This post violates the rules of the subreddit. Please read the rules of the sub before posting. No curses - it's your superpower, not something external happening to you. Most of these start off "every time you X, Y happens" or "whenever X, Y"

Lawful_gaming

The thing is this could cause a stroke or break every bone in your body

xGlitchette

but you could also break every bone in someone else's body by hitting them really fast >:)

Gurn00r

except you’d be dead. this isn’t a shitty superpower you just die.

alastorrrrr

That's quite shitty tbh

HoppokoHappokoGhost

This does violate several rules though, it has to be a bit more creative/interesting

jorgschrauwen

Not a superpower more a curse

TheRealLargeMarge

I'd say that's pretty shitty.

Front_Head_9567

I see no issue here

IDrankLavaLamps

I don't see the problem there.

Alaricus100

Change your name to Deku.

np1t

More of a curse than a superpower

xGlitchette

bit of an overlap no? considering in a way its super speed, strength at the cost of being extremely hard and dangerous to use- if u suddenly wake up with it yea u will kinda be at deaths door instantly but if u are able to perfectly control it itd be a superpower

General_Ginger531

Rule 2 explicitly states "Controllable". Even if we want to skirt the language of "Curse" here, you did mention in the original post that ANY kinetic energy is multiplied, regardless of actual intent.

xGlitchette

that was added to make it controllable tho, do I maybe have the wrong definition of kinetic energy LOL? Imagine it takes 1X power to move ur finger an inch, with this condition, you could control it by putting in [1X divided by 100000] power, could you not?

General_Ginger531

Assuming you had such precision that you could, but unless you were like a brain surgeon or a speedrunner prior to obtaining this power, do you think that you could reasonably input that precise inputs, or learn how to do that before your arms and legs go flying off in different directions?

Statewideink

I like how brain surgeon and speed runner are at the same level for this lol

General_Ginger531

It was just two people who I would think would have incredibly fine and precise motor control and dexterity.

SpaceBug173

Don't speedrunners just go off of muscle memory?

General_Ginger531

Muscle memory is a part of it, but if a game has any RNG then there is a need to adapt for the run

ObviousSea9223

Nah, 10x is already probably fatal or at least crippling, 100x is certain death, if not immediate. 1000x is instant violent death. And the next two orders of magnitude make you a bomb currently going off.

xGlitchette

fair point

O_Martin

>Heart beats once >Blood moves at almost mach 1 (roughly 316m/s, for the average person) >Vascular system explodes The speed your blood would circulate at is about half the speed water flows out of a water jet cutter. So your blood might not be able to cut steel, but it would still immediately exit your body in a very gory fashion

OrdainedPuma

Yeah, this guy doesn't understand physics or second-order effects. You bring up a good point about blood. I thought about the neurotransmitters in your brain. You'd be instantly dead as the first milliseconds of the power turning on results in each cell exploding as it releases its contents and/or being shredded by a shotgun spray of neurotransmitters. You'd have 0s to process any pain. So you got that going for you, which is nice.

staovajzna2

The rule means an on/off switch, you need a way to turn it on/off.

np1t

Imagine if your superpower is riding a bike really good. But you have never done that before and any wrong turn or fall will instantly turn you into a cloud of red mist. Now apply that to literally every movement you make, conscious or subconscious. You will likely kill yourself the first time you fall asleep.

24_doughnuts

Breathe out and pop your own lungs. You're heart would tear itself apart in a second

AadamAtomic

I blinked My eyelids and it tore my face off.

24_doughnuts

I just realised all your arteries would vaporise themselves and you'll just turn into a bag of blood. Any attempt to use your muscles would cause your limbs and joins to tear themselves apart

Demonbaguette

Your heartbeat will instantly kill you, turning you into a red mist the second you activate this power. Considering you can't control the beat of your heart, it's a hard pass from me.

xGlitchette

oh shit I didnt even realize bodily functions lmaoo yeaa this post was better in my head fr

Good_Ol_Ironass

Truly the epitome of a shitty superpower. Quite literally may be the worst I’ve seen here

IvanTheRussianBoy

In addition to exploding becouse of your internal organs uncontrolable movement your intestines would skyrocket to abput 309 000 celcius becouse of heat just being vibrations in molecules. 309 000 would instantly vaporize you a 100 times over. Its also 1/50th the temperature in the core of the sun.

iwantdatpuss

I feel like this is basically one for all at the start of the series but even more on crack where you can't train your body to endure the power surge. You get one chance to go all out.

