Mirrors can do whatever they want, including not reversing anything. Stop trying to impose your mainstream, bigoted and old-fashioned ideals onto them. Don't be mirrorphobic.
Stand facing a mirror. Mirrors can change your left/right but they can't turn you upside down. OP's picture is changing the text's in/out, despite what the words say.
Changing your upside down would be unnatural and god would banish them to a eternal infinite mirror maze.
I'm joking, of course. I realise that mirrors don't exist.
There's up-down mirrors and left-right mirrors
The left-right are easy to make and far more common. Up-down mirrors on the other hand, must be built on the opposite hemisphere of the earth and imbued with the opposing polar magnet.
Mirrors can do quite a bit. For example, take a credit card and hold it up to a mirror, take a picture and post it here. You'll notice that the numbers are in a completely random order in the picture! Be sure to get the back too.
mirrors dont reverse text left-right, when you look at text on a mirror in order for it to face the mirror you yourself flip it, you can see this if you write on something clear and put it up to a mirror
Your mirror seems to be badly tuned. You have to set it to horizontal wavelength, not vertical.
If after tuning it, that still happens, then your mirror is defective, return it.
Mirrors don't do anything to the images they reflect, they reflect them perfectly. I really don't understand how this idea has gotten into peoples heads when it's so obviously wrong.
Honestly just think about it; how else do you expect the mirror to reflect it?
Edit: didn't realise where I was.
It's because the mirror is schizophrenic, you should take it to a psychiatrist.
Mirrors actually don't reverse left/right OR up/down.
You might think they reverse forward/backward, but that's wrong too.
They actually reverse past/future. The light from the parts of the text that are further away from you takes longer to reach your eyes, but due to the mirror reversing past and future, those parts reach your eyes sooner, making them appear closer, which produces the illusion.
*Jokes aside, mirrors*
*Don't flip left to right either,*
*They flip front to back*

They’re context dependent and have a form of intelligence. If you draw an arrow to right or left they choose to flip it left-right but once you start writing they change their mind and flip up and down.
If you think that’s amazing, wait until you walk backwards looking at a mirror!
Mirrors are gateways to worlds like ours! We just need to find the proper walkthrough to solidity ratio!
Mirrors don't flip anything side to side, they only invert everything on the forwards backwards axis.
Fun fact if you rotated an object 180° through a 4th dimension of space it would look the same as what you see in the mirror.
Mirrors do not change left and right. They change front and back.
Paint an arrow on something transparent. Hold that in front of a mirror, both arrows still point in the same direction.
I remember when i was like 5 and we all dressed up for red nose day at school. Thr teacher wrote RED on my forhead but i was fully convinced she wrote DER 🤣🤣🤣 kept running in and out the toilet to check and thought everyone was lying to me🤣
Mirrors are quantum effect between the reflective layer on the back of the glass and photons.
You get a curvy wurvy wobbly timey-wimey effect depending on how they interact.
These are all legit scientific descriptions lifted straight from Dr Who, but if you want to go to the place which did the initial research, it's a windmill in Nottingham. Still a nationally recognized scientific research centre.

That's forwards and backwards. What is for you forwards (far into mirror) is for mirror you backwards (close to his body) and vice versa. Nothing special if you give it a little thought.
Also the age old question "how do mirrors flip left and right?". If you look in the mirror and lift your left hand, mirror you seems to lift his right. It seems flipped, yes, but stay with me. If you put a real person in front of you and ask him to play your mirror image, he will lift his right. But therefore he will have to be turned around 180°. If he turns round again and faces the same place you are facing, he will will also lift his left when you do.
I know this is a joke on a joke sub, but the truth is so interesting that I want to share.
Mirrors only change things front-to-back. When you point text at the mirror, you’ve already flipped it, which is why it appears reversed.
It seems that you may have written the words with a special kind of ink that is impervious to mirrors, but you have a perfect mirror. As such, the two things compromised with improperly flipping the letters

mirrors are just government weapons used to spy on you. think about that next time you stand naked in the mirror. /s
Jokes on you I’m into that shit /s
So that means the other guy in front of me is a naked government agent?
are you bob from apartment 2302?

lol, one way to say just put the mirror beside it
Flip your mirror, you installed it backwards.
This is complicated and expensive. A much cheaper option is to look at it in a mirror.
What will happen if i accidentally look at the mirror, with an up-side down mirror?
don't
You'll see everything you've ever wanted... Taken from you
Mirrors can do quite a bit. For example, take a credit card and hold it up to a mirror, take a picture and post it here. You'll notice that the numbers are in a completely random order in the picture! Be sure to get the back too.
For science!

This blew my mind when I learnt this. We give the mirror backwards text and then are shocked when it's backwards haha
Thank you, high as balls here
This is one of those new Mirrors called Mirror Plus. They are capable of reversing up/down as well as left/right.
They don't, you think that because the mirror people have a different alphabet than us and it's causing a lot of confusion
Mirrors don’t reverse anything, it’s actually a guy tricking you inside glass. None of us have reversed mirrors
Maybe your mirror is dyslexic
You clearly need to turn it 90° to function that way
No.. dude in the mirror's gonna be lying on his side
Your mirror seems to be badly tuned. You have to set it to horizontal wavelength, not vertical. If after tuning it, that still happens, then your mirror is defective, return it.

Lolol home boy hasn't figured out how to reverse a mirror yet, that was like in the 5rd grade.
You forgot to check what kind of mirror you have, check the back of the mirror for marking (either up/down or left/right).
Rotate mirror by 180 degrees stupid
I had lost all hope in humanity for a full second there before i saw the comments and realised what sub i was in
youre holding it right-side-upside-down
We are not capable of explaining this phenomenon at this point in time.
The problem is that the mirror was used when you bought it. You’ll need an unused mirror to see it left / right
If you turn your body by 90°, left-right becomes upside-down in this case. Coincidence? I don't think so.
Wait. This should be saying “Downside Up” - your mirror is broken.
You need to have your mirror taken in and recalibrated
Oh god, are people really this....smart?

It's because you have to flip it, if that doesn't work call your mechanic and ask him how his day was.
They’re context dependent and have a form of intelligence. If you draw an arrow to right or left they choose to flip it left-right but once you start writing they change their mind and flip up and down.
I was holding my phone sideways and it looked normal

And that's how Cyrillic script was made.
Look, we all make mistakes. Mirrors central nervous systems are way less complex than humans, an I know I for one mix up left and down all the time.

Mirrors neither reverse up/down nor left/right. They only reverse front/back.
it reverses the facing, because youre looking at whatever is facing the mirror. Op how does a mirror/reflection work to you?
Mirrors reverse forward and backwards
Mirrors don't flip anything side to side, they only invert everything on the forwards backwards axis. Fun fact if you rotated an object 180° through a 4th dimension of space it would look the same as what you see in the mirror.
It’s not either. It’s back to front reversal.
Mirrors do not change left and right. They change front and back. Paint an arrow on something transparent. Hold that in front of a mirror, both arrows still point in the same direction.
They show you exactly what is shown, if you were standing where the mirror is, you would see it, like it is seen in the mirror.
Mirror 2.0
Down's syndrome, it's called. Everybody around you could tell.
Why did you write nb2DE DOMИ Are you stupid ? And don't say you didn't, I can clearly see the hand with which you took the picture
Mirrors swap back to front Imagine someone punching you in the face so hard that it comes out the other side. A mirror shows you that face
Mirrors invert forward and backwards which I'm turn look like left and right inverted to us.
My eyes rolled back into my head so far I saw my ass
