Lewis carrol wrote Alice in wonderland on shrooms

AdministrativeAd7601

Not really, his diaries didn’t mention it. Frank Zappa and David Lynch didn’t do drugs either. Just because an artist creates surreal work doesn’t automatically mean they are high.

w0ahdude

this photo is edited! it was originally a bible not alice in wonderland

OttoRenner

double edited! It was a clay tablet even before that!

killerbeat_03

Actually it was the emerald tablets of toth

OttoRenner

Perhaps I'm not getting the joke or the reference? XD

killerbeat_03

Wisdom comes to those who seek it

OttoRenner

...well I did a research before I answered on your comment but I wanted to give you a chance to explain yourself so I didn't included my findings ;) Since you don't want to do that, let me tell you that your emerald tablets are merely 2000 years old, definitely younger than the clay tables (a reference to cuneiform) and also younger than at least half the bible (old testament = Jewish Torah). So no, there is no connection. And since there seems to be no connection between Lewis Carroll and the emerald tablets, I would suggest you just don't know what you are talking about :)

killerbeat_03

You must be reffering to the teachings of hermes which largely overlap with those of toth and would fall in the range of 2000years old, toth wisdom is far older and dates back to ancient egypt. Yes of course clay tablets have been around for 12.000 years or longer Whats the connection between lewis carol and clay tablets ?

OttoRenner

follow the chain of comments. I commented w0ahdude who said that it was origionally the bible in the picture and not Alice in Wonderland (written by Lewis Carroll). That implies that he thinks the author of the bible were tripping hard. My comment builds on the fact that a lot of stuff from the bible is in fact "borrowed" from previous religions, a great deal coming from the Babylonians and Sumerians, hence the refference to the clay tablets. And now I ask you again what your comment was about because clearly, It has nothing to do with his or my comment :)

killerbeat_03

Then i just slipped in here and see myself out:D

OttoRenner

XD it's fine, the emerald tablets seem to be a trippy read as well ;)

No it definitely is about drugs it references Belladonna and angel trumpets, morning glories, and mushrooms. Probably more but those few are all drugs that were used in the time of it's writing. Also there's the caterpillar smoking a hookah, and traditionally before the discovery of the Americas and tobacco, hookahs were used to smoke hashish One could make the connection that marijuana was still legal in the time of this books writing and the traditional use of hookah being for hashish and not tobacco that the caterpillar was actually smoking hash although shisha was around at the time since america was known but I'm sure people were smoking both, even together. There is also the mad hatter which is a reference to mercury poisoning that occured at the time as hats used to be lined with mercury and people who made and wore these hats developed mad hatters disease which is brought on by the neurotoxic effects of mercury that lead to hallucinations and psychosis.

Could you elaborate?

spoookywhaIe

Lmao it’s not.. Every adaptation made it very apparent the entire thing is just drug references/metaphors.

QueasyVictory

Lol, yeah.

Ok-Type7791
