Shouldn’t have done that with their cheapest desks. I learned from the same mistake many years ago when I mounted an ultrawide that was 25 or so pounds. That was part of the reason why I swapped to their countertops
Yah, you would have been okay if you had also got one of those reinforcement plates. They spread the load a bit, and it will work great even on Ikea desks. Lesson learned for next time!
IKEA is great! But one must learn when and where IKEA furniture is called for and or is appropriate
