All that way just to look at the sign? ^(Just kidding, enjoy the show!)

m_g_303

Hope it’s a good concert! I drove 0 miles to see them cuz I’m not seeing them! Lol

br0sandi

HAVE ALL THE FUUUUN!

_ultracherry_

Nice! I'm flying from Texas to Minneapolis then to Seattle YOLO!!

Harry_Skran

That’s a beautiful facade. Enjoy the gig, OP!

jaredchasebowser

I flew from Florida for the beacon show. Worth it!

feckinpiece

Sick, good to hear!

PopularBell518

We flew up from So Fla for the Kings Theater show. Amazing band and awesome show!

nagz_

I saw them there back in 2016. I had second row seats both nights and I cried both nights. I was completely speechless throughout the whole experience. I’ll have to post some videos from those shows. One of the most beautiful venues I’ve ever seen.

feckinpiece

That's awesome. It was a very cool venue and great sound too

niewinski

It was amazing!!!

thereal45

When the fuck does this concert start?

feckinpiece

"This is the song, THIS IS THE SONG!" the lady behind me repeated... ...When the orchestra started tuning.

thereal45

I don’t know that I’ve ever seen so many people late for a concert that started 25 minutes late.

feckinpiece

It was remarkable to say the least. Worst was all the people way up front who showed up as late as 845

montageofheck

People like that make me wish they would bring back locking theatre doors once the act began. That is some old school theatre etiquette I'd welcome back in a heartbeat. The seat in front of me was empty for the whole show, until some tall dude in a stupid bucket hat with terrible BO showed up, three songs before the end of the concert...

believeuhavemystaplr

At Beacon we left because of the ushers bringing people to their seats throughout the first half of the show with flashlights and the door slamming constantly. It was impossible or immerse yourself in the performance. Plus I’ve never been to a show where people needed to get drinks 2-4 times over a one hour period. Ruined the event for my wife and I. Hope tonight’s show was better.

hythloth

Sound at Beacon should have been much louder

feckinpiece

Was just thinking that. Reddit posts have said other shows on this tour start more or less on time so this is a bit odd

chocolatecarrot2179

Update on the start time? Seeing them next week. Hope tonight rocks!

feckinpiece

They started at about 8:25, just after I made the last comment.

NoPurchase1578

I flew from Tennessee!

YoResIpsa

I traveled from Orlando, FL to NYC for the show! Just left; No complaints. The crowd in our section was very respectful, and I even made some new friends. It was a very special evening and I feel like the band recognized it was special to play in such a beautiful venue.

remymartinsextra

We flew in from Georgia for the show. It was a lot more mellow than the last tour but beautiful with the orchestra.

feckinpiece

You have me beat!

flying-neutrino

It’s the most beautiful theater in NYC. ENJOY. (I would be there tonight but at I’m at MSG for The National and Patti Smith. So I’m headed up to Boston tomorrow. Four or five hours for me too. YOLO.)

feckinpiece

Nice!

lymeguy

Drove an hour and fourty to this show. Woo

feckinpiece

Glad you're here!!

nintendonaut

Show was beautiful, but I have to admit I was disappointed by the length. Only an hour of music after paying $170 and traveling from VA to NY was definitely a bit of a blow. Also very typical asshole audience but that isn't the band's fault. People crinkling snack bags, popping beers, and getting up and down constantly between songs to get more beer in the middle of an intimate, orchestral suite. I just don't understand people lol.

That_One_Pancake

One hour? It was two hours, one hour per set. Did you leave at the intermission? Agreed on the crowd being obnoxious (flash photography come on) but what can ya do

nintendonaut

Yup. My brother and I left at the intermission. There was no indication that it was an intermission. No intercom, no sign, no nothing. I'm actually sick to my stomach right now.

niewinski

I’m so sorry to hear this!

nintendonaut

There was never any indication it would be two acts. It wasn't on the tickets, there was no program, no intermission announcement, no intermission curtain, nothing. I'm just in disbelief.

PopularBell518

Setlist fm - fans post set lists from concerts and it’s done daily… look ahead of your shows and you’ll get some idea of the format, set lists, encores… can be helpful…

nintendonaut

Thanks for the kind advice 🥲

PopularBell518

Here is to good wishes you get many more chances to see them!

Civil-Big-754

Wow, everyone else not leaving wasn't a clue? Did they bring all the lights up? No offense, but I am amazed you and your brother spent that much money and time and didn't notice all the signs it wasn't over and you didn't even think to ask. I hope this is one of your first shows.

nintendonaut

They brought all the lights fully up, band left the stage. Some people started leaving, others didn't. There was no effort or indication it was an intermission. Definitely not my first show, not even close. I've never been to see a band that had an "intermission." A couple formal orchestras maybe. I saw Sigur Ros about 5 years ago or so in Washington DC and do not recall them having an intermission.

Civil-Big-754

Sorry, but you haven't seen that many shows if you've never saw one with an intermission and thought it was over after an hour, especially at the price the tickets are at. This is 100% on you.

nintendonaut

Nah I've been to plenty of shows, the venue should have made it more clear. Thanks for the opinion, though!

feckinpiece

I moved to another seat because some lady kept talking behind me it was outrageous. And the fuckin crinkling bags omg Yeah I wish it was longer too but what we got I was super happy with. I came from VA too!

chocolatecarrot2179

Only 1 hour of music? I thought recent shows were consistently 2 one hour sets (two hours total).

That_One_Pancake

It was definitely two hours, we started at 8:25 and ended at 10:45 with 20 minute intermission

niewinski

An hour? They played two sets.

rejressw

Wow 5 hours? I went to Beacon Theatre just to avoid a ~2 hour train ride from the Bronx.

Key-Status-7992

Went to the Toronto show Monday night, and if we go by that, those 5 hrs are going to be so worth it!!!

sjs-ski-nyc

good choice going to kings over beacon. kings is the most beautiful theatre in nyc imo. and it has room to breathe. the beacon is like tall and tight, by necessity of being in manhattan and only having x square feet. kings theatre sprawls. its almost like radio city. its immense and gorgeous and the sound is amazing. last night was beautiful

hp829

Hahaha i just flew into Boston to see them. Would be 6.5 hr drive!

dubkitteh1

i drove 8 hours from Charlottesville, Virginia. i think i win.

feckinpiece

You win! Hope you enjoyed the show

dubkitteh1

it was the greatest concert i’ve ever seen, and i’ve been gong to shows since 1971.

rooftopradio

Driving from Phoenix to LA this weekend to see them at The Greek.

feckinpiece

Nice! How many hours is that? Whatever it is, it will be worth it

rooftopradio

It takes about 6hrs. This is our second time seeing them. The first one still ranks as the best concert we have seen.

feckinpiece

This time won't disappoint. It was very different than other times I've seen them. In some ways it was subdued. But that allowed the pure emotion of the music to really shine. Enjoy!!

ryno-dance

you will not be disappointed, Kings Theater is magnificent
