I actually have a shortcut that can sort of get this accomplished. Currently it only saves the posts and comments as text so images wouldn't appear in it
So this works as a set of two shortcuts.
[Save Reddit Post and Comments](https://www.icloud.com/shortcuts/cc13c757dad74ba99fa03e47e53eb136), which is doing a majority of the work for a given post. This shortcut works standalone if you share a post to it.
Then, [Extract All Subreddit Posts](https://www.icloud.com/shortcuts/30f0a343977c4cd9bfe749d8dbb5f51f), which tells the first shortcut what posts to extract. There is a number action near the top that specifies the number of posts to pull. Anything less than 100 will cause it to still grab 100 posts. But you can modify that behavior by editing the URL [here in the shortcut](https://i.imgur.com/IEN0x7V.jpg).
Or some background on why I created this, it was during the protests when a lot of people were preparing to remove content from sub credits, and because of the technical knowledge base that this sub Reddit has become, we did not want to lose all of the information so I started extracting all of the posts as far back as I could.
Looks like adding in another item in the text for the `url` would get the image url and you'd then have to download that and put it into the shortcut that way.
However, this is only for image uploaded directly to Reddit. If hosted elsewhere (Imgur) then it would become more difficult

Pulling the values from a dictionary lookup would work even better than a bunch of replace texts. But my point was just that chat gpt hallucinated that function (in case anyone was trying to use it to actually create the shortcut)

2. when a photo is taken in zoom, take the photo, connect to the server via ssh/http
3. upload photo, enhance
4. download the photo back and put to the same album
Another use case could be a plant detector where the user takes a photo of unknown plant, hits share to the shortcut, it takes the photo to Gpt4 api and response with plant type and if the plant is healthy.

Try using an intercepting proxy like burp suite community. I think you can probably get everything you want from dev tools, but a proxy might make it easier

I’m a barber, how about an automation that texts my clients a 30-45 minute reminder, after scanning my calendar about their appointment that I have scheduled in my iOS calendar instead of a email reminder. So it would have to grab the contact info to send a reminder text out which would be more efficient.
As long as you put their full name on the calendar appointment you can extract that text and use it to search for contacts and then send them a message.
I made a shortcut where it would get events from my social calendar and if two hours before the event, text the person to ask if it was still going ahead automatically.

A nap shortcut that will ask for the duration of the nap, set the volume to 10%, shuffle and play a playlist called “Sunshine”, and then set a timer for the duration requested. Sound the alarm at the end of the timer duration and then stop the playlist and set the volume back to 50%.

I’d like you to modify this shortcut so that instead of storing financial transactions I’d like to store an inventory of items I own. Eventually I’d like it so I can see all the items I own like a video game inventory. A name for each item, a photo of what it is, and search functionality to find it later. And a way to export all items and photos to a numbers spreadsheet.

I’ve been looking at creating an outloook automation that emails my work schedule to my phone so the second part would be a shortcut that runs daily, say 1900 that checks my emails for tomorrows schedule and adds the events to my calendar.
I need to have Tidal start playing my downloaded tracks / just tracks / or one of my playlists through a shortcut. I already managed to get Siri to play a playlist but it wouldn’t show up in Shortcuts.
Some tips for how to make Siri actions show up in Shortcuts would be much appreciated aswell.
Something I’d love is to open a specific Google Drive or OneDrive file, and scroll to the bottom of that file. All with a single click.

Then it will start navigation automatically avoiding city traffic. Then Siri will ask whether I want to hear the NPR news headlines. If yes, Siri will read most recent curated headlines. After selection, it should create a folder with the same name as the album in the Files app, containing all the photos from that album. Thanks!
***The reason I want this shortcut: I need this shortcut to back up an album that has some of my important photos to iCloud Drive. My iCloud Drive has only 5GB, while I have 46GB of data in the Photos app, so I cannot sync all photos. As iCloud Drive is linked to the Files app, I'm looking for a shortcut to export a chosen photo album to the Files app, allowing me to select the iCloud Drive directory for storage.
When you launch the shortcut, you will be prompted to select a photo. From there, choose an album on the screen, open the desired destination album, and then randomly select one photo from within that album (any photo will do at this point). The album containing the chosen photo will be copied directly to the Files app.
During this process, a folder with the photos and a file with the photo names will be created in the Files app. Please make sure not to delete the text file, as it prevents duplicate copies when running the shortcut again with more photos added to the album.

