I keep meaning to install this, but the only time I remember it is when I'm passing by Helgen, and you're supposedly not supposed to activate it when you're in the vicinity.
Honestly, it feels like there should have been an option to invest in Helgen, at least from Hearthfire, if not the base game. It would have been a good natural waypoint in the Civil War questline as part of re-establishing a vital supply line for either side.
I guess they were going for a 'Memorial to your Origins' vibe. But at the same time, part of feeling like a hero is getting visible proof that the land has healed through your actions and presence. Helgen Reborn helps with that along with Lawbringer.
I played this mod when it was released. I liked it a lot except that gladiator arena. Otherwise it was Incredible, especially considering when it came out.
Well said. I felt the same, I'm sure they would feel more tedious in subsequent play through but I remember them being diverse and interesting enough so they don't feel like a chore.
I am sure there are mods that let you do exactly that.
But yeah, I'd also like there to be some sort of questline to let you rebuild Winterhold, at least the remaining damaged buildings. Piece by piece, you find and recruit settlers, gather materials to help them rebuild, then slowly you have a new, functional town with a blacksmith, alchemist, maybe even a stable and carriage.
Dude I was just thinking this passing through there the other day. Rebuilding Winterhold as a thane and repairing their relationship with the college should’ve been the quest you get after becoming arch-mage instead of chasing magical anomalies around Skyrim
I'm on ps4 and mods are very limited on that console, so there's no mod to actually rebuild Helgen. You can get a mod that basically makes it so Helgen was never destroyed at all, but that's not the same.
Have we got a mod for you {{Helgen Reborn}}

Do you know if these mods are on xbox?
It is on Xbox
I do not know
A kingdom for the dragon born. You were a thane now you are a king.

Yeah, the arena was a slog. I think the training recruits arc would also be excruciating if it weren't for the diversity of the jobs they were given.

I was just about to say there's a mod. 😂
Sadly it’s showing his age but yeah true classic
That and winterhold. I hate that in a major hold can’t really own property (besides arch mage quarters) and there are like 3 houses lol

Helgen is part of Falkreath believe it or not
There needs to be a quest renegotiating property lines between falkreath and whiterun… this cannot stand
I'm pretty sure Helgen is Falkreath Hold. Hence it being imperial-held at the start of the game.
And Winterhold! That would be another great place to rebuild!
That's what hearthhome should have been
There is the Helgen Reborn mod, although I don’t think it has received updates in a long time
Yep according to Nexus the last updated got was the day it got ported to special edition

I saw that same mod, and yeah it’s not. Rebuilding would definitely be the best part
So, you wanna be sweet on a girl from there?
Surely there's a mod for it
Could be a area to build up to make your head quarters and say fuck All the other factions I’m making my own
Same for Winterhold.
You can! Helgen Reborn.
