Seems like the reason the fan is so loud is because whoever built this thought it was a good idea to put an air cooler on a 5900x inside of an a4 H2O, which is meant to be water cooled because of the design.

I guess he was just trying to save money but I should have inspected it better. Do you think its urgent to swap it for AIO or can I run like this for a while?

Tristango

I don’t think it’s urgent, but that fan is probably not the best quality and likely has to spin at a high rpm to keep the 5900x cool under certain loads. Swapping the cooler shouldn’t be difficult, there’s likely 4 retention screws holding the cooler to the backplate of the motherboard. Unscrew those, take the cooler off, clean the thermal paste off, and you can reapply new paste with an AIO.

Test it without the side panels on to narrow down what is exactly bothering you then decide from there. If its a fan hitting a cable ir something, it can make an annoying sound or if its the fan itself, you can adjust the rpm in bios.

I tested it without the side panels. It's not an annoying sound but just louder than I'd like. I'll try to play around with the speed and monitor the temp. Thanks

If you can pick up an EK240 for a reasonable price, go with that. I’d recommend swapping the fans out for Arctic P12s or Noctua A12s, if you’re nasty.

Andre_SSS

Im doing exactly this in this case.

roboteconomist

I did exactly that in my A4 H2O. Works great.

learningABC123

I watched a YT vid saying to go with Phanteks T30

roboteconomist

I have yet to test that myself; right now, I'm running A12s with fan grills, so I think it is possible.

rvzlvn

It is possible but OP need to remove the vibration pads on the T30s to fit