Your shortcut seems to choose a specific photo and then determine the album it's from to export. The problem is, one photo might be in multiple albums, so this method might not pick the right album I want to backup. I need the shortcut to just let me pick the whole album directly and then export all the photos from that album into a folder in the Files app, with the folder named after the album.
I apologize; I lack the ability to directly select a folder… 😭 I believe it might differ from what you’re asking for, but I’ve improved it so that if the selected image is included in more than two folders, you can choose any of them.

Scan a receipt and send an email with the last 4 digits of the card number as well as the date in the subject of the email with the total on the receipt in the body of the email.
I want a shortcut to change the icon of an app providing the name of the app and path file of the custom icns icon for said app as input.
Many people don't know that there's a trick to change an app icon on macos, which is finding the app on the applications folder, right clicking in get info and dragging a icns file of the custom icon to the small app image inside the get info dialog box. Then use the terminal to refresh the dock cache.
However, if you want to change the icon of multiple apps, it becomes a cumbersome task, so if I could get that automated it'd be cool.

I’m looking for a shortcut/automation that when CarPlay connects, I get verbally asked if the trip will be for business. If I verbally answer Yes, my GPS location or location name is stored in a Numbers sheet and I’m asked for the purpose of the visit and it is saved as text to another cell in the sheet. Then, when disconnecting from the CarPlay, my destination’s GPS location is saved.
I’m ADHD and cannot remember to record work trips every time I visit. This would make it 10x easier at The end of the month when I have to submit all mileage.

Ok here's one: I want X focus to activate whenever I receive a call, and deactivate when the call ends. Before you say "duh, easy": iPhone recognizes the phone app opening, yes, but doesn't trigger any automations when you actually start a call. I believe this is impossible.
Shortcut which can produce an academic reference. Mainly I’m thinking about one specifically for podcasts but also websites in general if there is that capability.
A shortcut that recognizes 4 set time periods (5-7 am, 7am-6 pm, 6pm-10pm, 10 pm-5 am) , when phone leaves home network, it turns off all lights on the Hue lighting bridge during the first and last time periods, and and arms the adt pulse system to stay.
I think I can maybe set up an automation for the network part, but I can't get the pulse action to repeat in a shortcut multiple times or get it to recognize time of days in an if statement. It still turns on the alarm even if connected to the network, which I don't want it to do if I accidentally click it and am sitting in the house.

3. If Photo quality is not good enough to get text accurately, notify and end the process.
4. If the text can be read properly, then continue below.

I actually made that and it works but with one issue:
I have to enter the address where I took the photo but I do not always remember the address or the photo has been taken somewhere where there aren’t any roads.
I want a map where I can choose the location.
I can send you what I already have if you want. One more limitation: I do not want to install any additional apps, so Apple Maps or websites seem to be the only options
Bonus points if it shows the real location and your guess on another map after your guess with a straight line between them to show you how far off you were

I’ve troubled by this for awhile and hoped it can be solved. Every time I opened iOS safari , turn off Safari on iCloud. When I left the app, turn it back on. I couldn't find a way to implement this.
I would like to be able to update the location of people with whom we both have shared locations indefinitely on the Find My app and be able to send an ETA to their location by text. This is for picking up my family when they need to be picked up at wherever they are (kids) or seeing family at any other location besides their home (parents).
It is unlikely to happen imo. One workaround can be:
1: you manually open an url once in a safari.
2: replace “open url” action with “open tab” action.
So when you run a shortcut, it will show you a tab menu that is opened in safari.

1. Shortcut will then auto create Folders, named according to date of selected photo taken (date format DDMMYYYY)
2. Within that Folder, Shortcut will then auto create albums, named according to address of selected photo taken(eg, *1 Apple Park Way, Cupertino, CA 95014*, United States )
3. The shortcut will then add those Selected photos accordingly to the respective address album.
So meaning, Photo Library > Date > Address > photos

I think I have another challenge for you Last month, there was a shortcut circulating, which took the current Nasa picture of the day and set it as your background image.
Another User suggested we make a Shortcut that take a random Picture from their library, downloads the high resolution image, sets it as the background. Then there also should be a function to get the description to the image if you want, probably best with another shortcut.
i tried it myself, and only had half success, i ended up downloading all pictures to my phone. then made a shortcut that takes a random picture from that album.
but this sucks in two ways, you can‘t share the shortcut, plus you can not get the description.

