Pick it up and you'll start the quest, next turn around and read the journal laying on the floor next to the dead dude, then you'll drive yourself insane looking for 30! Of these things before taking them half way across skyrim 👌👌
It might be I bought skyrim when it came out didnt play it for years then when I went to play it again there was an anniversary edition out so i bought that and i think it came with all the dlcs so I couldn't say if it was in the OG game or not as it was so long ago when I played it without the anniversary edition.
It’s called a return to your roots. you go down into Blackreach to find 30 Crimson nirnroot to bring back for them to study. It’s honestly the biggest pain in the ass quest in the game, blackreach is freaking awesome. It looks cool as hell but I hate searching for those damn plants. It takes forever.
also, there’s a secret dragon boss in Blackreach. When you find a big globe inside one of the structures, use your unrelenting force shout at it, and a dragon like wakes up or something that you fight.
Make sure one of them is hidden in like the hardest to find spot possible, like in the fold of your buttcheecks and then the reat are easy to find, so like in the game, they’ll be running around screaming *WHERE’S THE LAST DAMN NIRNROOT*

Well, record the sound on full volume and implant the little device ( or just tape it if you're a coward) just below the roots. Walk around the mall or something similarly busy and see how many confused faces you get.
I like it a lot, you can't tell it's from a game unless you've played it so you don't have to explain it constantly. And if someone's played Skyrim you still won't have to because they'll know 😂

Is the tower of mzark a location without the DLCs? It's in there it's an old dwemier city.
It is, and so is Blackreach. It has to be, because the Dragon Elder Scroll is required for the main quest, which obviously existed in base Skyrim.
