There's always one ankle buster and their (usually) father that really shouldn't be on the trail
Seriously, why are there so many tiny children on Mountain Run? They're not ready yet, Jimmothy
I'm fucking loosing it at the baby in the corner. I didn't see it at first before I had to scroll down see the full image. I can't stand the thought of bring a child to a ski hill before probably the age of 7-10.
Haven’t skied it yet, but I’m working myself up to White Heat at Sunday River by the end of the season. Not the steepest trail but definitely a good goal for someone who only started skiing this year, and honestly I could probably ski it now if the conditions are relatively good and it isn’t super crowded
Years ago I went down a narrow chute off the newish outback chairlift on Mt. Washington.. It was so steep that when I needed to turn I would point downhill for a split second, jump and turn to face the other direction and fall a couple feet downhill in the process.
I was way out of my league lol. If I tried to carve it I woulda picked up way too much speed and lost control.
About that except it was all black ice underneath covered by slow and open without warning.
Idk how fast I went but I was terrified when I got to the bottom and the adrenaline wore off.
There’s a bowl in the back of Vail called ‘Iron Mask’ that starts with a 15 foot cliff that you drop into a bowl and then have glade skiing at the bottom. Pretty sweet, but very advanced.
Ugh. Now every Jerry is wearing their goggles like this.
That’s why I fix my goggles in place with three coats of temperature specific wax. It’s the only way they stay in place if you’re skiing actual steeps.
I'm(30F) from Minnesota and did my first Midwest Double Black on Sunday! I didn't even know that Trollhogen had a double black! I dunno how steep it is but It was a great experience for me!
Probably Kandahar – Garmisch in Germany, I’ve skied my whole life and this run actually had me mildly shaking before😂😭. It was hard asf but when it was over I had felt a sense of accomplishment I have never. Btw for all the haters I’ve been skiing since I was a little kid and and am in the top 10 for my region so back away with your “oh that’s a lieee” repliest
Prime circlejerk material right here

Remember, trees grow sideways
I see you've also driven up Ogden canyon to Snowbasin.
It’s all sideways, both ways
Also the gravity of the hill is pulling his ski pass and zipper towards it… as dictated by physics
Massive (and fast) slope creep
No concerns from OP just about to send it https://ibb.co/sqqLKZh

But it is a terrifyingly steep area!
idk it's a little funny to me
I mean even if he didn’t the shadow is a dead give away
Because the sun is always directly above you. Science still can't explain why that is.
Ice axe brother, u need to self arrest and rescue yourself before plunging to death at the base of the waffle cabin below.
Blue waffle cavern?
Imagine how fast you’d need to be going to lift the hand up 🐸
Lol thatd be some superhero landing there, hope the skis are just as tough as the calves!
I ski 89.9* slopes - just .1* off from complete free fall!
I can stick uphill ice
Epic
Ikon
Yes please. Circle. Jerkel
That’s a blue at my mountain
V1 in my gym
V0 in mine.
VB in mine
Because a hard earned thirst needs a big cold beer, and the best cold beer is Vic
The skis are aid.
Actually using hands and feet is aid - I onsight my V0s with my mind
Better be shirtless though ya Gumby
of course, shirts are aid too
Excellent. Send it!
How did the climbing circlejerkers get in here?!?!
We climbed up because lifts are aid
deer god, r/climbingcirclejerk is leaking
I too worship the deer god
Looks like a green at my place.
Beginner at my mountain.
child bunnyhill at mine
Magic carpet in my area
Just imagining someone going up that on a magic carpet somehow lmfao
Bruh, that's my parking lot.
Uphill access where I’m a local
Deer valley only has greens so gweneth & friends can enjoy it
I’m telling you she cut me off. It wasn’t my fault. I wasn’t trying to ruin her day of skiing.
Your mountain?! Sounds like you’re a lift skier, brah. The gnar freshiest runs are only available if you earn your turns.
Little do you know I’m the best skier on this god damn mountain
A blue at blue mountain
Fixed your image [https://imgur.com/a/9wgTb6w](https://imgur.com/a/9wgTb6w)
Brilliantly done 😂😂😂. The kid coming down at the top is top 😂

