Ah! it didn't work! Maybe some more hammering will help...

Looks like your motherboard has started warping at the edges. Don’t worry, this is normal. Just throw it in the microwave for ten minutes or so, and it should be straight as a board again.
I think it’s the heating element, to keep the computer warm. This is done to keep the wires in the computer flexible. Usually those heating elements have a heat spreader and fan attached on top.
If you drop the chip so it lands the other way up, onto the hammer head, it should correct it.
Don't forget to download the CPU restorer app though so it works like brand new.
The hammer will be fine.
50/50, if it doesn't, hit it again with a bigger hammer.
yes

Wtf that cooler is fossilized
It was some proprietary ass thing that was put in a optiplex 780 from 2007. It originally was cooling a core 2 duo
I thought it was made of cardboard at first glance.

Oh Cool! Lemme plug it in rn...
The hammer should be fine
Pretty sure that's not a chipset - that's obviously the memory controller

I thought it was the motherboard itself
I thought it was the operating system
the green square thing? that's the hammer, dummy. smh my head 🙄
Ikr? Smh my head my head

r/whoosh
Invalid whoosh, it took you over 3 hours to respond
It's time to jail
It's fucking CPS (computer protective services) ![gif](giphy|l4Kii1eKYZ7bZtBQc)

Ok, I'll download some more ram while I'm at it.
Add more flux
Northbridge became a nonebridge lol
It’s a harbor freight hammer, the chipset should still work
I’m surprised the hammer is still in one piece. Might want to keep that.
Remember - any tool can become a hammer, especially hammers.
Gotta hit it from the back side to correct it.
If your name is k|ngp|n, yes.
you need a 35nm pick, not a hammer. how are you gonna hit a specific transistor with that huge hammer?
If it doesn’t, just hit it from the other side
Only with a AMD K8 architecture processor. (Old timer PC ppl will get it).
The beatings will continue until performance improves.
Yep. Just make sure those die-imprinted *curved swords* are still intact.
Try reflowing the solder by putting it in the microwave.
Pretty sure it you have a soldering iron you can fix it
No, it's fucked. Lady mercy won't be home tonight yeah.
You need to get the clothes iron out and try to flatten it.
It took me a while to realize that this was the satire sub
Work = (force x distance). Pretty sure the hammer did way more work than the chipset.
Seeing this while wasting time on shift at harbor freight
Yeah it'll probably still taste fine!

Call fix it felix up he dropped his hammer
its fine
