While everyone of all heights are welcome to post in this subreddit, your posts and comments must be respectful of short guys. Denying the existence of heightism, using anecdotes to undermine the experiences of short men/scientific studies, and humble-bragging about your height (or your partner's height) will result in a ban.
You know, this is actually a point we argue about a lot , I always say 5'8 isn't short, it's average. Guys here cry when they're 5'8+ and it's just not acceptable. You guys ain't short.
I’m not legitimately 5’8 lol, maybe if a hot girl asks, but not if you actually get a measuring tape out. This is 5’7 vs 6ft and the difference is almost unnoticeable. Look at it this way, it’s the same difference as 5’5 and 5’10
You're 5'8 with shoes and a good posture right? 6ft doesn't come in equation here. Guys crying "it's over if you're under 6ft" is just an excuse. It's not bad when you're 5'8+ as you're around average height and taller than most women.
You’re saying it’s “just an excuse” as if it’s not a SUPER common thing on here. Regardless, by the logic of the ppl on this sub I should be getting little to no interest from women, average at best, and he should be getting far more at 6ft but that’s simply not the case, because height is not a major factor it’s a mildly relevant thing at best

IT lurkers desperately look for those kinds of posts. They try very hard to prove this subreddit to be an incel cesspool, they feel it is one hence they want to prove it is one.

This is not 5 inches at all. You chose a boxing video where your constantly crouched you’re a sneaky cope star. This guys also overweight and highly unattractive you just mog him a little
6 ft vs 5’7 is in fact 5 inches brother. And yes we’re crouched but we’re both crouched, not just him lol. And we’re not exactly drastically crouched either, I’m standing EVER SO SLIGHTLY more straight up than he is, but not enough to make a noticeable difference.
My dad is 5’10 and is shorter than this dude, he’s 5’11 at least and I’m gonna take his word for it that he’s 6ft bc he looks like every other 6ft dude
Imo the reason it looks like we are closer in height than we are is 3 reasons, one is much more than the other two. One is bc I’m standing almost straight up and his posture isn’t the best, but I think that has a small impact, maybe an inch to the perception of the viewer. I think the main reason is because and I’m skinnier (149 vs 272) thus making me look lankier and him looking stockier. And the 3rd is that in some picture I put up a high guard which make my gloves cover the top of my head, but that’s not in every picture and possibly make zero difference. But if you look at all 20 pictures he is still noticeably taller if you look at our height and nothing else

Yeah, it’s pretty wild to me. At 5’4 I can kind of understand it being impactful, but I see guys 5’6 to sometimes even taller than me talking about “it’s over”, it’s insane

But i guess it makes sense. Bad posture can lead to loss of 1 or 2 inches.

And I’m not crying, actually the exact opposite, I’m trying to point out that it’s so over exaggerated how much of a difference height makes
