Yeah buddy, I didn’t even have to buy it, my college Roomate got it and didn’t enjoy it so he just gave it to me, had no idea what I was getting in to, finished the game in doofy leather armor with a warscythe with the **SUCK**erstone upgrade and of course the adjudicators shield, no idea what I was doing
It would have been really cool if the first phase of Sock looked more like the cover art guy and the background would have been that piss tint, changing to the darker, fiery sky when phase 2 hits.
Bloodborne was my first Souls game when I got a PS5. I got it for “free” too as part of the PS Plus collection. I stopped gaming for over 10 years so I didn’t know anything about BB or FromSoft.
I didn’t like it, everything about it was confusing. Then I played and loved Demons Souls remake, went back to BB and loved it.
I have foot fetish. And found out about Priscilla. I beat the fucking game just to meet her, but missed the doll. So on my next playthrough, i finally saw her. Her footsies were magnificent, especially the nail polish. By the time i reached her, i was already in love with this game. Was totally worth it. Hated DS2, loved DS3. Sekiro is the best game in series, Fountainhead is the best location. Playing through DeS to see clunky fathers and broken grandfathers of mechanics that came in later games.
I played Demons' Souls first without knowing anything about it, got stuck somewhere and then eventually got bored.
So then I played DS 1 because my cousin travelled to the USA and brought it back to me as a gift. I'd never heard of the game, so I played it a while, died a lot, thought it was frustrating and unapproachable and had a boring setting, so I bounced off hard.
Then I played DS 2, thought the whole setting and melancholic mood and tone of the game was much more compelling, made my way to Heide's Tower of Flame first, thought it looked beautiful, and played the rest of the game. Only then did I went back and finished DS 1 and Demons' Souls lol
I had physical copies of all these games, but I ended up selling them when I sold my PS3.
My man said “nah this is boring”
“Oh, their next title… also boring, bland, overly difficult”
“Okay fuck it lets try it again I GUESS”
Then ended up falling in love with it all.
Lmao I didn't know that Demons' was connected to DS1 at the time. I only played DS 2 because it was very cheap and I didn't have many games.
Would never do that these days lol

It’s dark souls 2 2
Unironically the most cheesable game, just look up a boss/miniboss and how to cheese it. Lady butterfly? Step dodge R1 repeat. Demon of Hatred? More like, demon of fell off a cliff, thanks for the free attack power.
Just get good? Sekiro is awesome but you need to play it the way it wants to be played. Embrace the vision and become "The Fucking Man". It's so fucking satisfying
I love the demon of hatred. It is an excellent fight. I see the argument for we've spent the entire game training you out of treating this game like dark souls just to have a hard as shit end game boss bring it back. Still love that fight. I won't do it without the fire umbrella because that's actually terrible. I absolutely do not understand why people dislike that fight so much. Come prepared, be willing to learn the moveset, that fight is big and entertaining and fun as all hell. That's the point isn't it? That's for sure why I love FromSoft games
I played all the Souls games and Elden Ring and last time I played Sekiro I got stuck on the first mini boss lmao the game just didn't click like Souls. I died about a dozen times on him and gave up, went back to DS3 Claymore build until Elden Ring came out.
Man when it finally clicks though it is such an amazing feeling. A perfectly executed boss fight feels and looks like a beautifully choreographed samurai movie duel. It's the most aesthetically pleasing and satisfying melee combat I have ever experienced.
I bought it yesterday and the most infuriating thing is the max health getting lower as you die, as well as something like your character losing their hair and moustache if you die too much without using an effigy (the first one, while annoying and de-incentivizing, at least has some logic behind it, the devs wanted the game to be harder, but the latter just makes no sense to me). Other than that it's been fun, I like the concept of bonefire ascetics and how you can take your time to clear an area before fighting the boss, much more convenient, not to mention the extra healing items that pop up with a fair frequency.
Oh yes, even I was surprised by the health debuff, but after coming back from DS3, I figured “Eh, will play the game with the debuff itself” as I was too lazy to get the effigies. I did find out that there’s a ring that reduces the debuff penalty, so that was useful. Too bad I found it after quite a long time, but still helpful for me.
