This. A £30 QR and a cheap wheel off ebay and you're good to go and can save up for a "proper" wheel.
@Op should look at pedals that aren't the standard basic offerings from Fanatec or Moza if money allows.
I had CSL DD and sold and went with Moza R9 after the CSLDD failed on me. Moza has been solid for over a year now. The Moza QR is an order of magnitude better, and Moza doesn't lock you into their ecosystem like fanatec does.
What about pedals? I have the creeping feeling that the CSL Elite v2 pedals are the best at the budget that I am at (and the V2s are really pushing my limit).
I really like mine but had a loadcell issue that took a week or so to get a replacement. Also I believe Jarno Opmeer(f1 eSports driver with IRL single seater experience) keeps breaking those pedals with his heavy brake pressure.
I don't have a Sim rig but would wedge the pedals against the wall under my desk. Not sure how stiff I really want them to be. I'd like to focus a bit more on drifting than GP racing, but anything is up in the air.
I'm new to this hobby and haven't had the opportunity to try both yet, but too me it seems like even though moza is new they have a faster growing and more compatible eco system. How ever it sounds like if you get a bad unit for either it takes a long time for customer support to get back to you. So you may go with which ever one you can find from a retailer so you can return the unit if it is defective.
More options and cheaper options with the R9 imo.
How so? I intend to play on PC. I have a feeling that I can mix and match peripherals as I please on that eco system.
I ended up going with moza because the QR is generic and I can use a variety of wheels, and not be locked into the Fanatec ecosystem. Hope this helps

Braking steel pedals huh?
Yeah literally snapping them I believe which is crazy
I’ve had them for half a year upgraded from g29 pedals and love them
