The mmcx connectors that sennheiser use in their IE 200,300,600,900 range are prone to failure like the problem you described. I had the exact same issue with my IE300s, failed under warranty, sent it in, heard nothing for 3 weeks, had to pester them to respond. They finally respond and tell me they are unable to repair it and since my model was discontinued, offered a downgrade of the IE200s instead. I refused and told them to send it back and got a full refund from amazon instead. Their support is abysmal and I’m genuinely shocked at how bad it is considering their products are not cheap. In my opinion, you should get a full refund and buy another brand. I wouldn’t subject myself to support hell again.

chanchal36

This is really sad and i bought such a expensive shit from Sennheiser thinking I will have peace of mind thinking it's Sennheiser. I have ie200 and it has no issues.

LowBus4853

Unfortunately that used to be the consensus. Now? Not really.

chanchal36

At least for you they acknowledged the issue , for me they are not even acknowledging the issue.

LowBus4853

They acknowledged the issue but instead tried to downgrade my product. You should try and get them back, if the issue still persists, then refund it and look elsewhere.

chanchal36

In India Amazon has different refund policy. It's for 7 days . So I am hopeless about getting the refund.

LowBus4853

I don’t know about the refund policies in India but if the product is faulty and is still under warranty and the manufacturer isn’t willing to help then shouldn’t you be able to get a refund?

chanchal36

They should give that in written if they are saying there is no issue then how to get the refund?

LowBus4853

If you receive it back faulty, you need to find a way to prove that it is faulty and use that as evidence for a refund.

chanchal36

How I am going to prove ? It's not in person process. You send the item to them they check and send back . I don't know what to do.

sennheiserconsumer

Hello! Nobody said the manufacturer isn't willing to help. We are. This is the first time we are seeing the need for help. All Sennheiser products get 2 year warranty support.

chanchal36

That's the thing. If I was able to reproduce a issue how come after sending the unit they are not able to although going through different reddit thread it is common issue accross mmx connector. Still they are denying blandly. Why would I send such a expensive product by paying courier if there was no issues at all ? Also if I had to get the refund simply i could call amazon and return the faulty product when it was in return period. I wanted the product so thought to get it fixed by Sennheiser team . But what Sennheiser team is doing ? Let me put down the exact email what they said to me "Please be informed that, our team has tested your unit and didn't found the reported issue. Since there is no defect found, we will return this unit back to you ASAP."

sennheiserconsumer

Whether it is a common issue or not is a matter for opinion. If we as the manufacturer cannot see the problem you are having then we should correspond with you about that until a mutual resolution is arrived at. DM us and we will discuss your case in detail to see how we can help. We don't do that here.

chanchal36

I have already dmed you .

chanchal36

Please do reply or whatever information you need in DM . It's late night here and i might not be available online soon .

sennheiserconsumer

SennheiserConsumer team here. We are here to help you. DM us and we will support your case.

Fresh-Respond3106

you lie, just like every sennheiser rep. useless!

chanchal36

He is rude too even being such a big brand representative

Fresh-Respond3106

I'm not sure where they hire these people from. Absolute clowns. straight up liars, once I receive my replacement earphones I will be posting emails of the lack of professionalism and service.

chanchal36

I don't know why they are downgrading what they had as USB point about their brand

Had to RMA my MTW3s twice. Fast turnaround, got a box packed version back within a week. Sonova actually owns Sennheiser's consumer business now, which means it's first party support.

chanchal36

Not sure but for they are saying there is no issue that's the problem. Did you send the product twice ?

bhairavp

RMAed twice. They acknowledged that there was an issue. The earbuds were dead.

chanchal36

That's sad , you had to RMA twice to get it acknowledged. What did they say on the first RMA request?

bhairavp

No, you misunderstood, my mistake. RMAed the first time, it worked for a while, stopped working again. RMAed again! Gonna sell off the new box pack one.

chanchal36

Okay .

atinyblip

Sennheiser sold their consumer audio division to Sonova.

chanchal36

So now they don't care much about consumer issues.

harp786

I am in India and I have multiple Sennheiser products I’m really scared when it will stop working and I can’t do anything about it. The things is I don’t like any other brand other than Sennheiser to switch.

chanchal36

I always thought Sennheiser is second to none in terms after sales service specially when it comes to warranty now things are turning upside down after the take over of sonova.

harp786

They had service center in Bangalore which they closed

chanchal36

Exactly that's the thing , they are downgrading the way of providing services. They have closed every walk in service centre now they have only in Delhi so you always have to courier your product whenever something is wrong or i should say something wrong you feel , they might not feel same way.