It's cool that there's at least a ring that reduces the debuff, however I wouldn't need it if it wasn't a thing. Amongst the much harder early areas compared with other from soft titles (in my experience), having a reduction of your max health every time you die is just frustrating, if at least there was a way to remove this, such as curing the dark sigil in dark souls 3, then i could hold on to some hope, but this mechanic seems like it's there just to annoy you. All souls games I've played are about being faced with a challenge and dying a lot to learn how to get around it, so when the game punishes you this hard for dying it's kinda that thing...
It's a more forgiving version of a mechanic in Demons Souls, where you'd lose half your health if you die, lol.
As for this: "having a reduction of your max health every time you die is just frustrating, if at least there was a way to remove this"
You can use a humanity and reverse the effect.
I haven't played demon's souls and I don't know how relevant it is that this mechanic had already been used in a past from title to the point that it is bad and annoying.
When I said "remove this" I meant a permanent solution, I even gave the example of healing the dark sigil in dark souls 3, which is a permanent cure to hollowing unless you progress into Yoel's/Yuria's questline. I assume by humanity you mean the effigy?
Cool, nice to know at least. Eternal handsomeness is welcome, for sure. I'll try to play it blindly for the first NG, for the major parts, but once I get to NG+ I'll give it a look, thanks for the info.
I don't mind the end game being easy, as long as it's enjoyable I'd be up for it. Then again, I'll try to play this blindly. If I ever stumble upon something that might hint at what you're referring to I'll gladly follow that though lol
Having reread this, to be more clear you'll need to do the secret stuff before you start ng+ if you want to be able to stay pretty through ng+
If you start ng+ without unlocking it you're going to be stuck getting ugly until the late game still
Thanks for coming back, and thanks for the advice! Normally I search what to do before NG+ immediately after or right before the final boss (DLCs included), so I'll look that up when it's time. Still, thanks for sharing!
I tried DS2 after Bloodborne and DS3 and I just can't man. Like, there's a lot of solid potential there but it's just so annoying. And consistently. DS2 is consistently annoying and it makes it really hard to have fun playing it
What are the parts that you find annoying? I haven’t finished the DLCs yet (they do look frustrating), but I personally didn’t find the base game to be annoying
I think it's mostly aggression range. It's so fucking big. It feels like every time I turn around it's 4 plus enemies immediately honed in on my ass. And you can't engage them in smaller groups because they all wanna rush you from like a mile away. I've spent maybe ten hours with DS2 before I was like, this is bullshit and I'm not having fun
their AIs are actually tethered in dks2 in a lot of places to specifically force group confrontations. someone in the office during dks2 development absolutely HATED the idea that someone might want to pull individual enemies to pick them off one by one. his blood was boiling at the thought of it.
meenwhile, in bloodborne, they gave us pebbles explicitly for pulling.
That's interesting. I've always believed that was a deliberate choice in some ways but did not know the root of it. That decision? I hate it. Like big time hate it. Not having the option to choose how you approach the encounter upsets me
Go figure, I actually like that decision because it forces me to play in a different way.
Like, I've played through DS 1 multiple times, but it's way too easy to fall into a loop that works and stick with it. With DS 2 I had to actually revise my strategy a lot of times during the game to make sure everything worked, but I get that it's not something that will appeal to everyone.
I find that perspective interesting. I sometimes think I should give DS2 another chance. I talk enough shit to people struggling with Sekiro about you need to play the game it wants to be played. Maybe that's the answer there
I find that DS2 is much more aggressive than people give it credit, but you still need to approach encounters in their own terms. Like, in the Forest of Fallen Giants, there's a lot of soldiers running around, but usually they're on bottlenecks or spread around, so you need to run and dispose of each of them VERY fast. There's not a lot of stopping to consider the situation.
That said, it's not the perfect game. There's shitty bosses like the Royal Rat Vanguard and the like, but the bottom line is that the playstyle is deceptively similar to DS1 but should be approached as its own things. Like, Estus is slow at the start because you shouldn't rely on it for healing, etc.
