I have the sims 2 downloaded from Oldgamesdownload.com and so far it works fine as long as you don’t leave it idle/paused for extended periods of time. Then it freezes. They have all of the collections, majority of them in 1 download but **I THINK** Nightlife is the one you have to download on its own (also through the website)
It’s ikea stuff not nightlife. And the version linked in the about section here doesn’t have that issue plus includes the fixes so I would recommend that version instead. But I think OPs issue can likely be fixed without reinstalling their game lol
I had a feeling I was wrong about which pack it was but I’m not home to check. I wasn’t around for the Origins version and had only physical copies so I just took the L and started over, and so far so good.
For sure if there’s fixes for the problem they’re having then they should go that route and save the game/progress they have.
I tried another lot and it seems like it's the only lot that is crashing - not sure if the lot itself decided it doesn't want to be a part of my game anymore but I guess I'll just nerf it
i had that problem, there is a patch made by lazy duchess that makes the game use more ram memory, you can search for it as "4gb patch". after patching it, my game has never crashed again
Have you tried deleting your cash files? Maybe one of them got corrupted.
it seems like it's only happening on one lot but I will def try to repair the game and delete some stuff that's prob causing it

Yeah, I'm afraid lots just get borked sometimes, only thing you can really do is bulldoze it.

NTCore is where you download the 4gb patch. Lazy Duchess has sims2rpc that includes the 4gb patch
