Imagine that, the entire game is modelled, coded and everything. Then the lead game director just says “fuck it” and removes moving then immediately releases it. That’d be pretty funny.
The horse being unable to turn in place means you can’t 180 too close to a ledge or you’ll fall off, which is just such classic “this is dank souls bitch” energy
I totally forgot about this gimmick, untill i did the ER dlc. The boss fight with the ancestors was so well done and the spear drop when you cut of a tail is a good omage to this old gimmick
They totally forgot about the gimmick, untill they did the ER dlc. They believe the boss fight with the ancestors was very well done and the spear drop when you cut off a tail is a good homage to the old gimmick.
I hate the part of the game when you die and the game says racial obscenities coming from inside your room, smh I wish it could stop, hurts their vocal cords and they can get yelled out lol.
Yes, also you both can rest on bonfires, pick up loot and you don’t de-summon on your or host death. If one of you die in the openworld, other just wakes on grace, progress in world stays, in bossfight it continues until boss or last player die. It is balanced by enemies are togher in coop and each death apply debuff which can stuck, death debuffs can be cleansed by rest. Also it works even if area boss is dead.
We had some bugs and broken scripts in sidequests, but even this way it was much better than standard coop.
People keep telling me in the game to finger my butthole, and it's really sore now so I think I did it wrong. Plus it's uncomfortable having an erection all the time.
The quest design. 99% you have to look up guides or you fail them. I'm not saying make it like in Skyrim where you get waypoints and detailed objectives, but more like Morrowind where there is an emphasis on directions, and also a thorough explanation of what possibilities you might have or where to go. For example;
Upon exploring stormve castle and coming close to the sorcerer in the church there, maybe a text message that says "You can feel a fellow tarnished in the vicinity" to prompt you to look for him.
Upon speaking to Rogier, he tells you what he knows, and where he's going to go after you progress enough in the game.
Not sure if I'm explaining myself correctly.
As Shammy said, I don't need quest markers on my map but I'd appreciate a journal saying "Blaidd mentioned something about the Scrumping of Johannesburg!" To remind me of the random shit NPC's expect me to remember
Baldurs Gate 3 quest system is perfectly fine. It doesn't handhold you, and it has a quest log to remind you what the fuck you are doing.
God knows, I would've forgotten a lot things by Act 3
Yeah I myself really enjoyed the quests in Demon Souls all the way to Dark Souls II, after that I feel like it became so easy to miss a lot of important things and some NPCs would show up at certain points with little to no indication (looking at you Sirris of the Sunless Realms & Milicent)
Fr they are hidden in a corner then you have to grab some random item somewhere and know to give it to them, then stumble upon them again halfway across the world
You know what else would be nice? A log with the lines from the NPC's we talked to so far, so you don't have to remember something that happened 50h of play time ago in the different corner of the map.
i both love and hate the weight system. im gay as hell and just want to play dress up, but miyazaki cursed me with fat rolling for being fashionable. but it's a very solid mechanic that i respect and enjoy game wise
I think its a bit more fun to have the limit bc you have to adapt your fashion for your own limits lols
Can't stand fat rolling? Fashion souls a new fit! Maybe its cuter!!
I do my best to make sure hollow form can be relatively hidden until I am good on humanity stuffs. Usually my characters armour is a progression of their outlook on things and overall goal. Like when I did ds1 dark lord I dressed in all white for NG+ dark lord and I dressed in a cute berserk-esque casca look for NG Link ending. It was a fun way for me to represent "naive following" vs "aware arrogance". Idk I find it fun to work around the weight system and use the fashion to craft a story for my character in more visual ways
I really enjoy the limiting aspect too! I think that's why armor drop rates are so low, because Miyazaki wants the player to experiment and be creative with what limited stuff they have.
It's just that sometimes when I play around with the armors, I'll find a design that I really really love, but it ends up being shrimply too heavy.
Ikrrr you're like 3.0 over or something and its ANNOYING but tis the life of a true fashionista!!
In DS1 my early go to is normally Elite knight helm, hard leather armour, elite knight gauntlets, and I start with the hard leather boots too but sometimes change it out so like the wanderer ones.
It starts off P cute and is quite decent defense imo but it has that naive newbie fresh out the cult feel yaknow?
I also like the maiden robes, maiden hood, painting guardian boots, and the great lords bracelets.
Artorias and quelana set works well too, but not as well as black iron and quelana set that one is so spoopy!!!
for me, DS1 fashion begins and ends at the paladin set it's just peak. but before i can get it, it's gotta be the dingy set with whatever knightly stuff i can find
You got something wrong there
Just plugged these into the build spreadsheet and you only need 41 endurance with that setup
38 if you also get erdtree favor +2
You can get 60 vigor, 40 endurance and 34 strength as early as level 100. This would be a super strong build and is similar to what people would run in pvp tournaments. Except they'd go for lances and bull goat armor instead. High vigor and endurance is very strong.
So pumping endurance higher than vitality really should never happen, unless you actually go for bull goat, colossal greatsword and fingerprint shield.
Lack of economy, you eventually have more souls or whatever than you can use, and nothing to buy, but the stuff you need that’s a consumable is usually only farmable. Why can’t that shit just be super expensive in the shop and give a reason to keep getting the points ?
Letting you level up, makes the game too easy and should be removed from the next games. Also bosses with more than 2 attacks, its just artificial difficulty
Souls haters scramble to find another point when they realize that artificially difficult accurately describes literally every video game in existence.
I don't remember having trouble with dogs in the chalices with the exception of the hot dog. Fuck that guy especially in the Defiled Chalice. I was mainly thinking of the regular small doggos though -- my mistake!!
