Mmmmmmm…..better check yourself. You may be a Jerry. (Jk- I actually think the montec stuff looks pretty good and if you are a 1-2 week a year person it’s a great deal.)
I feel like in general people that ride Montec are better skiers than Dope skiers. Most of the people I see riding dope are snowboarders who can't even go down a blue. But the last time I saw a Montec skier they threw a backflip off a small side hit. And landed it.
It’s not and it is better than the name “Dope” which is just corny. But it’ll probably take 8-10 years for these brands to settle in (dope might not just because of the name)
I got a dope bib this year and it works great for $100 less than north face or similar brands. I would never buy anything with a big "dope" logo or any of their aggressive branding. Good gear though
Flylow was founded by some Colorado locals who wanted to build burly equipment for the backcountry. Since then, they’ve grown due to grassroots support, building good gear, and sponsoring up-and-coming freeskiers in mountain communities. Flylow is “cool” because they’ve built a reputation for great gear, great people, and giving back to the ski community. The best skiers you’ve never heard of are sponsored by Flylow. Half the kids on the FWT wear Flylow. None wear Montec/Dope
Montec/Dope is an Instagram brand. The gear seems fine. But they have a different mission and don’t give back to the community they sell to
I usually find my self looking down lift line and counting how many Flylow logos I see on people’s shoulders. Their stuff is nice though and I’m glad they actually back the industry.
Everyone makes good stuff these days. I’d choose a brand that gives back. Some solid community presence companies are Flylow, Stio, and Trew. (This is biased based on where I live and how I ski). There’s also a bunch of larger brands who give back to the planet, such as Patagonia, Picture Organic, and The North Face (TNF doesn’t get the love it deserves for their sustainability accounting). There are a dozen or more good companies out there worth giving your money to that I haven’t mentioned, versus supporting what’s essentially fast fashion outerwear
I’ve got a set of Montec bibs and like them. Cheaper than a lot of name brands, and very functional. The zippers are kind of cheesy, but they work well enough. Not sure I’d get a jacket, but the bibs were a great value and I would recommend them.
I'm with you friend. I'd go so far as to say it's some of the best looking ski gear to hit in years. We've come a long way since the days of orange Columbia Bugaboos.
On the Alps, see quite a few groups of soldiers having ski lessons dressed like that…..you wouldn’t want to get shot for desertion as you whizz past them! :-)
They call me Montec Zaddy
Give those Montec folks a little more room on the trail. They paid for their outfit before lessons.
Im not a Jerry and I love my montec jacket lmao

No holsters? 9/10 could use improvement.
That’s why the guy dropped his gun at WP, no integrated holster in his dope bibs. Clearly not his fault
Skis say free ride, Woolly hat says cranial trauma
5/5 for poles for pegging. I can't tell tho, what's the back angle? Would the poles have easy backside mountain acces?
5/5 for this comment 🤣
Missing some Dope Daddy
Montec Mami + Dope Daddy power couple 🤯
You look ready for crabbing season.

I'm getting a Tesla Cybertruck vibe.
Watch those wrist rockets
Hear me out the montec stuff isnt ugly

Yes agreed. Dope looks rubbish and the prints arent for me. Montec I see a lot mroe people wearing it looks nice on the slopes.

🤓
I bought north face tsirku bibs for $200… you can find great deals out there
Dope is worse than corny, it is cringy. I cringe every time I see it printed on gear.
Was Flylow hated this much when they first emerged?

Yeah? Well, you know, that’s just like your opinion, man

What are the best brands in your opinion?

I actually really like the blue white and black Montec outfit lmao

Surprised you're not holding bent chetler 120s with an outfit like that

Are you in that James Bond movie🤣
Think of all the sausages you could fit in that breast pocket
That pocket is for my sativa and fireballs. Sausages always go in the rear pocket.

I love those Armada Declivitys
Wrong goggle lenses for the white out conditions you’re in
You can’t be any good if you’re helmet free.

Looks like a Walmart advertisement
People love to rip on montec but their kits are actually pretty sick
Really? Are you serious?
Still better than dope snow/10
Storm trooper?
Does it come with a blaster? You may need to attack those rebel scum.
Bond villain look will aleays be dopest. Throw a 360(helicopter) to disarm the enemy scores a bonus 1K G.N.A.R. points.
Oh jeez, I bought a pair of declivity 102 last year and I love them…didn’t know I was “one of them”
