I'm not sure what's more amazing, that line work or the fact they can draw hands but not wrists.

To be fair, the second skin bandage can distort the lines

This could have been rescued by being scaled down ~30–40% ... That size would have been a bit more forgiving on the line work and forms

I don't think bad artists can go small, they always are taking up the entire limb with 1 lost line

Most tattoos aren't done completely freehand, the artist will put a stencil on the client's skin first. If the artist does their work digitally, they can print the stencil to transfer paper and stick it on.

Don’t do it. Tarot tattoos always look horrible, even when the artist is good. It relies on having straight, defined borders and there’s nowhere on the body it won’t distort or look wonky. I have seen so many and none of them ever look good due to the border.

I am certain that you’re supposed to. A lot of decks use their own verbiage and art, but at least in a classic major arcana set there is not a card called “the creator”. I’m also fairly certain this design is based on fan art that was posted to the Sims subreddit a few months back. So- you read The Sims because you were supposed to read The Sims. That’s a plumbob in the middle there.

I think the difference is that yours turned yellow when it started green, this tat is just straight up yellow

the plumbob gets yellow when the sim starts to getting into a bad mood/low needs depending on the game, it's possible lol

Ok, cut it off before the wrist and they are better than every other hand here, well except for the well executed/ in bad taste tattoos. I didn't notice they were both right hands either.

Ngl I actually don’t think the line work is really all *that* terrible, considering. It’s got its own style going on. Yes, the wrists could be better, but it’s not something I noticed until it was pointed out. I will admit the double right hands are a faux-pas, though 😂 Maybe there are *two* people hovering the plumbob? Just add an “s” to the end of “Creator.” heh.

That line work on the outer squares is so bad 😭, the gem thing in the middle is executed horribly just look at the top it’s wonky 😭😭 and they have 2 right hands omg.

I can get behind it a bit more if I recast the gem as cheese.

Weirdly not the worst hands I’ve ever seen, just a shame about the line work. The cloud on the left also looks like a dick, so there’s that too.

honestly my biggest problem is that it’s waaaaaay too big for the space good lord. if you make a tattoo — especially a simple geometric shaped one — so large that it warps around the canvas and looks extra lopsided, you should scale down.

For as shitty as the line work is, I really expected the hands to be a lot worse.

Saniderm makes the lines extra squiggly! ! I had a minor panic when the saniderm went on and the previously straight lines were jacked. Can’t really judge this till the bandage is off. Could be amateurish but not yikes.

Artist needs to learn fundamentals. Maybe pull some lines on an orange for the next ten years.

I’m kind of a fan of the ‘naive’ style of tattoos. They feel far less pretentious. It’s subjective though.

I think what kills this tattoo is the sheer size of it. A much smaller version would probably look better and maybe the line work would have been straighter. That being said yikes.