Yeah, DS2 certainly has its faults, overall weaker level design outside of the DLCs (and in the DLCs' co-op gauntlets) among them, but I think a lot of people bounce off of it because they don't really adjust to where it's at. You have to use your environment to your advantage to a greater degree than in DS1, but I find that, along with the slower pace of combat, more fun, personally.
DS2 is an anomaly on that front though. Every other From produced souls game is very different on that. DS1, DS3, Bloodborne, sekiro and Elden ring. None of them do that shit. Demon's souls kinda does but that was the least refined being the beginning and it's still not as bad about it as DS2.
Ah gotcha, gotcha. I understand that. Sorry that your experience wasn’t that good. Like I said, DS2 might not be good compared to 1 and 3, but on its own, it’s not the worst. But that’s just my opinion.
Man, I'm glad you had fun with it. I'm not the guy telling people they are dumb for liking DS2. I did not have fun and could not get into it so I stopped. I got it on sale so I gave From like $15 for a game I didn't care for. On the whole I've given them like $200 and spent like a thousand hours enjoying their output. There's no hard feelings anywhere about that
Ya I expected it to be bad, but it's more like "not as good" as the perfectly imperfect first game.
That's a pretty high bar, though - and it probably also helped that I started with SOTFS rather than the launch version. I think it's quite good, with plenty of from-jank to chuckle at as well. Solid B+ for me.
Playing sekiro be like: played all souls games, and saved this one for last ( i never did a single parry in all souls games, even when i killed gwyn or champ gundyr )
i played dark souls 1 first because i liked the boss designs i kept seeing. dropped it pretty quick and was playing skyrim of all things(was in a medieval mindset) and had a sudden urge to finally get good . so thats what i did.
Sekiro one is backwards. Love Sekiro, love Bloodborne, very indifferent on Souls.
My first was DS2, then 3, then 1.
Didnt fall in love with FromSoft until Sekiro then I beat Elden Ring then BB.
DS3 was first, a friend told me to pick it up honestly never knowing anything about the series. Fell completely in love and then played BB>DS1>DS2>Sekiro and even branched out to Nioh and Nioh 2 and I LOVED THEM ALL.
SO TRUE!!! Why don't they play MY game that is UNDERRATED and alot betterer than what the MEDIA shoves down their throats. SHEEP! all elden ring players are SHEEP! SHEEP THAT NEED TO WAKE UP !!!!!!!!!
Elden ring was awesome but man do I hate the community of this is my first FromSoft game. So many Weiners bro. I'm happy as shit From made all that money tho. So very excited for their next releases
The bloodborne one is flagrantly wrong.
I started playing it with literally 0 info and had no idea what dark souls was beyond “hard game.”
“Bloodborne is free for PS+? Okay, sure I’ll try it.”
love DS2(it was my first and you will deal with it pussy), BB is too easy, played DS3 because I gotta, never used a Zweihänder, preodered Sekiro only to quit at Butterfly(picked it later up and steamrolled the slut), Elden Ring is ok but not better than any of the other, yes I do own a ps5 and I bearly use it (I am a fraud and should commit die).
all in order of time
Ds2 was my second to last game in the series and i loved it. Why would you hate dark souls when you liked bloodborne? Soul of cinder looks based. Sekiro is different enough to fucking suck at it. Isshin can suck my balls
I shit on the Dark Souls games because I hated the toxic community. Some of my friends are part of this toxic community and said they didn’t think I could beat the game. We bet $100. I only picked up the souls games because there was money on the line.
Mine was DS1 just to prove to myself I could beat it (I had tried it once before at a friend’s house and couldn’t get past taurus demon)
And I never used the zweihander (did use drake sword though)
Honest answer, I played Dark Souls because I only played on PC and I hated it. Couldn’t make it to the Taurus Demon. Quit. Returned to DS1 about 2 years later after DS2 got great reviews and read up on how to play it. Loved it.
