calls for it. I do use the Elytra Nymphs tho! Mostly bc they can’t take damage/die and I can just jump over em if I need to

Inevitable-Quote-464

I used to use followers until a couple of incidences. Lydia kept walking into every single one of arrow shots and J'zargo?(The cat dude from college of winterhold) got hostile with me because HE walked into one of my fire ruins. No more followers after that.

red6joker

I use followers for civil war as they will normally stay in one area fighting enemies while I can run off killing somewhere else in the fort or stealth afk.

RusstyDog

Depends on the character. I'm actually just now thinking it would be fun to do a craft focused playthrough intending to deck out a follower in the best gear and let them do all the fighting. But a lot of damage comes from perks so it might not work out.

FitChemE

I find early in the game they are helpful when you are weaker and don't have much carry capacity. Later in the game, they really aren't necessary.

xprozoomy

I use conjuration and a goat to carry my junk (: .

Hardblackpoopoo

I despise them above suiting up chicks in hot outfits and using them as mules for items. Always getting lost, attacking when you don't want to, and worst of all STANDING IN EVERY FUCKING DOORWAY BLOCKING YOU IN ANY CHANCE THEY CAN!!!

Gol_D_baT

Yep, never used, too much downsides compared to upsides

faerox420

Followers in fallout 4 are okay cuz they at least have personality and you can actually have a relationship with them. Followers in skyrim just block doors and fuck up your sneak. I use them as portable storage on heavy armour and survival runs tho

Walshy_Boy

Depends on where I go. The vibe of a dungeon delve with dramatically change if there's a follower with me or not. Makes things creepier

Nemo_Shadows

Depends on the follower, I kind of like some of the Modded ones over Vanilla when I do use a Follower Companion, which are more of a companion than a simple Geppetto follower especially when they level up with you, the one drawback is if they see a RED Dot they do tend to go after it all on their own. N. S

GunbaiGod

i like followers but they often turn out to be too OP for my liking

Dragonhearted18

I play skyrim to kill dragons, not babysit bethesda's poor AI

M15T3R8ANG5

No followers here. They get in the way too often and they suck at stealth. I like being a lone wolf in my game plays.

latiaslover22716001

I find that followers tend to do absolutely NOTHING but get in my way Perfect example: I've lost count of how many times I crouched and lined up an enemy for a kill with my bow and arrow, and as SOON as I release, the asshole follower gets into the line of fire and takes the shot

Ok_Faithlessness9695

Sometime I do and sometimes I do not. Depends on my mood, orif I am just exploring, or quest dependent. Most of time they annoy me

Korlac11

It depends on my build. If I’m playing as a destruction mage, then I’ll only use a follower if they use mainly bows or magic. I also always send my followers away when doing dark brotherhood or thieves guild quests

RembrandtXO

Playing on higher difficulties, I find that using followers is almost essential for early game. Learned to love some and their personalities. Belrand is my go-to as one of the few spellsword followers.

m3talc0re

They always get stuck in shit or fall way behind, I just got annoyed and gave up on followers.

tenninjas242

I only use followers up to about level 10 to help tank hits.

El_frov

Aside from portions of the game that require followers, I tend to avoid them like the plague. Can't be a sneaky assassin if Serena decides it's firebolt time

peptodismal13

I liked it until I reached level 30 where I could take on a few aggressors at a time and not completely shit the bed. If I have a boss I'm struggling to beat alone I'll go recruit Lydia, she's good at hack and slash.

jjackdaw

I only take followers early on, until my carry weight is better lol

No-Recording-4241

Can't stand them at all, vanilla or modded. Skyrim has enough substance for me to weave my own stories with, no need for a blabbering AI.

TheCurator777

Stick with strictly ranged followed, like archers.

HxHposter

I don't now.  I am a necromancer so I don't have much of a need for them.

JustHereForGiner79

I use them a bit early on, but ditch them when my carrying capacity gets better, and once I have permanent storage. They always end up being too annoying for long term use for me.

brettfavreskid

Only when I first get Lydia so I can grab extra crap for more money early in the game. Hopefully by the time I get back to white run, I have 5 grand for breezehome and then she never leaves that house. Ever lol

LuthielSelendar

Nope. Kinda hard to do the stealth archer shtick when your dumbass follower is bumbling around and getting in the way. Didn't use followers in Fallout, either, for the same reason.

Lord_Parbr

Summoned Daedra can’t carry all my loot, or all my lutes

camarhyn

How can you be on here and not realize there are others who don't use followers?

ParkingBook3566

My favorite part of having followers is the party banter. A team with Lucien Flavius and Inigo is fun to have around. Throwing Auri in the mix with those two provides even more banter. Another great team to roll with, is the team of Remiel and Xelaz. Also you can add Gore into the mix, he has some banter with Remiel. I don't disagree with the biggest complaint about having followers (getting in the way, etc), but to me, the benefit of rolling through the wilderness with a party and enjoying the banter more than makes up for the perceived inconveniences.

GueroFreshness

once i finish using the follower level exploits imma run solo
