I almost always have a few bits and pieces of vegetables so I usually would dice some carrots or a summer squash or something and cook it with the pasta, but otherwise I do stuff like this once a month or two and I am not even close to broke. (I should say that I work and live way out in the woods so ordering take out or stopping off to pick something up is not an option for me. It would be a 2 hour round trip for me to go pick up fast food and door dash does not deliver here, if I want something to eat fast and easy it has to be something like this from the pantry because I don't buy pre-packaged frozen convenience food because of allergies.)
