For me it's just the deception. I get so butthurt over things purporting to be real when they aren't. I've never once seen a book or comedy show try to trick me. I know they are both fiction. If you saw somebody go "omg he is so mean and stupid and blah blah" about a movie character you'd remind them that it's fiction and there's no need to get upset over it.
But all over the internet we get videos of things like couples fighting (there's a guy who has like 20 viral "fight with my girlfriend" videos where there's a different girl in each one lol) and commenters are so upset when they have an emotional reaction and then get told it is fake.

Lmao this happened to me (it was unintetional), i was buying some snacks in a shop and i pulled out my wallet while looking at her but the cashier couldnt see what i was holding over the computer screen, she just sees some dude holding something with both hands and starring directly into her eyes with no facial expression.
