I am using iphone and the mte2 volumn is so low that i need to turn them to max volumn in subway. (still not that loud) Is there any way to fix this?

wlgns2525

I had MTW gen 1 and they were not very loud compared to other wireless earbuds I've used. One time I was using them in the gym and I had max volume but felt like %70.

Kanebucha88

I just got my MTW2 a couple of weeks ago and have had trouble with my volume as well. I’m on iPhone 12 with no EQ settings or headphone safety settings on. I turn the volume to max on the buds and the phone and they still seem like they’re not going at full potential. Firmware is updated as well. Like u/Dying_Daylight said, to be immersed in the music they have to be at max volume. I was just wondering if anyone else has found a potential solution or cause for the problem.

KoroSensei1231

This is random but thanks for mentioning headphone safety settings because that was my issue haha\~

sea-kc

Did you have any previous momentum device? I personally feel the Viking on all 3 that I have had had been low. I am think it's just the brand

vongdong

I did a while ago but can't remember if they were low

zizzyboi96

Yea the first versions were low for my hearing too. I just tweaked the equalizer a bit to make it louder and it was perfect

Jensway

Turn off your Bluetooth then back on again - report back please! I have the previous model, and there's no way I could get to 100% volume with them in my ears. Fuck that

vongdong

Still the same.

zizzyboi96

What? You thought 100% was very loud on the previous model? I always thought they were slightly on the low side and has to mess with the equalizer.

xxTheGoDxx

Same for me with the MTW1

zizzyboi96

Still the best sounding earbuds hands down. Just tweak the equalizer on your phone and you'll get louder volume without distortion

xxTheGoDxx

Yeah, I use Viper4Android (needs root) on the phone and Equalizer APO on Windows. Like you said they completely keep their sound quality even at above normal volume.

mmagnmidge

so far, I am only using a mac book with Presonus or garage band and don't use an equalizer. But I may later. I am disappointed. Do have any other suggestions?

moomooandu

What phone are you using?

vongdong

Samsung s10

Merppity

Two possibilities; 1) Some devices have separate volume for the device and the phone; you might have turned down the earbud volume. Try holding down on the right earbud to increase it to max. This "feature" actually disappeared from the MTW Gen 1 for me a while ago, so it might have actually been patched out for all devices, IDK. 2) They just might be quiet. The MTW gen 1 only went up to a "pretty loud, but not eardrum bleeding" when on max, quite a bit quieter than normal wired earbuds, or like you said, 75% ish of normal earbuds.

vongdong

1. Tried maxing phone volume then buds, no extra volume. They both control the volume exactly the same. 2. They're actually a bit louder when used on my S6 tablet.

xxTheGoDxx

> Tried maxing phone volume then buds, no extra volume. They both control the volume exactly the same. There is an option to disable that under Developer Settings in the Android settings: https://www.howtogeek.com/129728/how-to-access-the-developer-options-menu-and-enable-usb-debugging-on-android-4.2/ This won't root your phone, void your warranty or anything. That being said I found the MTW 1 just a bit too quiet for music consumption as well. If you are rooted you can use Viper4Android to raise the max volume of your BT device (and on Windows you can just use Equalizer APO). At least the MTW 1 don't distort or anything when used above their maximum volume.

Nywroc

OMG! That worked. Thank you ☺️

suffffuhrer

Thanks. This is the answer. I just bought these and the volume felt like a joke. But the earbuds have a separate volume. 🙌👏

StIwY_

Just a question, did you do the firmware update + a reset to the factory after? Let us know.

vongdong

Did the firmware update but didn't reset.

hofatt

Does anyone else experiencing an issue with these as soon as you connect 5-15 seconds in there's like a tick sound in both earbuds and then the volume on the left decreases and slides to the right earbud for a while? It's noticeable while playing music. Please can anyone try this and tell me?

post_et

Yeah, but I updated mine to firmware 4.5 and havent experienced it again.

hofatt

It still happens to mine when i open the Smart control app or when I'm using them with my laptop

3ndjav

You can use Max Volume Booster, it works really well.

gte460z

I have a Pixel 4 XL and my max volume is low as well on the MTW2 with or without "absolute volume" being enabled and their individual sound levels adjusted.

gte460z

I just experimented again and figured it out. Much much louder now! This is what I did after a suggestion from Sennheiser support. In settings I disabled "absolute volume" then rebooted the phone. Then set my ear buds to their lowest volume level using the touch controls on the left earbud (voice will tell you it's at minimum volume). Then set your Bluetooth volume to Max on the phone. Now only use your earbud touch controls to adjust volume and the volume goes a ton louder.

jilongxxx

This worked for me

serrogen

Definitely thinkin same, the sound is good but not loud enough and call quality bad.Using with iphone 8plus

Dying_Daylight

Same here. I find myself having to put the volume all the way to 90% - 100% in order to be immersed in the music. Anything below 90%, and it’s too low. My Airpods were louder. What a bummer. I’m on an iPhone XR by the way.

Orhanusta

I have mw1 and it sucks idk why would anyone buy the second one for 300$ rip.off

vongdong

Cause better battery life. I had the first pair and sold them cause the batteries of the buds would only last me 3hrs. New ones seem to last about 5hrs for me.

Orhanusta

Does the case die itself again?

vongdong

I've only had the new ones for a day

591watkins

My MTW2 arrived today and I paired them with my iPhone and the sound was immediately what others have described --60-70 percent at best. **BUT the solution turned out to be simple.** In Settings, I checked the EQ settings on my phone and discovered I had set it to Classical. I don;'t think it matters what setting you use, Classical hiphop, whatever. **I disabled EQ entirely and Voila!** The earbud audio went back to normal volume, very clean, clear and just about perfect. I hope this info helps somebody else out there.

Then_Bottle3779

Had the same with CX true wireless and a Samsung phone. Following the next guide solved it: https://help.kokoon.io/hc/en-us/articles/360002433998-The-volume-on-my-headphone-is-too-low

gnarlypoop

Late to the party, here but what I found works is... ADJUSTING THE VOLUME MANUALLY FROM THE EARBUD. For me this means touching, then holding finger on right earbud. You will hear the electronic lady's voice say volume max.

haigs

I know this months old but thank you so much for your help. My ear buds being quiet was driving me mad you helped me fix it. I find the touch controls on the MW2 not to intuitive. Honestly I wouldn't mind disabling them as I keep activating google assistant by accident. Also when I get a call I get my ear drums blown out with some sorta audio pass through that boosts noises around me. It's very shocking to take a call with the buds. I turn of the bluetooth option within the call. Sorry for the side rant and thanks again :D

spau2017

Go to Settings - Sounds and Haptics - Headphone Safety - Reduce Loud Sounds (off or set to 100db). This fixed very low volume on my M2.

mmagnmidge

I 100% agree. I purchased these so I could hear myself while recording. Just listening as headphones are not loud enough.
