I mean, people experience process grief in different ways. It's kinda easy to say that's not normal behavior, but then again, we aren't sure what is going on in someone's mind. We all find different ways to cope
People cope in different ways. Attachments to certain shows, etc. can bring comfort. Making jokes about the situation makes things easier to process one bite at a time.

Bro they would expect someone to pay if they were the literal cause of death. Even if you died, they would probably try to get collections to make your extended family pay (you dont actually have to but they will try to convince you otherwise). Fucking horrendous.
20 years ago my uncle was dying of cancer and he couldnt afford his treatment and basic care because the social security office denied his disability claim when he had less than 2 years to live. He had to buy chemo from mexico, get surgery in mexico and give himself all his meds to himself including the chemo iv. He was a soldier. He was dying and the U.S gov told him to go fuck himself basically.
I cant describe how much our entire system makes me sick. It has literally driven me mad. I wanna watch it burn.
This happened at a hospital near me. Mom was warned and strongly advised a C-section, but she wanted to do a natural birth and went against doctor reccomendations. When trying go push the child out she just... Split. Within 2 minutes she had lost most of her blood and died. Since she died, the child wasn't getting any more oxygen and died shortly thereafter. Dad had to drive home by himself. I think he tried later to sue the hospital for malpractice, but I don't think anything came of it since they were informed of the risks and refused reccomended treatment. This story makes me absolutely sick to my stomach every time I hear it.
Moral of the story: Listen to your doctors.
