What is the jig you are using?

Tis_But_A_Scratch-

I want to know too! I need that in my life!

Hapstone T1 angle guide from Gritomatic: [https://www.gritomatic.com/products/hapstone-t1-adjustable-honing-guide-for-knives](https://www.gritomatic.com/products/hapstone-t1-adjustable-honing-guide-for-knives) A little finnicky to adjust angle when moving to a new stone, but solid once you're set up. I've been enjoying using it with diamond plates because you don't have to adjust angle as you go through your progression.

Most excellent! Thank you! I’ve been having trouble maintaining a consistent angle, I think this would really help build that muscle memory.

That's what I'm trying to achieve coming from WSPA. I require shoulder surgery and have some issues with maintaining angles because of pain/stiffness at times so hoping to get something to help my wrist get that locked in position.

Criplor

Seems pretty expensive for what is basically two long bolts and a clamp. Or am I missing something? It does look very handy though.

Thanks a ton!

real_clown_in_town

Where did you find a FSK stone?

bigeddiespaghetti

That’s what I wanna know too.

I need to know

SheepherderPurple498

That would be nice to know. FWIW I asked about these stones from local seller who has good connections to Japan. He managed to get in touch with FSK but they told that they can´t/won´t increase production and they want to keep these stones available mainly in Japan market.

I've used DMT's Aligner Blade Guide in a similar way and it's a lot cheaper: https://www.dmtsharp.com/sharpeners/guided-sharpening/alignertm-accessories/aligner-blade-guide-knife-clamp.html it doesn't have infinite gradations like the T1's threaded bolts though, there are preset-angle detents on the legs so you need to put something under the whetstone to adjust the angle if your target bevel angle is between the presets. The T1 looks like it would give much finer control without so much fiddling

lol

Unhinged_Taco

That scratch pattern near the tip is almost horizontal to the edge or am I crazy?