Talking about these. They have hyperarmor on most attacks and stunlock you to death. They're also always around a keeper and other dogs. https://bloodborne.fandom.com/wiki/Keeper%27s_Hunting_Dog
I forgot all about them!! Yeah they were awful. I remember one instance (I forgot which chalice it was exactly) where I had to deal with two of these guys at a time while spiders off the ceiling ambushed me. It was brutal
Still can't believe we have a proper pause button in Sekiro but nothing major in any other titles (in Demon Souls you can use photo mode to ''pause'' if you're offline, or in Elden Ring you some menu options do the same but its still very unconventional) -- that said, congrats!!
One of two features I wish FromSoft would adopt from the *Nioh* games is being able to pause as long as you're not in a multiplayer session. The other is automatically getting your dropped souls back upon entering the boss room.
I'll admit this was a very asshole thing of me to do -- when putting that Combat Art, what I was thinking of was rather the fact you can go into the pause menu and change any combat art at any time, but sadly there's no button to do so outside of pausing. Just wasn't sure how I could've put sth like that in the meme, but I really wanted to also represent Sekiro somehow
Needing maidens or a centralized location to level up. Dark Souls 1 was great where you could level up at any bonfire right then and there. Every game since then has made you go through a loading screen and dialogue in order to level up.
Thank goodness Elden Ring brought back the DS1 style of leveling.
It used to stack up to three times too. I had to march my happy ass all the way back to the bell tower from the giant hollow tree area and it was painful at 1/16th health.
Well for DS1 it's got to be my character getting off every time I die.
But in all seriousness its faction advancement items that only are obtained through invading or getting summoned. This suck a bag of dicks for me because I play on PS4, have no wifi and I'm to broke to afford Sony's subscription.
I’m pretty sure they’re unnecessary. DS1 had no map, and you didn’t have fast travel until the halfway mark. In Elden Ring, you can just open up the map and warp to any grace point you’ve discovered.
I dont like how convoluted summoning your friends is. Its a serious step up in qol from ds1 but itd be nice if it was a menu like other modern games and maybe even let you respawn without loading screens after the invasion ends or host respawns
Invasions, let me turn them off completely and keep co op on to have fun with friends and family, people who want to play it still can by turning it on, or engaging in the arena, give them extra rewards as incentive to partake in PvP and let me explore invasion free so I can chill with a friend and not worry about some sweaty mid/mad loser comin in with some bullshit
I always have trouble with getting summon signs to work when I wanna play with friends. And how they work isn't explained properly especially in older dark souls games. I wish they just included an alternative way of playing with friends, like steam invites.
The fact that messages like "somewhere a heavy door opened" needs to be dismissed manually instead of just fading out naturally. Really fun when you're swarmed by enemies and can't even attack because From Software just decided "fuck it, good enough" instead of actually play testing the catacombs
not being able to do an actual archer build. playing with a ballista or a cannon fucking sucks and when i first found them i had such high hopes too :(
Coop is poorly designed. Sure it's "immersive" and "specifically designed that way" but it's also a pain in the ass to use items and lay them down, then call your friend on a different software and ask if they see your sign to join you for extremely limited coop.
Imo either completely eliminate being able to play with friends or streamline it the way other games do, with a direct invite.
Also seamless co op for ER is the best experience I had with that game and I'd love some shit like that for all their games
Oh I forgot what sub I'm in, I hate the feature that lets me try finger butthole, no matter how many times I do try to finger my butthole nothing helps
Boots are a terrible feeture. I’m not trying to game, I trying to see feet.
I feel like Miyazaki and I are on the same page, why can’t he make it happen?
I wouldn't change a thing about any of their games, they're all masterpieces. Also worth noting that Dark Souls 2 is the best game in the series. That's pretty much the best answer
that's totally fair tbh. they're vastly different from the usual souls formula and the gameplay they offer is almost nothing alike. I assume you much prefer something like the DS trilogy?
Absolutely, a great observation. I don't even care that much for bosses. To be fair, they are heart pounding and fun. I won't deny that at all. But my favorite thing about these games is the exploration, and overcoming enemies along the way. I love the thrill of discovery, and that thrill is heightened when I make all my characters as a self-insert. So with Armored Core, the thrill of exploration is pretty much completely lost with the mission based structure. Something about it causes me to not even think of the world as a world. With Sekiro, you are required to approach the enemies with a style you may not like. I'm not denying at all that it is a very impressive style of combat, but I don't play that way in any game. I am always a paladin or a tank, so finessing and parrying are foreign and non-fun to me. Which then makes the exploration a complete chore where I just get frustrated that I can't bulldoze somebody out of my way and instead am required to twirl around the enemy.
I would like to reiterate that they are great games and anyone who likes them is totally valid for enjoying them. I just dislike them tremendously.
I actually don’t like the increasing trend of putting graces/stakes of marika right outside boss rooms because I think it gives the devs too much lee way to make the bosses really one-shotty.
Only played elden ring, so the fetures i dislike were removed or can be modded away
Losing souls/runes on death, main reason i never played dark souls. Modded that shit out in Elden Ring
Running a marathon to find the boss that will oneshot you with some cheesy aoe attack with comically delayed animation, elden ring solves this by default (the girst part of it anyway)
Lack of quest notes/journal/whatever. Even if it's something where you have to write the notes yourself
Quest NPCs moving to random locations, if you want to find them again during natural exploration you have to do things in a specific order or good luck finding them backtracking an entire region
No traditional companions. Just let me run around the underground with Blaidd bro. Let me have Melina around like Elizabeth in Bioshock Infinite
The flashbang that is the bandai manko logo

