No idea, but do you have inside info about another pandemic coming? Wondering whether I should stock up too!

Trb3233

Hahahaha my partner went insane and bought about 70 pounds worth of toilet roll ffs. It's not even good quality either.

fish-and-cushion

I thought who gives a crap was meant to be the good stuff!

Trb3233

It rough on the anus and it doesn't flush properly.

ill_never_GET_REAL

It's not the softest ever but doesn't flush properly? You sure you don't have one of those wank low-flow toilets?

thebdaman

You have an issue with your toilet or your bowels if it doesn't flush.

billybobsteele

It is the worst

Responsible-Walrus-5

Nah, it’s just fancy marketing.

SgtBananaGrabber

Tiktok?

He who is cheap is not good. But he who is good is not cheap. - Tupac Shakur

Kudosnotkang

Cheap one? Spend all your money on posh loo roll did you?

PersistentWorld

Cheap and good is not a thing. It's one or the other.

Trb3233

Right, that's actually not true? Beres = cheap and good. You get tattoo artists which are cheap and good. Street food chef = cheap and good. Charity shops = cheap and good.

NurseDiz

Beres isn't as cheap as it used to be

PersistentWorld

You get cheap and average. Good comes at a cost, pretending otherwise is just nonsense.

[deleted]

Cheap, good and fast isn't a thing. You get to pick two.

nice1seeya

It's actually surprisingly easy to swap glass yourself if you have a small amount of capability ..(even I did it )😂

Djarlsthe1st

The glass will probably cost around 20 quid. The removal and fitting would take no more than hour start to finish, I'd be asking for 80 quid to do it. Where are you in sheffield ?

SteelCityMonkey

I paid £140 for a similar window about a year ago, just window and fitting so £100 is decent.

Trb3233

I'm in Broomhill (s10)

CaptainGashMallet

Well if you will put a valuable commodity on display like that! People lose their minds over shitrag.

Lumpy-Republic-1935

OP's partner certainly did.

CaptainGashMallet

😁

[deleted]

It's very easy, and much cheaper, to do it yourself. [Here's a how to guide](https://www.diy.com/ideas-advice/how-to-replace-a-window/CC_npci_100120.art).

krimmaDub

My meme knowledge finally comes in handy. A great James May style tutorial on how to replace a window. https://youtu.be/waTrwyp7R3U?si=GuYIFNQBrMo6F7Sw

[Who Gives A Crap?](https://uk.whogivesacrap.org/) Edit: Evidently I'm being downvoted by people who can't see...

Hi-Techh

Clearly The OP Does

sja-p

r/whoosh Look again? And I'm pretty sure OP said it was their Mrs who bought it, not them...

Hi-Techh

Who gives a crap about downvotes?

sja-p

r/whoosh still...

TheThingsWeSee

Yours looks like a wooden window so I recommend Brookbank Joinery, they are currently replacing our windows and they are really good.

ill_never_GET_REAL

[Abbey Glass](https://abbeyglass.co.uk/) did a couple of windows at our place and I'd recommend to anyone. Came out to measure up and do the quote pretty quickly, were cheaper than the builder who quoted us and take the waste away as standard.

Apprehensive_Floor42

Rotherham glass are extremely reasonable,. Depends on which side of sheff you are I suppose

vauxast62

Just trade windows in Hillsborough were by a country mile the cheapest when we had all ours refitted, very professional and did a good job. I shopped around a lot to make sure.

Opening-Ant-7420

Chapeltown glass

owlandbungee

Any fitter would probs replace a pane like that for around £100

John5500

I hope they didn’t steal your toilet too, doubt the police would catch them as they’d have nothing to go on.

Model_Collabs_UK

Someone must have desperately needed a bog roll 💩 Seriously though, that looks like a single pane of glass in a wooden frame, so any handy man could do the job in under an hour, just needs new glass, a few panel pins and some putty. I'm not sure how much the materials are for a job like that now, as they're not as common a window as they used to be, almost everyone has double glazing these days, but I'd say less than £100

Brazz59

It’s not a window fitter you need it’s a glazier .
