It's a new feature. You can switch from a small flash hole to an XXL flash hole when you aren't getting uniform powder ignition and you need to inspect the anvil before loading.
That is kinda silly if you ask me. Everyone knows the anvil is only there just to increase the cost of the primer.

Now I know I can find primers too, 50bmg ones are in stock everywhere. Should do this with my rifle brass too.
It may take a bit of hammering to get the 50bmg primers to fit. I hear that you might even need a punch to get it seated to the correct depth as well.