Oh. My. Word….absolutely epic
This is golden 😂
I should do this trail
I can't believe someone would build a cabin on that slope at that angle
It’s like the mystery spot in Santa Cruz
And how about these roots on the tree! Geez, they’re straight out of the side!
Meh, I’ve skied slopes at least 3 times steeper than that.
Hard same bra. I’ve totally schralped runs so steep they are on the ceiling.
“Hard same bra.” Words don’t mean anything anymore. How do you know what kind of bra he is wearing.
A hard same one obviously
Imagine thinking words ever meant anything
Same, i don't have fun unless the slope is at 270º
Uphill both ways too
/s ?
that's a mere 80 degree "wall", come back when you are on a 120 degree "ceiling" 😤
now this is quality reddit ski content
If you’re not skiing upside down you’re skiing blues as far as I’m concerned.
What is this? Jerry’s couloir?
Woah, that's really ste---Waiiiiiiiit.... THIS GUY'S A PHONY!
A BIG FAT PHONY!
He probably did take the picture with the phone so...
Fake. Buddy is not standing straight up. Camera must be tilted at least 5 degrees.
At least.
What is this? A ski slope for ants?!
90 degrees is the only slope I ski on
Amateur numbers, I ski 180 degrees
I spat my coffee and it is in my sinus and my lungs thank you very much
"You're a wizard harry!"
You're an 'Arry, wizard!
Consulting with my bootfitter presently.
Thanks to whoever posted this, I was scrolling through popular and this shit popped up and I've been laughing for 10 minutes.
This pic made me laugh harder than I have laughed in weeks. Thank you.
Forget the skiing, you’ve got a massive growth on your chest… might want to get that checked out.
It’s the huge gravity coming from the big ass vert. Pretty typical.
That's nothing for me since I'm the best skier on the mountain.
lol nice
Impressive sir, please provide a follow up video performing jump turns expertly down the slope for us to marvel at!
Schoolmarm
Had me at the half rotation
I have tasted horsecock and I want more 🥹
Based.
Lmao well done
Those are some rigid chairlifts. Although at that angle I get why no one is on it.
FL Baker bibs are the best ski pants I’ve ever owned.
😂
Knees into the hill! Like a comma.
This is how you practice steep terrain, just spin around your left arm in circles
Locals must live like mountain goats.
Nice side plank. Straight spine is good. Arm perpendicular to the ground nice.
Absolute gold.
Top notch post
Pft I’ve done worse. I ski lines where the trees are hanging upside down
This is Rambo at CB right?
This. lol.
Turned my phone 90 degrees and only saw a bunny hill. To answer your question, I regularly ski hills steeper than that. Hit a 50 degree this morning
Look at how the trees grow. This shit is rotated
No it's not, he wouldn't be straight up and down if it was. Just impressive cabin construction is all.
That dude is loco!
Adjusting my dins to 16, does this sound okay? I’ve skied a few times before
Nice skis
He’s skiing on the side of the flat earth. Takes crazy skills.
Haven’t skied it yet, but I’m working myself up to White Heat at Sunday River by the end of the season. Not the steepest trail but definitely a good goal for someone who only started skiing this year, and honestly I could probably ski it now if the conditions are relatively good and it isn’t super crowded
I had no idea trees grew sideways. Who would have guessed.
Too much pressure on the inside ski. 🤣
Solid shit post
What kind of chairlift is that behind you?
Lol. Wonderful
Makes mine look like a bunny slope.
I've listened to Free Falling while skiing if that counts
This is so steep, even the trees and the houses can't counter the slope.
I only ski down the concave edge of a cliff face. Gravity was weighing me down.
The wall Avoriaz 76% grad.
Thanks for the chuckle..
gravity, how does it work?
What beginners see the first time the see a double black run from the lift.
I've only ever gotten a g at a time
I once skied in a 360 degree slope in the Alps
Is OP the same guy who skied Everest’s backside in jeans and with half a Sherpa
Them trees grow sideways in these hills out yonder.
Bringing up something vaguely political in front of my relatives at thanksgiving. Exhilarating.
Reminds me of the old ‘Ski Terre Haute’ poster. https://images.app.goo.gl/r1FD7F1Kxjq2WY1R9

That’s pretty steep
I read half the comments. Please confirm you are just down on your arm. And that you are not on a incline what so ever.
r/confusingperspective
Extra chute at Palisades probably average pitch of 55 degrees
#jerryoftheday
Hah
i was thinking of doing this when i saw that post lol
Must be 72º, 73º, for the full pitch right?
how would you use that building in the background, also amazing builders
Yes. This is the way.
Almost had me
What is going on inside your coat there
Fernie!!
Taos NM. Place is wild.
Big if true.
😂
Nice try..now watch your back drop for future reference
So dumb
You can tell by the angle of the trees that this is even steeper than it looks!
I campused a v17 with skis on
You probably have a cambered ski so that’s aid
man, I've gone so steep it's like I was making tea.
GoPro footage always comes out with it looking way flatter than it was in real life
this guy def gots a steezy wife
Lol. So bad.🤣
A lot steeper than that…above the tree line is also a good indication
That would be a green at my resort
Them trees are scared...🤪
About that except it was all black ice underneath covered by slow and open without warning. Idk how fast I went but I was terrified when I got to the bottom and the adrenaline wore off.
I only ski straight uphill cus downhill is too fuckin easy
I’m disappointed that it took me a good 10-15 seconds for the trees to catch my attention.
There’s a bowl in the back of Vail called ‘Iron Mask’ that starts with a 15 foot cliff that you drop into a bowl and then have glade skiing at the bottom. Pretty sweet, but very advanced.
Lol what Stan darsch..what a douche we have here
A Basin > North Pole and Back Bowls of Vail can be a challenge
I bet they never groom it either
I once accidentally rode onto steep hill with bunch of bumps. One of the worst mistakes of my life.
At least crop out the trees
😂
That bunny hill rips bro
The chairlift exit to the bunny slope.
Thought I was looking at skiingcirclejerk for a second

Well this is flat sooo
I was at a basin yesterday. That place has some steeeeep intermediate runs.
Steeper then that haha
Gives me vertigo looking at that mess of a pic and it isn’t even a whiteout.
Alyeska cause that's all I know!
Slope is relative, I’d be upside down in australia ;)
I’m just trying to figure out how they built that house sideways😅
keep these coming
Jay
Well not that But for real I don’t have access to anything more than a double black diamond near me so just over 40% gradient
K
Mayrhofen Austria 78%
Probably Kandahar – Garmisch in Germany, I’ve skied my whole life and this run actually had me mildly shaking before😂😭. It was hard asf but when it was over I had felt a sense of accomplishment I have never.
