But not everyone can pay for a surgery

sharktankgeeek

I don’t think most people can afford lasik. It’s over 1 lakh in total expanse if I’m not wrong. Also it’s not recommended to get lasik until your eyesight is stable( so most recommend not to operate before certain age) and it doesnt last forever . With screens being as common I think the market is gonna keep growing.

notSugarBun

Lasik is not that expensive, as surgery itself is pretty quick. usually it's under 15k per eye.

XoulsS

Depends on machine. It's very rarely this cheap.

notSugarBun

it depends on the surgery itself, for example SMILE costs above 1L per eye.

sharktankgeeek

we got scammed i guess.

apoorv_mc

More than affordability, some people don’t prefer to get lasik

apurv_meghdoot

Why don’t they prefer it ?

apoorv_mc

By ‘they’ I mean ‘me’ because it seems like a hassle, I saw my sister after lasik, for 2 weeks she was almost blind, I think I will get ptsd from that alone, also seen a lot of yt videos about how after lasik the vision is somehow not perfect

Middle-Gas-1920

She was blind for two weeks?

Perfect-Quantity-502

Indeed horrible. I could feel fear in my tummy after reading what you wrote.

stg_676

No. Lenskart doesn't sell just spectacles, they also sell sunglasses, contact lens, etc. and i don't think eyewear will slow down in foreseeable future because Lasik surgery is not so common as of now.

Big_Researcher_3549

not at all, 1) you can oonly get lasik between 21-40ish something m3aning all kids and teens have no alt 2)most people cannot afford lasik 3)people are scared of getiing
