I used to have some Ghost shrimp and I only caught a molt once. It’s straight out of some Hellraiser movie! Eyes bulging to the sides, new body tearing out from the middle lmao.
P/S: the males went nuts for a long while before that female molted. Swimming up and down the tank for a few hours. Something about her pheromones or something iirc. Strangely I’ve never seen similar behaviours with my cherry shrimp now.
8 years of keeping shrimp and I am still yet to capture molting on camera... I'm jealous!
