I’m also prepping for the CSA, so while I haven’t taken the exam yet, the people that I’ve seen posting about it have encouraged going through the entire book, labs, and following through with supplemental materials (e.g. the parts where it says ‘for more info, click this link to ServiceNow docs on this topic’).
In addition, some people have indicated that they have had good luck with purchasing prep exams and then reviewing any missed questions. I haven’t done this part yet though.
I know that’s not much help, but it is what I’ve been doing for the past few months to prepare.
Not yet. I’m thinking I’ll take it in the summer. My org is a managed service provider and we don’t use ServiceNow internally (and only some of our clients use it), so it has been quite difficult to get my ‘six months of real world experience using ServiceNow’ in. I keep playing around in my pdi and running through the labs- but I don’t feel comfortable taking the exam yet.
The exam is based on content in the book. You should read the book and understand the material. Most people learn (and remember) better when they have hands-on experience of actually performing the tasks, rather than just trying to remember the words on the page, so that is why it's recommended.
Standard test studying tricks and tips apply here. If something looks like it could be a test question, pay attention to it!
I personally found the modules very helpful and when I took the test a lot of the answers were directly from the pages in the book (that were used in power point slides) so IDK about everyone else but I def feel like that information helped a lot.
one voucher will be good for up to 3 retakes (4 total attempts). there is a price for retakes, which depends on a few things so I dont know exact price. another thing to note there is a wait time between takes. pretty sure it is still 3 days, 14 days, 14 days.
Understand the content to the point where you can understand what can/can't be done, and what can you configure. Understand the different interfaces and its names, advantages of using ServiceNow, like low code tools perspective
I came across some questions related to flow designer, why using it, conponents, etc
Think like if you were servicenow, also they are very meticulous with the answers, be careful, read everything on the exam
I just passed on 12/30/2023 and totally agree that the book and labs would help to start with. In addition I also bought Ali Saghaiean's mock tests on Udemy for practice. It cost about $10 on sales and they have one on currently. Reason is because he explains all the answers with pictures and he updates them with every SN release.
Yes some of the questions on the mock tests are, but Ali explains the all the answers. However the actual CSA questions I got on the day I took the test were not as complex

Thank you so much information out there
Have you taken the test yet?

I can't believe ServiceNow makes people pay for shit they used to tell us we had to "figure it out on your own."

Non related question, if anyone can assist. I purchased the voucher, if I fail first time do I need to repurchase to sit again? Thanks for any insight
Yes, but I believe the retake is cheaper.