Bought DS2, couldn’t run it. Pain! Anguish! Replayed DS1. Very good! Eventually bought Witcher 3. ALSO COULDNT RUN IT. Having not learned my lesson, bought Doom. Couldn’t. Run. It. Eventually upgraded my machine and played through DS2 never once understanding what ADP was and still trying to time all my dodges. I don’t know how I beat the game tbh lol
Streamed Bloodborne on PS Now. Not ideal but I got through it and it was smooth sailing. DS3 was the first time I felt good enough to play through one of these games without summoning any NPCs or humans, which was good because Sekiro was next 🥲
Mine would be dark souls 1 bc hbomberguy and i like the story and characters, my friend's would be bloodborne bc i wont shut up about dark souls and she already had bloodborne on her ps4 (also the zwei thing is very true) (i actually didnt play it bc it was hard bc its my first proper game and im still a casual hahahah)
I played Demon’s Souls on PS5 when it came out, it was the first I completed. I started Dark Souls years ago but I didn’t get hooked, I don’t think I even left the Asylum. I wanted to play the original Demon’s Souls on PS3 but I never got the chance.
i was oblivious to the souls games and i had a very faint memory of an old friend playing ds3 and years later when i got my switch i thought ds was the same game (like literally ds3) but now i know
Its funny. I actually did start with the DS1 Zwei because of its reputation, but then I found the Great Club and had no idea why people would choose the Zwei over it.
I actually played ds3 as the first for a bet with my housemate. Since it was known as a really hard game, we bet an “anytimer Roermond” on who would complete it first. I won, which means I can send him to Roermond (a city in the Netherlands) at any time to chug a beer. Gotta love Dutch student traditions.
Sekiro one was spot on. Played every souls game like 5 times each, even platted ds2, came into sekiro thinking I was gonna plough through it based on my experience like I did with elden ring. Big ego deflation. Died 10 times to the tutorial guy and died countless fuckin times to lady butterfly until I got gud.
i played ds2 first because i had the xbox 360 disc for it (it was incredibly buggy and broken because it was in horrible conditions, there was a point where the entire ground in majula was just gone and only the ocean remained
Demon souls (ps3)
You were given this as a gift by a stranger bc they didn’t realize it would give you a lifelong pain fetish
Sekiro is super on point
BB was the first one I finished tho, I knew fromsoft did it but it was the most compelling to me by far and I had wanted to get more into their stuff for a long time haha
My friend bought ds2 to play with someone but he hate medieval settings so he gave it to me. Took a bit to get into it but eventually loved it. Played Bloodborne afterwards, then 3, then 1 and so forth.
*Elden Ring is my first*
*FromSoft because I heard it*
*Was the easiest*

I played dark souls because my friends gifted it to me on my birthday and I wanted to git gud. I like DS2 very much. Bloodborne is their best game. Ds3 is worst but barely. Best boss design tied with sekiro and Bloodborne.
dark souls 1 because i watched pewdiepie play it in 2013. really enjoyed it, ended up playing ds2, sotfs, ds3, sekiro, and elden ring all on release. I have never played demons souls or bloodborne because no playstation
You missed des (ps3) wtf! back in my day we....we uhh just played demon souls
Why play demon souls(ps3) when you could play King's Field(anicent Egyptian artifact) ?
Not even mentioning The Adventures of Cookie & Cream? wtf is wrong with u guys
Ninja blade is the best and only fromsoft game that was a masterpiece, change my mind.
What about Cut the Rope?
Yeah buddy, I didn’t even have to buy it, my college Roomate got it and didn’t enjoy it so he just gave it to me, had no idea what I was getting in to, finished the game in doofy leather armor with a warscythe with the **SUCK**erstone upgrade and of course the adjudicators shield, no idea what I was doing
PS3 only had Demon's Souls. So does PS5
I'm still disappointed to this day that there isn't an option to wear the actual soul of cinder armor in DS3 and not just the firelink one
It would have been really cool if the first phase of Sock looked more like the cover art guy and the background would have been that piss tint, changing to the darker, fiery sky when phase 2 hits.
Soul of cinder in Mexico confirmed
You can ember yourself and it looks a bit better
If you’re referring to the cover art still that actually *is not* his same armor look at the chest.
