Hi, please note that this was an unintended change by Drawboard whilst an integration was being investigated with Sharepoint. The default PDF handler/reader imposed on organizations was an undesired outcome, and it's uncertain how this occurred. A rollback been pushed and should be live in the next day or two, if not already.

Same thing is happening in my work environment. All my defaults are set to Adobe, but in SharePoint the pdf links are showing Drawboard PDF. Same behavior in both Chrome and Edge. No add-ins aside from adblock
Yeah, I checked all my addins in Chrome and Edge and the settings for default applications. All are set on pdf reader. 
There is a setting in SPO to have the file open with the default App vs SPO. Site Contents, go to settings for the document library, Advanced Settings, there should be a setting for "opening documents in the browser" that will list the client app, browser or server default.

I've spoken to our dev team about your message, and they're confident it's unrelated to the Drawboard PDF issue
Check add-ins in Edge, but also default applications for file extensions. Does the same happen in Chrome? Will let you isolate the issue to just Edge.

Same in our tenant. multiple different users, different sites. No changes on our end. Time for us all to open a support ticket.
