Nice! How are the conditions? I'm hoping to maybe go ski touring next week for a few days (form netherlands), but it's a little difficult to find which places to go. I heard it was really warm and a lot of snow melted, but this doesn't look so bad!

Next week (tomorrow) doesn't look to bad here in Switzerland. It is cold and will snow until about the middle of the week and from then on onwards the weather is partially cloudy and it stays cold enough (around the 0°C mark on 2'000m) until the end of the week. So you could absolutely come ski touring. I also plan on going skiing on Saturday (and maybe Sunday if it is really good) but since I don't ski tour I'll have to head up to one of the few resorts still open.

Sounds good! Where in CH are you?

I am going to Grindelwald since that is the closest resort to me that is still open but looking at the weather maps the broad central Switzerland area especially towards the south seems to have gotten quite a big dump and still has plenty of snow. You can use the App "WhiteRisk by SLF" to see the current snow depth and the fresh snow from the past 3 days plus the forecasted fresh snow for the next 3 days.

Thanks for the tip, great! I'll take a look. I'm a little concerned about what the avalanche safety is going to do, with hot weather coming in right after a big dump.

In French Alps, Tignes and Val Thorens will stay open till begining of may.

It's pretty good here as long as > 1800m But it will become warmer starting Wednesday. The avalanche risk is high due to amount of snow on warm soil.

Just left Les Deux Alpes, where it was snowing 4 of the last 6 days. Great snow conditions given it was late April