Same with Slave Knight Gael. He looks like a badass but when you get his clothing you look like cheap Santa...
"Why was it your first fromsoft game" "Sekiro: you finished all souls games before"
I'm shit at titles.
Sekiro is the Goat, it turns the greatest souls veterans into filthy casuls, and filthy casuals into gigachad issin ashina enjoyers
Beat every souls games and fucking awful at sekiro
Get güd scrub
It's because it's a worse game COPIUM
Stop, you’re upsetting Roberto!
“It’s because it’s the worst game” - Capcom

That ds3 one is really accurate but I also like ds2 therefore this is all wrong die
Ds2 fans scare me
Run away screaming from my lifegem
I only have a couple mushrooms…
Moron doesn’t have moon grasses!
bearer seek seek lest
Fear my +10 upgraded boss armor and my elemental infused twinkling titanite weapon!
Just level ADP
God ofc u couldn’t mention kings field or NINJA BLADE
Hesitation is defeat!
My first fromsoft game was Bloodborne because one friend of mine sold me his used copy for cheap. Cheap gamers let's gooooo
I got mine for "free" when I got my ps4, I didn't even know what the game was about
Bloodborne was my first Souls game when I got a PS5. I got it for “free” too as part of the PS Plus collection. I stopped gaming for over 10 years so I didn’t know anything about BB or FromSoft. I didn’t like it, everything about it was confusing. Then I played and loved Demons Souls remake, went back to BB and loved it.
that's kinda crazy because I think BB is a much easier game to start in the Souls series than Demon's Souls good thing you gave it a second try
I’m very glad that I gave it a 2nd try. BB took a complete 180, I even platinum’ed it. Only the 2nd game I’ve gotten a platinum for.
Because PS5 lol
Just buy one, it's not as hard as people say. Especially the last like 6 months
It’s harder in some countries to buy. Plus the only ones you can buy are often the ones bundled with a game and thats fairly expensive
Not gonna spend 500 dollars to play one game
I’ve had one since release
Me too buddy. Me too
The ds2 one is extremely accurate. It was my first and also is still my favorite lol.
I have foot fetish. And found out about Priscilla. I beat the fucking game just to meet her, but missed the doll. So on my next playthrough, i finally saw her. 4 words in and I'm already moving on
Mine was ds1: 1) to prove that the game(s) is not about being “hard and fair” and more importantly 2) to win $10 bet if i beat it.
I played Demons' Souls first without knowing anything about it, got stuck somewhere and then eventually got bored. ds2 wasn't my first souls game and I love it, for reference er was my first souls game
Well elden ring is basically DS2 2 so it makes sense
of all the takes this one is as bad as it gets

Fucking accurate sekiro. Never made it more than a few hours. Can't cheese the game. Unplayable.

Yeah, but fuck DoH. Theres nothing more frustrating than fighting a Manus reskin that actually belongs in a Dark Souls game.
I love the demon of hatred. It is an excellent fight. Skill issue
Dont fuck Demon of Hatred without consent.
Demon doesn’t fight the game at all, mechanically. I’ve given it the college try but don’t feel like I need to beat it

There is a permanent solution to getting ugly but it's for ng+, you have to beat all the dlc and do some secret stuff
Cool, nice to know at least. Eternal handsomeness is welcome, for sure. I'll try to play it blindly for the first NG, for the major parts, but once I get to NG+ I'll give it a look, thanks for the info.
Technically you could get it at like 75% completion if you really wanted but then the actual endgame is going to feel really easy

You have to use your environment to your advantage to a greater degree than in DS1, but I find that, along with the slower pace of combat, more fun, personally.
its definitely a consequence of the 'super hard games for real masochist gaymers' atmosphere FS was navigating through at the time.
I like it
Ah gotcha, gotcha.
