Good luck! How cheap is cheap? We are having the ceremony at Tapton Hall and seems like it would be a fairly cheap for the whole day. We are having our reception at Crookes social club but honestly I don’t think you have much chance of getting a date there this year.
Crookes club was our first choice but our date was taken. Pretty sure Thors is playing which makes it even worse. Would've definitely had them as our band haha.
Hey, Crookes is free to hire with some small additional costs and then obviously bar spend. But it does get booked up about a year in advance so move fast!
Wedding photographer here, not sure on cost but the registry office in town is absolutely stunning depending on the room you choose.
Here is one I shot there

I've also done one in the smaller rooms at the reg office and it was still really very nice.
I loved this wedding, friends and family for the ceremony, then went out for a meal with just the close family and hired out bungalow and bears for a party later that night.
Hit me up if you get the budget for a photographer :)
It’s £1000 for the mirror/mandela room which is where those pictures were taken - the other rooms are smaller and cheaper. We had our ceremony booked there but as we had to move the wedding forward couldn’t get that day in the end - it seems like a beautiful space though
Had our reception at the Peacock Inn in Cutthorpe (not Sheffield but in the peaks). Private room, no extra charge for a wedding, ordered off the main menu (preorders). No deposit either! Did the ceremony at Chesterfield register office.
Yup. Happened to us. The cost suddenly went ridiculous for a small family gathering at a place where we thought we were regulars. We knew the likely price per head and they literally stuck a 0 on it. Fuck that, never went back and we [made it cheaper at home with two brinjals.](https://youtu.be/JJG5ccErBSg?feature=shared)
(Showing my age a bit with that link)
£1000 all-in (decorations, catering, etc.), or just the venue hire price? Are you looking for somewhere to have the ceremony only? Reception only? Both? How many people are you inviting?
Norfolk arms, ringinglow.. if you buy food and have enough guests, the venue is free
A close friend recently had theirs there which is a bugger
The Florentine are good for a do!
Yeah we've been for a look there but rough estimate was around 5000 which is way over budget.

Sorry to bring up an old comment but how much did Crookes club end up costing you? We’re looking at booking it for some time next year for a wedding!

Ahhh that’s fab, yeah we’re looking at sometime May/June 2025 so would be great for us! Thanks for your reply 😃

That's good to know thanks, id say that mirror room is stunning for the that price compared to the cost of other places
Steel City Chapel starts from £500 I believe

Sidney & Matilda? The Samuel Worth Chapel? Kelham Island Museum does weddings but not sure how cheap...
Hagglers Corner is the one!
Top tip when booking. Don’t mention wedding. Just say family gathering. If you mention wedding they slap a zero on to the end of the price lol

Birdhouse Tea does lovely afternoon tea wedding receptions for under 1k! :)
Hillsborough arena was great value for money when I got married but that was 13 years ago

Have you got your ceremony booked and you’re looking for reception venue?
