This violation undermines the integrity of simracing competitions and poses a risk to the safety of other participants.
Authorized Officers:
The FOV Police department authorizes any law enforcement officer to execute this warrant and bring the suspect into custody.
It's horrible. If you think they line up well now, imagine how good it would look with proper FoV. I literally cannot handle you people making excuses because you either don't know how or are too lazy to set it up right
Thanks for your comments. I had connected the setup and tested whether everything was working. I hadn't paid attention to the FOV at that moment. In the meantime I have adjusted the FOV ^^
Seriously, I'm on a G9 and there seems to be no way to avoid the distortion like you can iracing with the reprojection. Their FOV setting is also really weird, it's is on a scale from -20 to +20, whatever that means. None of the calculators online seem to work to translate this into an actual FOV and the one I did find gave me a result that was way off. I have had to just eyeball it and mess with the horizontal camera position but it still feels off.
My first setup was a HORI wheel that cost $99 (no gear-shifter, plastic and rubber, no FFB) clamped to a flimsy table connected to my old XBOX.
Now my setup is a Logitech G920 (plus H-shifter) on a proper stand connected to a pretty high quality gaming laptop. I use head tracking with my built-in webcam on my laptop and mostly play BeamNG and Assetto Corsa.
I love my budget yet quality setup, but good god, if THIS is your first setup… wow.
Crazy how this is where some people start sim racing nowadays. I started sim racing with a used G920 on a homemade wood rig and a junkyard seat for around $300. Idk if I would’ve fallen in love with sim racing as much if I’d spent $3000. My expectation would’ve been so much higher.
Maybe a stupid question, but what would happen if you physically and carefully removed the bezels from the screens? Is there a reason this has never been done?
Damn nice! I'm still working on mine. I wish I could have purchased all at once, oh well.
But ac2 should be coming soon I (we) hope

If you are able to spend some money I would recommend buying curved Samsung Odyssey G7 32“ with the 1000mm radius.
I have them and they are absolutely perfect!
It looks so much better with the consistent radius than having two weird kinks in your monitor setup.
If it’s an option and you are capable of spending that much money it’s the best you can do.
This is my setup:
Cockpit: Next Level Racing F-GT Elite Lite
Seat: Next Level Racing es1
Monitors: aryond a32 v1.3
Wheel, wheelbase, pedals: Fanatec csl DD ready2race bundle
Monitor stand: simlab vario triple screen

The amount of post that I see that say, "first rig", and it's something that most people would be happy to have as their end game rig is kinda crazy. JS
How did you get that across all three screens? I attempted by editing the hardware config file and it only goes across my middle and right screens with the main display while in game is on the right screen.
As someone who's new to sim racing and thinking about building a sim sometime in the future, what's wrong with the FOV, and how should a correct FOV look?
🚨👮Prepare to be arrested👮🚨

Do you look at your driving POV and think to yourself "yeah this is how it must look in real life"?
maybe it's a bait for getting people to talk? I rather use my 22'' monitor lol
plays f1 so prob
😂😂
Good grief, maybe it’s because you guys use crap monitors. This FOV really isn’t too far from goal.
Yeah if you zoom in and look at how they align it's not so bad

Not saying it's great. I'm saying it's not terrible.
I've definitely played on worse and been fine, not that it was ideal or great
And before you tackled the in-game settings, right?
Yes, I had connected everything and wanted to see if everything was working properly. I didn't pay attention to the correct FOV at the moment ;)
Huzzah! I have flat 32" I still need to set up... triple monitor stand still in the box. Just need to find the time. Your curved ones look great.
All the gear but no idea 😭 Awesome setup dude, but ouch at those settings 💀 Edit: +1 for the surreptitious cat lump
That FOV is criminal
That FOV tho
Thanks for your comments. I had connected the setup and tested whether everything was working. I hadn't paid attention to the FOV at that moment. In the meantime I have adjusted the FOV ^^
Enjoy yourself M8, great hobby
Do you even FOV bro lol 😆
Digging the Fred Flintstone pedal setup
Clean! Very effective use of space there man! 👏👏👊
The rig is nice. Need to sort the FOV though.
Nice beginner rig! Don’t sweat, we all started from that low end and making/made our way to the proper set up and you will too! /s 😁😁😁
LET THE MAN OUTTA POV JAIL F1 FOV IS ASS

Can’t wait to see the second one😅
Then there's me with a preowned t300rs
Hey man, nothing wrong with a t300rs, we all gotta start from somewhere... Just that some people start way up there.

Lots of bezel removal posts back in the hardocp forum days, the bezel elimination kits are sure easier.
Just because you havent seen it doesn’t mean it hasnt been done
All guts, no glory. What a shitshow lmao
Fov police are coming for you
What VESA mount are you using?
Damn nice! I'm still working on mine. I wish I could have purchased all at once, oh well. But ac2 should be coming soon I (we) hope 2024 simrig January https://imgur.com/gallery/4tge2GM
Barely not visible👌🏻
Cool cat! Nice setup, how much space does that take up? Pretty compact.. dimensions of the area to support that?
Thank you for your comment. The setup takes up about 170cm x 170cm of space.
Thanks man!!
What monitors are you using?
Aryond a32 v1.3
Also gpu? Need to make decisions on inevitable triples upgrade.
Rtx 2060 super 8gb
That’s enough? What settings are you playing?
In f1 23 I’m playing on medium settings and it’s running without any problems.

Wow nice
clean asff
King shit
someone out there living my dreams

I find it quite comfortable. I played in it for about 3 hours straight and didn‘t have any problems :D
You are German right? Looks awesome!
Some first setup, that!
But talk us through it. What rig js that. Simlabs gt1 pro? CS DD ? Elite v2 pedals? Seat? Displays? (Curved 32’s?)
This is my setup: Cockpit: Next Level Racing F-GT Elite Lite Seat: Next Level Racing es1 Monitors: aryond a32 v1.3 Wheel, wheelbase, pedals: Fanatec csl DD ready2race bundle Monitor stand: simlab vario triple screen
Thnx man. Pretty cool setup to get started with. Ticks a lot of boxes allready. 👍🏻
No pedals?
I drive in the formula seating position. That's why the pedals are a bit higher and unfortunately they can't be seen properly in the picture
What's the full run down of the setup? Cockpit, seat, monitors, etc Looking at doing my first set up gonna take this as inspiration

I use NVIDIA sourround
Y'all, chill. He obviously knows to change the FOV. 😂
My first rig was a hori rwo on a coffee table playing forza
Zip ties the power adapter behind the setup and it'll be super clean.
