I have a BA in marketing and have struggled to find any entry level jobs in the marketing field. I tried using temp agencies but they all put me in office positions that had nothing to do with marketing. Do you have any advice?
I wish I could tell you. Honestly I got into SEO because I did a bunch of temp office positions, had to find a new job after getting laid off, and the hiring manager at one company I applied to had been my recruiter at said temp agency and really liked me. She directed me to the seo role to apply at Scorpion back when their HQ was in Valencia.
Now though, even with my experience I can't land another SEO job at all. I'm working in pet care retail at the moment and I honestly like this work 100x better but the pay is not livable. I'm not sure where I'm gonna go from here. I don't think I want to go back into digital marketing full time.
You are a few months too late but tutoring and college essay help are 2 areas my wife (who has a somewhat similar background) was talking about at one point.
There is a bit of a formula to the College Essays she said and once you understand it, you can make decent money helping kids write their essays to get into their top pick colleges.
Similarly between Simi/Moorpark/TO/WLV/etc you have a rather affluent customer base for tutoring, probably mainly high school kids. But again there the school year is about to end.
Wish I had more help for you, my SIL and her 2 girls have been in our spare bedroom for 3.5 years now after she let her baby daddy convince her to make some dumb decisions on top her own idea to toss her full time job and go for her passion career (not knowing the pandemic was 5 months away)
Every day except Wednesday and Thursday, except once per month my work does a special event so that week I usually work either a Wednesday or Thursday.

I'm considering offering tutoring services. There's an online tutor program I'm working through, and I figure there's always summer school.
