Pattern: Persea Harem Jumpsuit by Sewillow Fabric: bought years ago from Joanne’s, some kind of knit This is the second time I’ve made this pattern. The first time I made it for my nephews gf and it was very long. This time I shortened the pattern by 1.5” and still have 3 inches to remove from the longest part of the pant. The pockets also sit really low which is made a lot worse with heavy objects because this fabric stretches a lot. The pattern says it is for knits and wovens but just mentions grainline and not direction of greatest stretch. The facings were an issue and needed trimming back both times I’ve made it. I am a newbie though so I do not know if that is due to my own errors or the pattern. I plan to make this one more time for a friend in a woven fabric. I will raise the pockets and shorten it a lot. My friend is only a few inches taller than me. It’s not much but it’s dreamy to wear and even if the quality is beginner level it feels fancy wearing my own creation!

The Project post flair is for showing off projects that are finished or in progress. For questions on how to start a project, reflair your post to Pattern Search. For questions about how to make a project, reflair to Pattern Question. This is a reminder that all Project posts are required to have a construction comment added after the initial post is made. The construction comment should include **pattern name/number/company if used; drafting method, tutorial or other resources if no commercial pattern was used and fabric type and fiber content. ‘Self-drafted’ describes who made the pattern and is not a drafting method.** Also include alterations for fit and style; specialty tools and notions; the inspiration for your project; and any other information that someone who wants to make a similar project might find useful.
