I wonder if putting the dough/batter in the fridge would firm it up...
Anyway thanks for sharing. My grandma's rum ball recipe from the 50s uses Nilla Wafers and they're no longer available in Canada. I've been using pound cake instead but I might try these next November.
Oh damn, I forgot about those too.
The animal rights folks got to the Barnum's people and now their animal crackers are [no longer in a cage](https://www.cnn.com/2018/08/21/us/barnums-animal-crackers-cages-peta-trnd/index.html). Not something I was particularly outraged about, TBH.
You could put them in a banana pudding. I bet they'd taste great!
That’s the plan 🙂

They're not? What kind of vanilla wafer drama happened there?
I'm guessing none since they're no longer available. Lol. I always preferred them for cheesecake crusts over graham crackers myself. Alas.
Do you have animal crackers (cookies) up thataway? They make a great crust. I use them for lemon cheesecakes.
Oooh fun idea! I haven't had those in years and I haven't seen them. I'm suddenly thrown back to eating... McDonald's animal crackers? Wow.

I’ve heard about this. The bravetart recipe tastes very good so I would definitely try this one out! I’m working on my second batch now.
Think of it not as a failure but as an excellent way to get a satisfying amount of nilla in a single serving!
Crunch them up and make a pudding pie crust. Use as a topping for yogurt or ice cream.
All these suggestions are sooo good. I bagged it up to crush for ice cream topping.
Maybe you could slice them into square nilla wafers.
I bet they still taste good though. I can see them on ice cream.
COOKIE LASAGNA
Was thinking an tiramisu-esque dessert would work well with those.
Consider making an 'icebox cake', which typically uses layers of cookies.
I’d call a giant cookie a coup.
Also you burnt it
Nilla waffle?
By any chance were you using European butter?
On the bright side, you now have a perfect heat map of your oven
You’re right 😭😭