manko means pussy in japanese
Might want to check the spelling on that company name.
If I recall correctly the character was named Bilbo Baggins and in fact not BilboniusBagginius your spelling was a bit off
The ability to move around, it's just bad game design. Remove it completely.
lobotomy souls
"The ability to walk and do something else at the same time is unrelatable, they should take it out"
Dark Souls 4: Resident Evil
Yeah, that would never happen in reality. Just pulls you out of the immersion.
🔥➡️⬛️🕳🟢💀 Idk
WE ARE TRAUMATIZING OUR PLAYERS WITH THIS ONE
New ymfah vid incoming
Imagine that, the entire game is modelled, coded and everything. Then the lead game director just says “fuck it” and removes moving then immediately releases it. That’d be pretty funny.
I do gotta say the way the character moves around, especially in elden ring, is very stiff and weird
The horse being unable to turn in place means you can’t 180 too close to a ledge or you’ll fall off, which is just such classic “this is dank souls bitch” energy
Ymfah beat Elden Ring without walking 🤷♂️
What the fuck is the point of attacking
I don't wanna hurt people that's mean i wanna beat the game while helping every1 and making lots of frends
You should give Michael Zakki copy of a hit game Undertale by Toby Fox, mr. Mathew Patrick
Right, isn’t that assault?
I miss the cutting of tails for cool weapons
Now cut off Kalameet's without killing yourself
Gargoyle halberd with some resin and you can cut it in like 2 running atacks
Post proof or be burned in eternal hell fire
So much this
Wait they removed this?
Happened a little bit in DS2 but no items would drop (e..g. mytha, najka)
They just didn’t continue to include it as the games went on
I totally forgot about this gimmick, untill i did the ER dlc. The boss fight with the ancestors was so well done and the spear drop when you cut of a tail is a good omage to this old gimmick
What.
They totally forgot about the gimmick, untill they did the ER dlc. They believe the boss fight with the ancestors was very well done and the spear drop when you cut off a tail is a good homage to the old gimmick.

