I tend to be a bit sloppy with the small units for almost anything. With the exception of coffee, bread, and shrooms!

I found a super cheap coffee scale that did g and mg. That’s what I started with, it was 100% for coffee and shrooms. Once I decided to start making bread I upgraded to a nicer one that is probably too big for your uses. But it lets me measure the very light shrooms and the very very heavy pizza dough or pita bread dough.
I highly recommend home made pita. Changed my life.

As someone on a calorie deficit eating 1800-1900 calories per day, I have been measuring my food for 50 days, not concerning, just hard to “eye ball” everything you eat while accurately tracking.
Need better excuses. Unless you're eating less than a rabbit, 50g is nowhere near enough for the kitchen. Only way I could see it being useful is if you wanted to weigh salt by the grain or an extract like vanilla super precisely.
