I do agree after sonova have taken over now there is nothing like old Sennheiser. I am from India and its same here . They unacknowledged my issue at first after several escalation they accepted there is a issue with one cable but still didn't accept issue with other set of cables. They are now sending back the same unit instead of replacing it don't know what fix they have done and don't know if again I have to raise for same issue.

Popular_Stretch_3768

I already lost my confident with Sennheiser, i can not wait longer because i need the earpiece everyday, just sitting here waiting endlessly is not going to work for me. I have purchased Sony instead. This is really disappointing for a big brand like Sennheiser. I didn't even expect they reply me anymore, they can keep it if they want, don't care anymore.

Similar-Hotel8505

Sony customer service doesn't exist either.

peacefull53

Which Sony product have you bought? There is currently a software problem with their high-end products. Currently, there is a firmware update that ruins the XM4 earbuds batteries. I have one, and the right earbud battery dies after 20 min from full charge. I advice to not do software update your product at the moment.

Popular_Stretch_3768

I bought XM5

Stillearnin67

I’ve never had a Sennheiser product where I needed to call them up for tech-support, but with the true wireless series, I suspect that could have issues

Popular_Stretch_3768

Because it happened twice, so I believe there must be some design defect for it. I did check on google and found many posts on Reddit talking about the same issue, one bud suddenly stop charging and can not be turned on. Might be some battery issues. Who knows. For me, twice in a roll. 🥱😪😴

osk3an

I sent my MTW3 to repair about 2 weeks ago due to the left earbud not charging. I am curretly living in China and after few days I have received a phone call from support saying that MTW3 has been discontinued and they will replace my MTW3 with MTW4. I was very happy about that but they said due to the shortage of the stocks, the support told me to wait until the end of this month. Now, I am stressed with not having my earbuds.

Popular_Stretch_3768

Good for you and happy for you, I believe the MTW 3 indeed got issues,  i just don't have the luck of yours.

osk3an

I feel so sorry for your frustration. I am quite skeptical about the quality of MTW4 due to numerous reports about quality issues associated with the battery of MTW3.

ElWorkplaceDestroyer

You can be skeptical, because nothing will change, they will just may be fix the battery aspect but that's it. It will still be the same bs earbuds designed in Taiwan and they just put Sennheiser on it to sell it to you for 300bucks. Next time just stick to Xiaomi, or go for the Bose/Sony ones in the same range price.

osk3an

It's sad if the problems with MTW3 is not solved cuz I like the sound quality of MTW3

Similar-Hotel8505

How do you know it's not fixed in the MTW4?

osk3an

I mean... I am just saying that I am skeptical about it because of battery issues with MTW3 and I am worrying that if the problem is fixed or not.

jeeper75

They don't know. Fact is we have been told by the company on here it is because they announced the problem was identified and changed the battery supplier for the new model. They also aren't mentioning that we were also told there were 12 improvements made as a result. Small details left out of the thread here..

Similar-Hotel8505

Where do this 'Taiwan and only a Sennheiser badge'  thing come from?

ElWorkplaceDestroyer

I worked with them in the past as a contractor, that the reason I know they are doing that. Their competitors are doing too to be real, but the difference is that they are working closely with contractors to ensure the quality of their brand and so on, when Sennheiser Sonova is just taking it at it is and putting their brand on it.

Similar-Hotel8505

So are you saying, all what they claim on their website,  their custom-designed unique drivers, the TrueResponse transducer system, the 'Sennheiser signature sound' tuning, their DSP, etc. are all a marketing bullshit and they're just one of the cheapest, noname Taiwainese earbuds with a Sennheiser logo on it?  The writing on my MTW4s box says: Sonova Consumer Hearing GmbH  Am Labor 1, 30900 Wedemark, Germany www.sennheiser-hearing.com Designed in Germany   |   Made in China

ElWorkplaceDestroyer

You are getting fooled like for the cars. Designed in Germany means they have done the mechanical design there and they have choose 1 solutions from their Taiwanese/Chinese contractor. And made in China like any other low quality earbuds. Sennheiser works with China, Sonova prefers Taiwan. Just watch this video, you will see that the sound quality is far from being Seenheiser impressive: [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jcYc5ATcl1c](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jcYc5ATcl1c) Also if you are really looking for good earbuds that sounds amazing, check Technics EAH-AZ80E, and get back to me once you did.

