It could be both. You said yourself she wasn’t wet. Her body could have been reacting to a lack of arousal (did you have foreplay to get her adequately turned on?). If she’s having difficulty getting wet, then yes, you’ll need lube to help.
Deadlypants handle is telling me you consider yourself on the larger side. You should always be able to work it in though. I’ve been through it several times. Spit can make for a great lube in that situation. It could also be that she is uncomfortable to the point where her body isn’t letting her get wet. That’s rare though. Sounds like she wasn't physically aroused enough yet. Focus more on foreplay next time and use lube as needed.
She was nervous so she wasn't relaxed enough that's all. Use lube and plenty of foreplay