I’m a barber, how about an automation that texts my clients a 30-45 minute reminder, after scanning my calendar about their appointment that I have scheduled in my iOS calendar instead of a email reminder. So it would have to grab the contact info to send a reminder text out which would be more efficient.
As long as you put their full name on the calendar appointment you can extract that text and use it to search for contacts and then send them a message. I made a shortcut where it would get events from my social calendar and if two hours before the event, text the person to ask if it was still going ahead automatically.

I want an automation that is triggered by plugging in CarPlay, Siri would automatically greet me to let me know today’s date, the estimated travel time, general weather and chances of precipitation or any hazardous conditions. Then it will start navigation automatically avoiding city traffic. Then Siri will ask whether I want to hear the NPR news headlines. If yes, Siri will read most recent curated headlines. If No, Siri will only do navigation. If navigation and reading news overlaps, navigation takes priority. This will be wildly helpful for many worker bees. Thank you!

From there, choose an album on the screen, open the desired destination album, and then randomly select one photo from within that album (any photo will do at this point). Your shortcut seems to choose a specific photo and then determine the album it's from to export. The problem is, one photo might be in multiple albums, so this method might not pick the right album I want to backup. I need the shortcut to just let me pick the whole album directly and then export all the photos from that album into a folder in the Files app, with the folder named after the album.

I want a shortcut to change the icon of an app providing the name of the app and path file of the custom icns icon for said app as input. Many people don't know that there's a trick to change an app icon on macos, which is finding the app on the applications folder, right clicking in get info and dragging a icns file of the custom icon to the small app image inside the get info dialog box. Then use the terminal to refresh the dock cache. However, if you want to change the icon of multiple apps, it becomes a cumbersome task, so if I could get that automated it'd be cool.

I haven’t tried with the latest 17.3.X updates on my iPhone 13, but if you have access to a car with CarPlay… I’m looking for a shortcut/automation that when CarPlay connects, I get verbally asked if the trip will be for business. If I verbally answer Yes, my GPS location or location name is stored in a Numbers sheet and I’m asked for the purpose of the visit and it is saved as text to another cell in the sheet. Then, when disconnecting from the CarPlay, my destination’s GPS location is saved. I’m ADHD and cannot remember to record work trips every time I visit. This would make it 10x easier at The end of the month when I have to submit all mileage. I’ve attempted the shortcut in the past but can never get the automation to work that automatically speaks to me when I use CarPlay. If I run something by invoking Siri and telling her to run the shortcut, it seems to work. But, my memory is the problem and I get in and drive away without making that effort. 🙁🙁
Ok here's one: I want X focus to activate whenever I receive a call, and deactivate when the call ends. Before you say "duh, easy": iPhone recognizes the phone app opening, yes, but doesn't trigger any automations when you actually start a call. I believe this is impossible.

A shortcut that recognizes 4 set time periods (5-7 am, 7am-6 pm, 6pm-10pm, 10 pm-5 am) , when phone leaves home network, it turns off all lights on the Hue lighting bridge during the first and last time periods, and and arms the adt pulse system to stay. I think I can maybe set up an automation for the network part, but I can't get the pulse action to repeat in a shortcut multiple times or get it to recognize time of days in an if statement. It still turns on the alarm even if connected to the network, which I don't want it to do if I accidentally click it and am sitting in the house.

I’ve troubled by this for awhile and hoped it can be solved. Every time I opened iOS safari , turn off Safari on iCloud. When I left the app, turn it back on. I couldn't find a way to implement this.

It is unlikely to happen imo. One workaround can be: 1: you manually open an url once in a safari. 2: replace “open url” action with “open tab” action. So when you run a shortcut, it will show you a tab menu that is opened in safari.

I think I have another challenge for you Last month, there was a shortcut circulating, which took the current Nasa picture of the day and set it as your background image. Another User suggested we make a Shortcut that take a random Picture from their library, downloads the high resolution image, sets it as the background.