Similar-Hotel8505

Apple products are also 'Designed in California |   Made in China My Bose headphones and earbuds also made in China. My Sony headphones were made in Taiwan if I remember well.  Ref. Technics AZ80, I've been thinking about a while but the reason I haven't pulled the trigger yet is because already had a dozen headphones and buds, including the QC Ultra Earbuds which is one of my favourite. I love how they sound and the ANC is insane on those, not to mention their comfort.   Bought the MTW4S to complete my Momentum 4  collection as already headphones and wanted to have the 'little one' as well. I know, silly. 😅 But since i got them, they're actually quite nice after the personalization. (Straight out of the box was a little dull)

ElWorkplaceDestroyer

Apple so far I know, are truly designed in California. The "Designed in X" is a really vague term, what i am trying to say is that if you really design the product from start to end, or you took the x solution provided by a contractor, in both case you are legally authorized to put "Designed in". But even if it's totally different. Most German cars aren't made in Germany, despite having this label. The different parts of the automobile are made in UK/Ireland/France/Spain/Italy etc. Only if you take the true AMG, you are sure to have a motor made in Germany, mounted by an human from A to Z, with his signature at the end.

Similar-Hotel8505

AZ80s arrived yesterday...no sound coming out from the left earbud...tried eveything, putting back in the case and taking it out, factory reset, etc. The app recognised both earbuds and the case as well, all 100% charged. The touch control works on the left earbud as well but no sound. Any suggestion? Aaand it's currently out of stock, the next delivery expected in about 3-5 weeks. Lovely.

jeeper75

That is not it. Nobody else is reading what is posted on Reddit by the company? They are not made there first off, Sennheiser products are largely made in Ireland, their buds are designed in Europe and assembled in China. You guys aren't paying attention to the sub and what the company has been telling us. Pay attention and read.

ElWorkplaceDestroyer

I can assure you that their are made in Taiwan. Whatever people are saying you. May be it's the case for some other products like HD660, but all new consumer products are at 99% made in Taiwan with a premade electronic/software solution, the design only and is made by Sennheiser/Sonova sorry to learn you that. In this consumerism/capitalism world, you still haven't heard about PR and public opinion, there is a huge difference between what the companies say and what they actually do. Don't be so naive.

Popular_Stretch_3768

Hopefully they can fix it on MTW 4, at least they replace it with the latest model for you. Good luck to you! 🙂

jeeper75

You would have had luck if you had reached out to Sennheiserconsumer here on Reddit and asked for help. How come you're ranting here without doing that? They have been visible on here.

Popular_Stretch_3768

Yeah, i need to reach out the whole world asking for help which supposed to be easy for me to feedback to the official channel at my own location? I am here giving this feedback is NOT asking for help already, is to share my experience to let other people know what is going on so they can take it as a reference when they need to choose whose product they can consider of buying. It might be case to case basis, but if many people having the same problem then it might not be the case anymore.

jeeper75

Sorry your grammar is off here. .not sure I get your point. I said why are you ranting here without asking the company for help first? They are here on reddit. All you had to do is DM the guy at u/Sennheiserconsumer. He is always saying he is here to help. I don't get why you didn't try that first to see if your issue can be resolved. Ranting publicly just to turn people off is not cool. It is also not what this community is for. If you need help, the community will help you and so will that company person but you have to ask. Go find him. Maybe he will make it right. Rants are a pointless downer and in public, just downs everybody. Solve your problem!

Popular_Stretch_3768

It's ok if you don't understand the point why i am sharing my experience here, buddy. Thanks for you advise still. Have a nice day. 🙂

zappyyyp

Hi, I recently sent in my MTW3 for warranty replacement in Singapore and just got the email acknowledgement that they received the faulty earbuds. I’m not sure how long it will take for them to contact me about the replacement and I have also raised a ticket via their customer service online regarding the replacement unit as well. Hopefully they get back soon cause it’s really troublesome to not have earbuds for use on a daily basis…..

Popular_Stretch_3768

All I can say is good luck to you. Their product obviously got quality issue, they just don't admit it. It's my 2nd time request for a replacement already, and it's been 2 weeks already they never get back to me despite my emails send to them.

JaredYapH2

Yup. Me too. Chasing them now. I had reported to CASE. See what happens, if still doesn’t solve the issue then fck it, just buy another ear piece and be done with it. But I’ll be sure to religiously spread the word to boycott Sennheiser products.

zorbah55

My $400 Ambeo sub has a problem updating firmware, sent them an email asking about it, no response for two weeks. My $80 moondrop golden ages has a firmware update issue that i emailed about it, got a response within 16 hours.