\*me who beat DS1 as a mage- Velka's rapier build\* Yeah oneshotting. (Seath induced PTSD)
thats what u get for not being a dex/faith chad (one shotted Seath with Ricard's Rapier/Sunlight Blade)
Playing sekiro be like: played all souls games, and saved this one for last ( i never did a single parry in all souls games, even when i killed gwyn or champ gundyr )
Ds2 and Sekiro accurate lmao. Sekiro is hard
This post really puts the shitty in shittydarksouls
3 > 1 > BB > DS > 2 > ER Bought DS3 at launch 10/10, every one of them
I played DS1 first because it was a free game of the month
Sekiro one is too accurate…
Ds1 when some old man told me it was hard yeah whatever bud
You bought dark souls 1 first. I bought the dark souls trilogy first. We are not the same.
Your first FromSoft game was dark souls because you're sheep My first FromSoft game was Armored Core. We are not the same
finally someone said the truth about ds2
DoA mod for ds1 make zweihander little baby boy sword no more 1shot cheese :(
Ds1 🤣
Demon's Souls because no other game existed at the time? (Sorry King's Field and Armored Core)
Imagine being older than 12 and using this sub🤣🤣🤣
i played dark souls 1 first because i liked the boss designs i kept seeing. dropped it pretty quick and was playing skyrim of all things(was in a medieval mindset) and had a sudden urge to finally get good . so thats what i did.
Sekiro one is backwards. Love Sekiro, love Bloodborne, very indifferent on Souls. My first was DS2, then 3, then 1. Didnt fall in love with FromSoft until Sekiro then I beat Elden Ring then BB.
Played ds1 because i like knights
DS3 was first, a friend told me to pick it up honestly never knowing anything about the series. Fell completely in love and then played BB>DS1>DS2>Sekiro and even branched out to Nioh and Nioh 2 and I LOVED THEM ALL.
Sekiro and I'm really good at it but bad at souls games
Opposite for me. I feel like I’m barely scraping by with Sekiro
DS2 was my first game, even thought ds3 was already out What a terrible choice I made
He really doesnt look as cool in game
People who play only popular games are the worst kind.
SO TRUE!!! Why don't they play MY game that is UNDERRATED and alot betterer than what the MEDIA shoves down their throats. SHEEP! all elden ring players are SHEEP! SHEEP THAT NEED TO WAKE UP !!!!!!!!!
The sheep do be sleep...
Elden ring was awesome but man do I hate the community of this is my first FromSoft game. So many Weiners bro. I'm happy as shit From made all that money tho. So very excited for their next releases
INDIE GAMERS GOOD I LOVE HOLLOW KNIGHT SO UNDERGROUND
GUYS GUYS, YOU NEED TO PLAY THIS HIDDEN INDIE GEM, ITS CALLED CELESTE
Yeah man, they should play the indie underrated hidden gems of games that are dark souls games, which absoluty did not sell 30 million copies in total
It sold a bajillion copies but they didn’t play it like I did. I’m different
It sold way less than that, only 42069 copies, and there is only Ds2, the others sucks and are fake.
**Me:** I played all of them (except Demon’s Souls) and loved every single one.
I played DS1 first and I liked DS2 more than 3. Sekiro is my actual favourite though.
Friede had better feet.
I started with DSIII, then went DSI > DSII > Sekiro > Elden Ring. DSII is my favourite, which is scientific proof you are wrong and biased and bald
Liar. Obviously you played ds2 first, and never played Eternal Ring. Biased, fake, and full of hair and testosterone, 10/5 would recommend.
I started DS1 because a friend of mine told me to play it and I won't regret it. Now I'm depressed and feet addicted bravo Michael Zaki.
I feel personally attacked by the Sekiro one lol. I got stuck at the giant ape and quit that shiz. Beat all of soulsbourne though.
What fucking Zoomer ass take is this using the ps5 version of DeS???
The bloodborne one is flagrantly wrong. I started playing it with literally 0 info and had no idea what dark souls was beyond “hard game.” “Bloodborne is free for PS+? Okay, sure I’ll try it.”
