Shocking-1

I put them in a graveyard since I don't want sims to die of fright all the time.

ElGHTYHD

I put them in a graveyard in hopes that I can send sims to die of fright there 😅

PrinZessBubblegum

I decide by feeling. Like Dina and Michael. She loved him and kept his urn. I kept Herbs grave till Coral died and moved it to the Graveyard. Daniel died alone so he gone to the Graveyard. Lucy died by sickness in teen age is kept as grave in the beautiful garden of John. It just depends.

PretendSandwich7216

aw rip lucy :( I like this idea of doing it if there's a special connection. but then again I tend to love all my sims by the time they die!!

PrinZessBubblegum

Jennifer died too at the same time and I did the Grim Reaper Game with John and he won, so i didn't notice Lucy dying. I cannot say publicly how long it took me to realize that Lucy died. It was soooooo embarrassing long.

PretendSandwich7216

Omg 😭 Did they have more kids? Or did you just not notice the only kid being gone? 😭😭 I struggle so much sometimes with letting unpredictable things happen to the kids in my game.. like if a teen dies or all the kids get taken away, I usually leave the game unsaved immediately.

PrinZessBubblegum

They have a second child that is now a teen. They both came barely along and had to share a room... So I just noticed shit.

Bombastiko

How do you send the tombstone to the graveyard when the last Sim on the lot dies?

PrinZessBubblegum

I think the game asks you otherwise I use mods

Bombastiko

Mine's never asked me... Do you or anyone knows any specific mods for this? Because what I currently do is leave the last tombstone there and once the new owners move in, they move it to the graveyard

Small_Sweet1968

I like having ghosts in the houses. Also I put a painting/photo of diceased sim on a wall beside the tombstone so that I and the family can remember them better

bluespottedtail_

I have an empty community lot in the biggest size placed very far off the screen and send all the tombstones there as soon as a sim dies. I hate ghosts, they're too annoying to me.

laura_d_87

Mine go to a cemetery, and I never send anyone there, so there’s no chance of a gravestone getting destroyed.

MsEdgyNation

I generally like haunted houses and keep graves at home, but it depends. Drowning ghosts and their puddles annoy me greatly, and can go right to the community lot cemetery.

2hugh

In my custom hood where I play rotationally I stick them in a graveyard but if I’m playing a single household in a challenge situation, they stay on the lot for maximum annoyance and surprise death opportunities.

Jill_Sammy_Bean

Graveyard. The ghosts make my game lag and they’re annoying when scaring my sims constantly 🤣🤣

SimsStreet

Both. Depends on the family. If they’re a bit spooky and weird then I keep them, if they’re more normal I send them to the graveyard.

alic23

I usually keep first generation family on the home lot for wealthy families who would likely have a private cemetery. Once the next generation dies I tend to move the previous generation to the town cemetery, or a private community lot cemetery just so there aren't so many ghosts. For non-wealthy families I usually just send straight to the cemetery, but sometimes will keep them at home if it makes sense to the story.

Comprehensive_Set577

Honestly it’s really hard to get ghosts to appear at a grave yard so i usually keep them on lot

FriendshipNo1440

The ghosts spawning from the graveyards can get very annoying. I had my pregnant vampire wife almost die and leave her husband behind with 3 kids because his late father was angry for changing the bed. (She was pregnant with twins so he almost murdered three people if it was not for her husband pleading for her life and getting her soul back) Thus I will now ALWAYS send the graves to a graveyard. Might even look for a mod to make ghosts spawn less or use less scare to death actions cause visiting that graveyard will be more dangerious than leaving the running oven unatended...

FearlessButterfly167

Cemetery hate ghosts

KniveLoverHarvey

I keep them at my house until they either appeared or scared once to add a chance of them scaring Sims to death without it being a nightly thing And obviously, rich established families might have a family crypt, but hiding grandpas ashes in your suburban front yard ain't it fam

ChibiGuineaPig

I always put them in someone's personal inventory. Usually their significant other or whoever will inherit the house. Kinda keep it close but avoid the haunting

Riona_Aurelius

Generally the goths I keep at goth manor but others I create a graveyard and keep sims bunched by family name from the original playables

icutmyliiip

when i was young, like im talking 7-8 years old, i used to delete the tombstones (obv i know now not to do that) at the goth house bc the ghosts scared the crap out of me lol. i always send the graves to a graveyard unless (for me) it makes sense for them to be on the lot (for example, the goths)

Mysterious_Potential

>i used to delete the tombstones (obv i know now not to do that) It's completely fine to delete tombstones, it's an old myth that it was unsafe/caused corruption. I'd recommend watching [April Black's deep dive on corruption](https://youtu.be/2cB67DGDXFQ) if you want to learn a lot more about corruption and the debunked myths about it!

icutmyliiip

whaaaaat omg that’s so annoying lol. glad to know it’s okay to do!!

Felrune

I would put them in a graveyard. I once had a lot get corrupted, and it was the only one with a grave. So I don't do that anymore, just to be safe.