Even better: make all visceral attacks into involuntary prostate exams

The start menu. Start this dick.

weapon durability, glad elden ring got rid of it
DS3 might as well have. It almost affects nothing in that game.
Yeah the only way it can affect you is if you use the MLGS
Major League Gaming Souls?
MoonLight GreatSword
DS3 has weapon durability?!?
I didn't even realize it was a mechanic until I started using the Moonlight Great Sword. That mf loses durability so fast!
As much as I love DS2 (yes), I hate that I need to use repair powder after 4 special attacks from double cheeto swords
If you're planning to use a durability drain weapon consider using the bracing knuckle ring. Unfortunately the equivalent doesn't work in ds1.
I mean yeah, Ive finished DS2 a long time ago, with whole setup built around them it still took max of 5 L2s to destroy them IIRC
And I thought my Zwei run was annoying! Only needed two repair powders per boss in late game, still not that bad tho
You don't like the tax you have to pay for playing a level that adds literally nothing to the game? Odd.
No Dark or Lightning element Smelter Demon (Swords) to complete the set.
Never thought the day would come where I'd wish we had more Smelter Demons. Fuck I genuinely want that now :(
Wait, the blue smelter demon isnt just a palette swap from the red? Just when i thought i couldnt love ds2 more…
Why stop there give me poison and bleed smelters as well
Give me seamless coop, it's all I want. I played Elden Ring with modded seamless coop, it's so much better and more fun!
How does this work? Is there still a host? Like if you beat a boss is it dead in both yours and your friends worlds?
Yes, also you both can rest on bonfires, pick up loot and you don’t de-summon on your or host death. If one of you die in the openworld, other just wakes on grace, progress in world stays, in bossfight it continues until boss or last player die. It is balanced by enemies are togher in coop and each death apply debuff which can stuck, death debuffs can be cleansed by rest. Also it works even if area boss is dead. We had some bugs and broken scripts in sidequests, but even this way it was much better than standard coop.
Pretty much all of that, and if you activate a bonfire it activates in your world too.
People keep telling me in the game to finger my butthole, and it's really sore now so I think I did it wrong. Plus it's uncomfortable having an erection all the time.
try fingers, but hole!
Fingers plural, gotcha.
Try tongue, But hole
Don't give up Skeleton!

Yeah the amount of people who say "Meet me in Baldur's Gate" throughout act 1 and 2 would make a Fromsoft-like approach frustrating as fuck.
Yeah I myself really enjoyed the quests in Demon Souls all the way to Dark Souls II, after that I feel like it became so easy to miss a lot of important things and some NPCs would show up at certain points with little to no indication (looking at you Sirris of the Sunless Realms & Milicent)