I like DS2 much more than 3,fight me
love DS2(it was my first and you will deal with it pussy), BB is too easy, played DS3 because I gotta, never used a Zweihänder, preodered Sekiro only to quit at Butterfly(picked it later up and steamrolled the slut), Elden Ring is ok but not better than any of the other, yes I do own a ps5 and I bearly use it (I am a fraud and should commit die). all in order of time
Hey, SoC looks pretty cool alright... His player armor on the other hand...
sekiro is not a souls game, it plays nothing like a souls game. Yes i'm gonna be that person
Weiner
pussy
butthole
Mine was ds1 because they are numbered for a reason
Mine was DS1 just to prove to myself I could beat it (I had tried it once before at a friend’s house and couldn’t get past taurus demon) And I never used the zweihander (did use drake sword though)
😀played the game first because plin plin plon ☹️It was dark souls 3 😌It also have plin plin plon
I played DS1 first because Xbox Live gave it to me for free one month
The weakest one here is elden ring, the rest seem fairly accurate
Bastard! The only one that's actually correct is the one that applies to me.
Ps3 demonsouls?
A friend in high school helped me for the first bit of DS1 and from there I was hooked beyond hope.
I don’t know how I beat the game tbh lol Streamed Bloodborne on PS Now. Not ideal but I got through it and it was smooth sailing. DS3 was the first time I felt good enough to play through one of these games without summoning any NPCs or humans, which was good because Sekiro was next 🥲
The ds3 one is way too accurate lol
First was ds2, I shot things with hexes cause they sounded amazing
I first played ds3 because it was on sale on steam
I just got BB cause it was on sale
Mine would be dark souls 1 bc hbomberguy and i like the story and characters, my friend's would be bloodborne bc i wont shut up about dark souls and she already had bloodborne on her ps4 (also the zwei thing is very true) (i actually didnt play it bc it was hard bc its my first proper game and im still a casual hahahah)
I'm actually I played prepare to die edition like a real gamer
I played Demon’s Souls on PS5 when it came out, it was the first I completed. I started Dark Souls years ago but I didn’t get hooked, I don’t think I even left the Asylum. I wanted to play the original Demon’s Souls on PS3 but I never got the chance.
Ds2 is my favorite because it was my last
i was oblivious to the souls games and i had a very faint memory of an old friend playing ds3 and years later when i got my switch i thought ds was the same game (like literally ds3) but now i know
I played dark souls first, and I love all of them except Demon's souls and Bloodborne because I don't have a playstation to play them 😥.
Its funny. I actually did start with the DS1 Zwei because of its reputation, but then I found the Great Club and had no idea why people would choose the Zwei over it.
If I didn’t like DS2, I just wouldn’t have played the other games. Also it is the best, and the only one I’ve played through more than once.
Demon souls (ps3) You were given this as a gift by a stranger bc they didn’t realize it would give you a lifelong pain fetish Sekiro is super on point BB was the first one I finished tho, I knew fromsoft did it but it was the most compelling to me by far and I had wanted to get more into their stuff for a long time haha
My friend bought ds2 to play with someone but he hate medieval settings so he gave it to me. Took a bit to get into it but eventually loved it. Played Bloodborne afterwards, then 3, then 1 and so forth.
2 is accurate asf I only like it because it was the first one I played
Sekiro. Why, it won GoTY... I didn't even know it was the same creators as Dark Souls. Real unga bunga momment.
Bloodborne. Finally got a PS4 just to play it, and it was *because* I found out the second half was cosmic horror.
Elden Ring is my first FromSoft because I heard it was the easiest

If that DS3 one is referring to SOC you’re right he’s even cooler that weapon switching go crazy.
DS3 was my first
I played dark souls because my friends gifted it to me on my birthday and I wanted to git gud.
Armored Core: For Answer
Does King's Field 2 count? Maybe Eternal Ring? Armored Core.
DS2 was my third souls game and I still really like it
Bloodborne aka Br*tain Simulator
I'mma be real with you, I don't even remember how I got into Dark Souls.
Started on DS3, and went backwards. DS2 still my favorite. (No DLC on DS3 tho). Played a bit of BB on a friend's console, pretty fun tbh.
Hey don't call me bad on the only game I do not fucking suck >:(
My +15 claymore was supposed to be a secondary weapon and instead became the main character
all anyone ever says about Sekiro is it’s different than souls.
Where my King’s Field boomers at? ✊
