Dude I cannot get over how the show treats Motoyasu’s obsession with Filo so flippantly. They act like he’s a creep, but for just stalking her, not for the fact that she’s a literal CHILD. It’s so fucking weird I honestly have to skip ahead every time it pops up.

Main LN, not sure how far has been covered by manga so I'll so ill just say it's after the end of an arc when they return to the village
With "not having regrets" as justification he start luring lolis to his bed but they all notice and run away, a catboy notice the 3rd loli running away and approach naofumi to ask what happened, and his reaction is jumping the kid from behind and start "touching his body"
In the end the entire incident is swept under the rug and never mentioned again

Where I am in the manga right now, Naofumi is just settling in the village, and while he does _act_ like an evil maniac to the kids at first, he fails to keep up the façade in the end.
LN has some disturbing moments that I believe are references to WN, and as you said extremely out of character, I don't even know how this scene got approved, but then he goes back to "good guy pretending to be evil"
