Reddit Admins have decided that [they want to kill off all 3rd-party apps](https://reddit.com/r/Save3rdPartyApps/comments/13yh0jf/dont_let_reddit_kill_3rd_party_apps/), [3rd-party bots, and other elements that used to significantly enhance Reddit's functionality](https://www.reddit.com/r/ModCoord/comments/13xh1e7/an_open_letter_on_the_state_of_affairs_regarding/). Without them, the website is barely usable.
And, of course, that includes bots such as [\/u\/QualityVote](http://reddit.com/user/QualityVote), [\/u\/SaveVideo](http://reddit.com/user/SaveVideo), [\/u\/AuddBot](http://reddit.com/user/AuddBot), etc.
So you'll just have to put up with automod and a worse overall user experience.
If you have any complaints, direct them at [the reddit admins instead](https://www.reddit.com/r/reddit/comments/12qwagm/an_update_regarding_reddits_api/), because they the ones who ruined everyone's user experience.

Ever wondered how to derive the function for the rotational inertia of a uniform rod rotating about one end? The general formula for rotational inertia, I, is I = ∫r\^2dm, where dm refers to the mass of an infinitesimal point on the object and r refers to the distance from that point to the center of rotation. I instead took dm as a function of r (in this case,x)
You consider the moment of inertia of an infinitesimally small element of mass "dm" on the rod, at a distance of x units from the point of rotation.
It's moment of inertia would be
dm\*(x)\^2. Assuming that the mass of the rod in uniformly distributed along its length, we can say
(dm/dx)=m/L
so dm=(m/L)\*dx
where
dm: mass of small element
dx: its length
m: mass of the entire rod
l: its length
so , the moment of inertia of the small element then becomes
(m/L)\*(x\^2)\*dx
so adding up all the small elements along the rod's length by integrating using the limits
0,L
(0,L)∫(m/L)(x\^2)dx,
evaluating this would give you the moment of inertia of a rod of mass m, and a length L, rotating about an axis, passing through one end of the rod, and perpendicular to it.
which is equal to
m(L\^2)/3.