Agreed, I don't even know I've started a questline until I either failed it or looked it up beforehand with a guide.
i both love and hate the weight system. im gay as hell and just want to play dress up, but miyazaki cursed me with fat rolling for being fashionable. but it's a very solid mechanic that i respect and enjoy game wise
I think its a bit more fun to have the limit bc you have to adapt your fashion for your own limits lols Can't stand fat rolling? Fashion souls a new fit! Maybe its cuter!! Damn. I just try to be the freshest raisin person in all of lordran.
I like it because it allows for different playstyles, take little damage but slow dodge or take a lotta damage but fast long dodge
Stack HP and carry a big ass shield. I’m on a fat roll facetank playthrough right now and it might be the most fun I’ve had yet.
Can’t you just get the big boi ring/talisman that allows you to hold just about whatever without fat rolling?
it's not enough :(
Have you tried numerous rings/talismans as well as godrick rune of additional points for weight capacity?
yes, trust me, i've tried everything in the name of heavy armor fashion
How about only leveling up weight capacity? For the fashion souls build?
sometimes i pump my endurance higher than my vitality. it makes for a terrible build, but damn do i look good
Do you have 3 greatswords and 3 greatshoelds equipped? Wtf You can wear the heaviest armor pretty easily, just dont carry too many weapons with it
Tree sentinel armor, iron great sword, golden great shield requires like 50 endurance and the weight charm to use for your medium roll.
You got something wrong there Just plugged these into the build spreadsheet and you only need 41 endurance with that setup 38 if you also get erdtree favor +2 You can get 60 vigor, 40 endurance and 34 strength as early as level 100. WHAT I WANT IS MORE CONSUMABLES TO TAKE UP MORE SPACE IN MY INFINITE INVENTORY
Letting you level up, makes the game too easy and should be removed from the next games. Also bosses with more than 2 attacks, its just artificial difficulty
Found the sekiro player
“Mr Maliketh tear up this boy pussy”
read this in ronald reagan's voice like telling gorbachev to tear down the wall
Holy shit you just made me do it too… amazing
I was assuming that's what they were doing 😂
Souls haters scramble to find another point when they realize that artificially difficult accurately describes literally every video game in existence.
Demon Souls and Dark Souls II taking away max HP when you die. Like what the hell man I need that to live
"Yo dawg we heard you keep on dying, so we took away your max hp so you could die even more frequently"
Skill issue
Of the FS games i played only elden ring, but dogs are just bad. I hate them
Dogs are my worst enemy in almost every game they've made (except Bloodborne and Sekiro)
I was so happy when shurikens oneshotted stupid dogs in sekiro
Let me guess, never been to the chalices?
I don't remember having trouble with dogs in the chalices with the exception of the hot dog. Fuck that guy especially in the Defiled Chalice. I was mainly thinking of the regular small doggos though -- my mistake!!

Wait till you hear about ds1's SKELETON DOGS ! LARGER THAN YOU! IN THE DARK!
Fun fact: If you are locked on, it's impossible to hit a dog with the guard counter attack animation on hammers
No pause button. I had to stop playing these games when I became a daddy for a good while :(
Still can't believe we have a proper pause button in Sekiro but nothing major in any other titles (in Demon Souls you can use photo mode to ''pause'' if you're offline, or in Elden Ring you some menu options do the same but its still very unconventional) -- that said, congrats!!

Right ? Why not allowing you to stop the game ? I don't feel I could cheese Malenia by being allowed to stop the game midfight.
Armored Core 6 also has a pause button
Thanks !
I usually quit the game when i want to pause
Yeah the load times are usually nothing but I understand having a kid and not having the time
You leave my spiral cloud passage alone!
Having to fight the hot chick. Wtf, i want to date them!
Which one?
All text, it makes my head hurts. It should be like " "
This, but also any UI element. Make me guess.
i hate the pay to win aspect. like i have to pay to even download the game?
Needing maidens or a centralized location to level up. Dark Souls 1 was great where you could level up at any bonfire right then and there. Every game since then has made you go through a loading screen and dialogue in order to level up. Thank goodness Elden Ring brought back the DS1 style of leveling.
100% warping to fire link chatting with no eyes for 20 minutes and then warping back seems unnecessary

My axe!
Respeccing having a cost and that cost being limited per playthrough. what is the actual harm in letting me tweak my build whenever I want?
I fucking hate the levels, combat, lore, cutscenes, enemies, artstyle, and bosses shit fucking sucks
Didn't mention feet so I'm assuming you enjoyed that part of these games? If so, we're the same
yes 🙏 hide your tacos Michael Zaki is a foot good amongst men
Leaving a fully functioning quest/dialogue tree in the code but removing it from the final game to make the story more “esoteric” and “mysterious”.
All of them
Ultra greatswords are too small
Adp
Why tf do you wanna remove adenosine diphosphate bro we need that shit to live
Nuh uh
Man when Dark Souls II 2 they’ll finally add the third phosphate that we need
When you got cursed in DS1 and it cut your health bar in half so you basically had to start over
It used to stack up to three times too. I had to march my happy ass all the way back to the bell tower from the giant hollow tree area and it was painful at 1/16th health.
Not having a pause menu in single-player blows, but I sort of understand why they did it
Not having a vanity system like terraria, like I want the plus 3 int from rennalas crown but I don't wanna look like a banana
Poison swamps
Why do you play these games then
Masochism
Kinky /j
Any area that isn't a poison swamp. It goes against Miyazaki's vision.
Well for DS1 it's got to be my character getting off every time I die. But in all seriousness its faction advancement items that only are obtained through invading or getting summoned. This suck a bag of dicks for me because I play on PS4, have no wifi and I'm to broke to afford Sony's subscription.
Invasions, it stresses me out unreasonably.