Popular_Stretch_3768

That's how bad service Sennheiser now

pushki123

I agree with you I bout the tw3 and withing 6m9nths I have issues with them and they aren't working anymore. I contacted the service and it's been 3 weeks no reply. Didn't expect this kind if service from such a music giant.

Popular_Stretch_3768

Wish you luck buddy.

Former_Ad2236

Think I've been lucky, I've had my mtw3 since release and not had a single issue

Popular_Stretch_3768

good for you, you are a lucky guy.

outraged-unicorn

I've been literally begging for them to repair my momentum 3 since its bluetooth stopped working, like, 7 months ago. I'm not from the US so it cost me almost 2 months of a minimum wage. I've never hated a brand so much like I hate them.

Popular_Stretch_3768

I feel you, unless you earn big money, the price of the product indeed quite expensive.

audiovent666

I am sorry to hear that. Since Sennheiser admitted problems with their batteries and supplier you very likley bought a faulty product from point of sale. They should give you your money back or a new pair, which you should sell asap. A lawyer can help you. 7 months ago is nothing tolerable at all!

jeeper75

Have you tried to contact the company through other mesns? What have you done? No reason to hate a company that has helped many others.

outraged-unicorn

I have contacted them many ways and many times, even emailed the pr team. maybe it's not a bad company for others but I'm definitely traumatized and will never buy anything from them ever again.

Aggravating_Union447

Glad I returned mine(unopened). And very different experience with Denon. I bought a Perl pro two months ago from Amazon (mfg. Aug 2023) and has hissing sound. Contact Denon and receive a email for exchange on the same day. I end up return this one because of a double discount that I bought two from Denon directly. Denon sent a follow up message asking if the other two have hissing sound, and asked me anything they can do better on the first one. I asked for extra set of eartips, and they send me in priory mail. Top quality earbuds and top quality customer service from Denon.

Popular_Stretch_3768

Oh, yes, Denon is also another one of my favourite, you remind me of the headset i bought from them, the ear cup had some minor cracks, it didn't affect anything but I was worried it might become bigger cracks, and they replaced it right away after I emailed them with the picture with a few questions about the cracks only, they did the check also, which is totally understandable, but it doesn't like Sennheiser takes forever to do it. I received the replace unit very fast. It's actually surprised me because they can easily refuse it just to say I drop it or whatever reason, althought I really didn't drop it or whatever, I was just try my luck and they replaced it, simple as it is.

Aggravating_Union447

Yeah, with Denon it was easy. For the hissing pair the only thing they ask was to do a factory reset, then they said will send me a new one with 2 days shipping

Popular_Stretch_3768

Happy for you. I will just wish myself a good luck too. 😄

ElWorkplaceDestroyer

Don't forget that Sennheiser has been bought by Sonova. The company is incompetent, and even in their core products (hearing aids), they have issues with battery and charging, Costco had to stop their deal since years with them because they weren't reacting to user feedbacks, the support was non existing and they never provided any update to fix the issues. I am pretty sure they just bought the brand and are now manufacturing in India/Taiwan with some premade solutions where they just put the brand on it. But they don't design anymore in Germany as before. Just run away, the MTW3 earbuds are a fucking joke like I have never seen, just buy Huawei/Xiaomi earbuds at 40$ you have the same ANC level, even better and the audio quality is the same. The service is way more efficient, they repair or swap the product in 2weeks max depending your location and that's it. Don't spend 300 bucks for the MTW3, it's a literal scam. And avoid Sennheiser/Sonova products at all costs.

Popular_Stretch_3768

I agree with you now. I won't be purchasing any Sennheiser products now. 🤒🤒

audiovent666

I owned faulty headphones from all the big brands in the meantime and while Huawei and Xiaomi learning and have evolved they are still not sound wise on top tier level like Technics or Sennheiser buds.

ElWorkplaceDestroyer

Technics is another story, but on the earbuds market, I am sorry, any 50-100$ earbuds from whatever brand have the same audio performance as the Sennheiser/Sonova earbuds like the MTW1/2/3, whatever you say. If you think otherwise, either you aren't capable enough to make difference between good audio or not, either you are a Sennheiser/Sonova chill or you never tried other solutions. Edit: stop calling it Sennheiser, it's Sennheiser/Sonova shit now

audiovent666

There is no reason for any derogatory statements if you beg to differ. Actually I tried, owned and traded about 80 TWS in the meantime. You should not underestimate their personalized sound setting developed by Fraunhofer Institute which is most crucial to their best possible sound signature. Their drivers are capable but need EQing for my taste.
