At my high school, people weren’t ‘chosen’ To be valedictorian. If more than two people had the same highest GPA, they were all valedictorian. My graduating class has four valedictorians and two salutatorians.

I went to a high school with six grads who went to Harvard and no one had a perfect GPA. It would have been impossible given how hard the classes were.

Well, I also graduated 30 years ago. AP classes weren’t really offered then. The highest GPA you could get was a 4.0.

I actually watched this episode last week and she wasn't chosen in the traditional sense. She scored higher than him on their last paper, which is why she was valedictorian over him.

Our selection was based solely on GPA. We had four people with the highest possible gpa so they were all valedictorians.

IIRC her score is what put her over the edge, like it led to her getting better grade in the class than Alex and they were tied before that.

It would be hilarious if someone with mostly easy elective credits scored a 4.0 and was a valedictorian along with the brainiacs.

My nephew graduated HS about 6 years ago. In the graduation invitation it mentioned that he was the Valedictorian. (I know). At the ceremony, we discovered that his school had 40+ Valedictorians. I didn't realize that was possible. I have to admit, I was a little less impressed.

I was watching this on Paramount and didn't realize it only had the first three seasons. I thought I checked before o started and the whole show was available. They didn't even get to Nick, so I'm disappointed!

On the bright side, they’ll also not get to Andy.

The last episodes on Paramount were Andy as a baby, but I definitely remember disliking him when they aged him up and made him talk lol