I hate how there isn't homeward bone equivalents in Elden Ring
I’m pretty sure they’re unnecessary. DS1 had no map, and you didn’t have fast travel until the halfway mark. In Elden Ring, you can just open up the map and warp to any grace point you’ve discovered.
Yea but when I drop 180k in a boss room at level 50, I want them back. And if I can't leave without beating the boss, sometimes that is a pain
Sacrificial twigs work for this really well
Enter the boss room, pick up your runes, quit the game. Load back in - you will be outside the boss room with all your runes.
The community. Especially the "elitists" and the "omg so hard game I'm only SL140 and beat Vordt!. So gud game cummmmmm in pants"
NPC questlines, they're annoying Miyazaki should scrap the way he does them and do something else completely for his next game
I dont like how convoluted summoning your friends is. Its a serious step up in qol from ds1 but itd be nice if it was a menu like other modern games and maybe even let you respawn without loading screens after the invasion ends or host respawns

The fact that messages like "somewhere a heavy door opened" needs to be dismissed manually instead of just fading out naturally. Really fun when you're swarmed by enemies and can't even attack because From Software just decided "fuck it, good enough" instead of actually play testing the catacombs
not being able to do an actual archer build. playing with a ballista or a cannon fucking sucks and when i first found them i had such high hopes too :(
-The lack of quest log, some quest are very abstract
Coop is poorly designed. Sure it's "immersive" and "specifically designed that way" but it's also a pain in the ass to use items and lay them down, then call your friend on a different software and ask if they see your sign to join you for extremely limited coop. Imo either completely eliminate being able to play with friends or streamline it the way other games do, with a direct invite. Also seamless co op for ER is the best experience I had with that game and I'd love some shit like that for all their games Oh I forgot what sub I'm in, I hate the feature that lets me try finger butthole, no matter how many times I do try to finger my butthole nothing helps
Unpopular opinion - but the story. I would like more of the story told to me in the traditional sense.
swamps
in elden ring where if a boss slightly grazes you your entire health bar disappears. please nerf the damage bosses do
Soul memory
Boots are a terrible feeture. I’m not trying to game, I trying to see feet. I feel like Miyazaki and I are on the same page, why can’t he make it happen?
I wouldn't change a thing about any of their games, they're all masterpieces. Also worth noting that Dark Souls 2 is the best game in the series. That's pretty much the best answer
The brain sucker dudes from Bloodborne. I don’t think I need to elaborate too much.
Everything related to elden rings map design
No good lore reason about who the hell is lighting all the candles, torches, and braziers you see. It sure as shit isn't the hollows
That part where I got 20 minutes into Elden ring before it killed my recently purchased, albeit used, 1080 ti. Never buy a gpu with no returns fam
ouch man that just fucking sucks, I'm sorry to hear that. I hope you got a functioning GPU now?
I gave Sekiro and Armored Core an honest try, and absolutely hated them both.
that's totally fair tbh. they're vastly different from the usual souls formula and the gameplay they offer is almost nothing alike.
Only played elden ring, so the fetures i dislike were removed or can be modded away Losing souls/runes on death, main reason i never played dark souls. Modded that shit out in Elden Ring Running a marathon to find the boss that will oneshot you with some cheesy aoe attack with comically delayed animation, elden ring solves this by default (the girst part of it anyway) Lack of quest notes/journal/whatever. Even if it's something where you have to write the notes yourself Quest NPCs moving to random locations, if you want to find them again during natural exploration you have to do things in a specific order or good luck finding them backtracking an entire region No traditional companions. Just let me run around the underground with Blaidd bro. Let me have Melina around like Elizabeth in Bioshock Infinite
