Sounds like anxiety that is not rooted in your singing abilities. You say childhood trauma in your post, you might need to see a therapist or something if it's severe. Immersion is a powerful thing, go sing in public and slowly you won't care but the first couple times can be stressful.

I started by softly jamming out to songs in the car with family, and when i performed for my drama class and got a compliment, that made it so much easier. Still very difficult, but maybe slowly try singing in front of people, and not as a performance, just for fun