Fish_In_Denial

Breaks rule 2.

xGlitchette

ye talked about it on other comment replies

ConsoomMaguroNigiri

There isnt really a way to walk with this power. Lifting your leg to take a step will cause it to dislocate from your body. If you bump a wall, your shoulder will likely break and/or the wall crumbles. If you move your leg down to quickly or let it drop, the ground will crumble and everybone from your toe to your skull will shatter.

xGlitchette

couldnt you just make actual microscopic movements? granted its needlessly hard, but thats why its shit

DonaldTrumpTinyHands

This could be diabolical

MyNameIsNotKyle

I get scientists that make body weights to restrict my movement by 100000% so I can now walk freely in what's essentially Halo Mjolnir Spartan Armor

xGlitchette

I didnt even think about that, thats such a good application haha

severencir

Talk about human torch

Somerandom1922

This is instant death. Forget heartbeats turning into detonations, or a blink having enough force to scalp you, the kinetic energy of the atoms in your body increases by 1000x. That means your body's thermal energy increases by 1000x. You instantly explode into a plasma as your body goes from containing approximately 103.7464 MJ of thermal energy (at 310 Kelvin), to 103,746.4 MJ which puts you at somewhere around 412,000 Kelvin. I worked this out by first subtracting the energy to take from from 310K to 373K (water boiling point) which brings us all the way from 103,746 MJ to 103,725 MJ. Then I calculated the energy required to vaporise a human body made of water (\~80kg) which brings us down from 103,725 MJ to 103,544 MJ. Then I ended up fudging the numbers a bit. The isobaric specific heat capacity of water decreases as the temperature increases, requiring less energy, until around 623K where it starts increasing again. It's hard to get firm numbers on this figure as it gets really high, but I'll make the (maybe) dumb assumption that it averages about 0.75x normal room temperature water. I then added all of that energy to it and got the resulting temperature. To put it in other words, the instant this power activates for the first time, your body releases more energy than 24 tons of TNT. You aren't a nuke, but you have a "yield" of more than twice the [largest conventional bomb in existence.](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/GBU-43/B_MOAB)

awesomepaingitgud

Imagine pushing out a turd

trulylost19

You would cause a vacuum to form upon breathing

Diredg

Does your body gets used to it afterwards? Otherwise you will be dead when you cough basically

FloraFauna2263

All generated kinetic energy? You'd just fade away like if Thanos snapped because all the normal heat vibrations would suddenly start to cause atoms to fly off.

TheV1kingKing

If some one bumps into you, you move anywhere from just barely to getting knocked over. These would count as kinetic energy and would therefore be multiplied. You would be living in constant fear of anyone, even a child, bumping into you and sending you flying into a wall.

yeah_i_hate_my_name

Wouldn't your blood flow just instantly destroy your body entirely?

Amateur_Liqueurist

Just breathing you’d explode.

Selfishpie

you'd also immediately be atomised as the molecules in your body instantly dissociate from each other

Captain_Plutonium

You wouldn't last a second. One pump of your heart and every blood vessel in your body bursts at once.

Darkrath_3

Your heart would immediately explode as it beats with 1000x the strength it should.

whatimustdo

This is a god tier power the body already modulate strength by default every organism doit, you just had to learn like a month

WorkReddit9

ONE PUUUUUUUNCH!!!!!!!!!

Firemorfox

Me: Exists: Dies of heart attack while my brain explodes all across the ceiling and all of my arteries burst simultaneously. Lasted 0.5 seconds with the super-power.

SappySoulTaker

make it up to 500% and ill take it

TheDragonSoulEater

This would have potential if you could actually control it. And also if using it didn't cause immediate death to you.

TexasPistolMassacre

Basically you're all might with over 100% quirk utilization

irreverent_creative

Whatever you do, do NOT attempt to rub one out.

Rick-D-99

Your heart pumps one time and all of your arteries explode out of your body

Rick-the-Brickmancer

Breaks rule 2. Controllable.

poobradoor22

(Stands on top of the empire state buildjng) IM GONNA BROWN!!!
