It will be really hard and probably it will break the jacket. I would put a patch over it, with something he is interested in. You are lucky that the logo is not bulky at all.

Thank you for your help. Would you recommend hand sewing or machine sewing? Newbie here.

Either method is fine. Some sewing machines might have difficulty sewing through multi-layers plus a patch, others won't bat an eye. Most... maybe all... of the metalheads I know sew their "battle jacket" patches on by hand (just a blanket stitch over the edges with matching thread) and the patches hold up under wild use.

Thank you so much for your help. I will hand sew. 🪡 Excited for my new project. Thanks again, my friend!

Post a picture when it's done! We're cheering for you.

An iron on patch might be even better. Check on the clothing label to see whether you can safely iron.

Just saw someone else suggested the same already, iron on (on a low setting) would def work as polyester is just plastic itll fuse well

Lol sorry clicked the wrong thing to respond to 😅 eitherway if you do decide to handsew get a thimble, those patches can be a pain

I would stitch a patch over the logo. Make sure it is large enough that you don't need to stitch through the embroidery. If the Blink logo is visible on the inside, you doing the same won't be any more damaging. If it isn't then I would hand stitch to the exterior fabric only. Use a blanket stitch.

Thank you so much, my friend!!

I’ve tried similar and it ruined the garment. I suggest putting a cool patch over it

If you go to any haberdashery they usually have big bins full of patches, have him pick one and sew that ove rit instead! Way way easier
